It's a decent port, but it could be better if the devs had put in bit of a more effort.

Minus: - Graphics are not really improved. It's the same 16-bit graphics, scaled up with added effects on top such as CRT-filter, bloom, smoothing etc. It does actually look better with these turned off with the exception of scanline emulation. Bit disappointing. - Tutorial overlays doesn't look

    - Tutorial overlays doesn't look very good and is sometimes not presented when you need them
    - No modern control scheme. It's as clunky and static as in the 90s

    Plus:
    - Trophies
    - Rewind function works well
    - Tutorials can be reviewed anytime and is easy accessable.

For those who don't know or are too young to remember Flashback was one of the best games of the 16-Bit era with jaw dropping animation, ground breaking cinematics and inventive level design. This 25th anniversary edition has plenty of new features - the "modern" mode with improved graphics and sound is well done and the directors cut should intrigue fans of the original. The tutorial and rewind features are nice but not essential but overall Id say this is the best version of an all time classic! Expand

If you're looking to play Flashback on your PS4 console with a couple of mods to improve playability then this is what you're looking for.
I was hoping for a re-master (like Another world 20th anniversary) but, There are no graphical or sound improvements and has the same annoying clunky controls as the original.
Completed in about 4-5 hours. Very dated game, probably best leaving this

Unplayable, even by 1993 standards, plus, its being promoted like it was the 2013 remake.
    Avoid like the plague.

This is the best version of a timeless classic, treated with respect and with QOL improvements to make it palatable even to younger players. Wait for a price drop and grab it.
