Feb 6, 2019This game is a slog. So boring. It basically expects you to manage multiple systems within the game with no direction. It is much worse than No Man's Sky was at launch. Here is your ship, here are the planets, here are some generic aliens, have fun everyone! The game is not fun....AT ALL. It gets a 2 from me because it runs at 60 FPS. I traded it in after 3 hours. Save your money.

Feb 2, 2019Very addictive indie game, reminds me a lot of the aliens movies and has great replay value, takes a while to understand everything but is worth it in the end

Feb 26, 2020I absolutely adore this game! No idea why people hat it so much. If you like nerdy space sims and care for immersion over graphics, then this game is for you!
Could be they patched it over the year after it's release, don't know, I'm literally late to the game but I have not enjoyed anything as much as this in a long time. -

Apr 28, 2020I love the concept of this game, I love the music the style it's all around a great game, two things I would like to see more than anything though, first is the planet maps being made bigger, and there being a multi-player so you can play with friends. It would be nice if you could have a total of 5 players since you start with 5 crew members anyways

Mar 19, 2020From a stylistic point of view, the game got its hooks deep in me because I felt it drew visual and aural inspiration from the likes of 1980s sci-fi film legends Douglas Trumbull, John Carpenter, and Ridley Scott. Genesis: Alpha One offers a tense and methodical approach to roguelike survival through base building and resource gathering in one of the most harshest environments imaginable.

Mar 4, 2019Monotone missions and uninventive enemies, combined with bad AI, makes this game more of a chore than enjoyment.

Feb 27, 2019An unusual game because it successfully blends together different genres. Managing your ship combined with first person shooter gameplay topped off by a randomly generated environment which can be utterly unforgiving makes for a highly original experience. The audiovisual style stands out and replayability is obviously very good. The tutorial could have been somewhat better because you'll be struggling to understand the game's mechanics when you first start out. A unique and captivating title that successfully blends different genres.
