By far the best grand strategy game on PS4. A bit tricky to remember all commands on the hand-control, but most of it is very intuitive. I have been playing this for about one and a half days, since there are no user reviews yet I thought I would put something up. If you liked Civilization you will love this game. If you liked Civilization you will love this game. Some of the messages are poorly translated from another language but not the majority. I read somewhere that the text was too small but I have not had that issue on a 42" screen. I have yet to complete the campaign mode which is essentially the training mode. The booklet included with the game is vague at best and the in-game tips menu is hardly better. Trying to find out how to play the game on message boards is also a no go, all information available is about the PC version. My big gripe about the game is that you are not provided with any real instruction on how to play. You will be frustrated, be prepared. There is no system link capability on this game. If you want to play someone in your household you both have to get online, really disappointing.

That being said, it is worth buying. There is no load time and I haven't noticed any glitches yet. If you like strategy games this one will not disappoint, once you spend way to long figuring it out with no instructions that is.

It's basically Port Royale in Europe. It's very expansive and has a town building element much like that of Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence. Other than that it lacks any real charm or memorable feel.

A beautiful game. It reminds me of playing The Settlers on Amiga, years ago, one of my most favourite games, so high praise indeed. The controls on PS4 are very well implemented, which makes it a joy to play. The graphics are tremendous. An update has given the option to increase text sizes, which was much needed. I love the European setting (I'm from the UK), it feels very authentic. The pace is just about right and there is plenty to do. Even my wife has started playing it. I wouldn't be surprised if we're still playing it in a year's time. Expand

This is a good strategy game, with almost all elements are there: economy, trade, dynasty, diplomacy, exploration, war, ...
The graphics are beautiful and the game is to a very big extend reminds me of Total War series, however a bit more boring to be honest, with lack of Total War battles. However, it fills a big gap of that genre of games on PS4. For me it's a clear 9/10 (at least).

This game have a fantastic economical system, the best economycal system who i ever saw in a strategy game. If you want to go to war with another faction you must to have a solid economy and this is a very realistic thing that i love of this game. if this game had a better political/diplomacy system
it would be a better strategy game but is a very good option if you only have a PS4 for

In an attempt to please all kinds of strategy players by adding city building, trading and wars, Grand Ages: Medieval miserably fails on all accounts.

A very good strategy game set in the Middle Ages... but the diplomacy and trade sections are much better developed than the battles.

A fine option for those on PS4 craving more strategy. [Issue#167, p.93]
