One of the best classics platform games. This is nice remaster with improved graphics and controls plus for traditionalists there is also the option to enable original graphics. Some additional levels would be nice but currently only the original levels are available. I would recommend it to fans of original game and platform games overall.

GODS is a classic plattform/puzzler from Bitmap Brothers. And we played a few titles from them when we were young.
However, this is a rather poorly effort to re-skin the game. In the later times, i have gotten a bad taste in my mouth for these kind of remastered games.
As great as the original is, nothing has been improved to lift the controls up and modernise it. It is still cumbersome

As great as the original is, nothing has been improved to lift the controls up and modernise it. It is still cumbersome and cramped. I like the idea of simply take a time machine back to the 90´s by pressing R3. But that also pretty much tell you it IS a re-skin on top of the old.
The graphical overhaul is okay by itself, but so much more should have been done.
Also, i gotta say, the loading times is pathetic. We used to play this game on Atari ST, and it loaded FASTER on that machine in 1992 than this console port version. Unacceptable.
The original game is a 9/10.. this remaster is only a 6/10 for the effort. So much more could have been done, but alas.

Man, this game throws me back to 1991. If you want to replay this classic on the current-gen consoles, please support these developers. The only negative thing I can think of is the remastered sound design, just use the original sounds. The remastered sound design just makes my ears bleed, it's so bad : there's no volume control, sounds just sound obnoxious, the remastered ost is so badlyMan, this game throws me back to 1991. If you play this game with the classic sounds it deserves an 8,5. If you bought this game, please revert your standard setting to the original sounds, only then you will get the true GODS experience. Nevertheless, the bad remastered sound design doesn't reflect the quality of the game luckily. Graphics, gameplay etc. are beautifully remastered, don't let the bad sound mix get in your way of enjoying the game. Expand

By only making skin deep improvements to the game and not touching any of the deep-seated flaws that lurk at the core of Gods original 1991 offering, Gods Remastered ends up being a largely disappointing and straight-laced remaster that will likely only appeal to the most die-hard of fans.
