Simple as that: They promised and they delivered! The best aim controller game until now.
Remember when you used to play CS? Now you are inside it :)

Take the old CS map style, slow the pace llike the tactical Rainbow Six, mix it on the VR blender. This is Firewall Zero Hour.

Simply amazing and this will go down as a technology defining game, like Goldeneye in the 90s, which brought multiplayer shooting to consoles.
Here are the various reasons why I instantly love this game and I can't wait to play every chance I get. There have been shooters in VR and PSVR but they pull off 4v4 PERFECTLY. I never experienced lag or any weird issues and that is on LAUNCH.

Here are the various reasons why I instantly love this game and I can't wait to play every chance I get. There have been shooters in VR and PSVR but they pull off 4v4 PERFECTLY. I never experienced lag or any weird issues and that is on LAUNCH. That never happens. The graphics are fantastic, the gun sounds realistic, the maps varied and gorgeous, and it facilitates teamwork and cooperation. The games are quick and you get into a game right away after finishing. I played three hours last night and never had a lull in the action.
There are SO many guns to unlock, skills, cosmetics, and other customization options. I truly can't believe how well the developers made this game. It is instantly accessible yet deep enough to keep unlocking and trying out things for months.
    The aim tracking is impeccable.
Grouping up with other people works perfectly and they even let you invite recent players to your party. It's small details like this that go a long way.
People may complain that the walking movement is too slow. But guess what - there is a contractor with extra speed and also a skill that gives you extra speed. That means when you DO unlock those things, it is going to seem extra powerful. So the weakness is actually a strength - the choices you make on your character actually matter.
If you are a gamer, this is ABSOLUTELY WORTH BUYING A PSVR and even buying a PS4 if you don't have one. I am dead serious. It's that much fun. I haven't had this much fun playing a video game since I was a kid and we discovered goldeneye. Something about being in VR with your friends, attacking other people and the infinite strategic variations other humans bring, is completely mind blowing.
I'm actually concerned this game is going to ruin my life because it's that good. Not perfect -- nothing is-- but I truly believe this will go down as the landmark game when the masses discover how good VR is really good. I can honestly say I have no desire to play anything else and no desire to play flat games anymore. It's like going from black and white to color.

    - The ability to blind fire around corners or walls

    Indifferent:
    - Slow progression. It doesn't really bother me cause this way you have something to grind for and keep playing but yeah it's a little on the slow side.
    - The weapon model is a bit higher in-game than your physical controller which bums out some people but i don' really mind

    Con's:
    - No host migration yet so when the host quits, you all quit and if the host has a bad connection you'll probably get kicked. (they're gonna fix that soon)

FIREWALL is finally a VR game that feels like more than a Tech Demo. It has flaws, but nothing that can't be fixed with an update or two. Honestly, it feels like I'm playing SOCOM online on the PS2 line for the very first time. You gotta try it.

Firstly, the negative. There are some tracking issues beyond what seems to be attributable to camera placement and lighting. However I have found that this can mostly be overcome with the correct set up and then the odd power-cycle of the aim controller. Whether this is the game or just the PSVR setup in general I am unsure. Perseverance plays a big part here. I have mostly overcome this now and with the odd-power cycle, it's not that much of a deal breaker really.

No Host migration. If the host player leaves (particularly mid-game) it can be a bit frustrating as the entire game is "destroyed" and everyone is chucked out to the main menu, even disbanding your squad. The rounds are short. It would be nicer if there were fewer lobbies and maybe a best of three round system.

Now for the positive. I LOVE this game, despite the above, and it can only get better. I've been playing for a solid 2-3 hours a day since launch. I'm only level 19 which indicates to me that I am not very good at it. I see new players much lower level than me being much better than me in my team, but hey... I'm old and rubbish at games so it's to be expected.

The gameplay is largely slow paced, where creeping around the map is essential, as are strong team communication skills. There is very little of the john Rambo style play here, or call of duty players jumping around the corners and bouncing all over the place in what I would deem unrealistic. Thank you for not putting a jump button in. Most games with a jump feature are really exploited for this (battlefield 4) removing any element of realism that the game could have had. The rounds are short, and focused and they're over quickly which could be seen as a negative, however for me, that just impresses upon me how important it is to employ proper tactics, strategy planning, communication and taking care. Is it the most realistic game play out there? No, but these things certainly help it toward that goal. And when actual firefights break out, it can be amazingly intense and ultimately very rewarding.

The game is not really complicated and as many would say, if this was a flat screen game, it would probably fall flat (excuse the pun) but it has to be simple, because it's VR. Standard FPS control doesn't really apply here. You can walk in one direction, aim in another direction and look in yet another direction. Being able to aim your gun at a door way and look to check your flanks without moving your gun is a game changer. It adds to the immersion and realism no end. Being able to peek around corners properly without pre-defined character positions and being able to blind fire round corners is fantastic. As an FPS game in VR, this is fantastic and pretty much the only thing we have that resembles a proper, tactical shooter on the PSVR. It is immense fun but saying (and hearing) "just one more round" in lobbies for an hour or longer does get tedious. It's very hard for me to tear myself away from this game. It is very addictive and there is a constant personal objective to do better next time.

I would highly recommend this game to people who like proper tactical game play and not just run-and-gun shooters. Although microphones may not be deemed essential, a team with players all on microphone will always be at an advantage, and it can be a might frustrating meeting team players who are incommunicado. I'll play the game and then leave after the round has finished. I have met plenty of great team mates on this game and the community seems to be non-toxic, patient and forgiving. I was nervous before jumping in for the first time for the fear of letting people down, but I've had a great time.

It requires a team of 4 that aren't shy about using headset / microphone (which is built into the PSVR), but if you have a group or are comfortable making online gaming friends with whom to play together, this is probably the best PS Aim controller game on the market today.

Maybe even the best VR game including all the VR game options on PC.

FIREWALL ZERO HOUR: THE MASTERPIECE VR GAME.
Despite the limitations of PSVR, the creators stood at the height of the task and created a title reminiscent of Siege / CS on VR. In addition to peer-to-peer, it's hard to find some flaws here. The content is large, 9 maps, lots of weapons and skins to unlock. This game is simply a musthave for PSVR users. Take your aim controller and go play!

There is a lack of game modes with it being online only and being limited to one game mode via PvP and PvE.

Despite the games launch bugs FZH has gameplay that is solid and smooth, it has deep customization options, and despite jaggies the graphics are quite crisp and clean.

Currently FZH is, in my opinion, the best shooter on PSVR while overall, FZH is a solid realistic shooter that is made better through VR and should only improve over time.

The gameplay itself is what sets this game apart. Like Rainbow Sic Siege, you choose an operator and take out the bad guys. Like any other online game, the community is who you're primarily up against. While we don't currently know what the size of the community is, it is far friendlier and more team oriented than the likes of Battlefield or COD. Pop into a lobby and you're usually met with at least 2 out of 3 teammates that are utilizing the PSVR's built in microphone to actually communicate, strategize, and ultimately have fun. So far in the roughly 25-30 hours I have into the online play, I've only encountered 2 people that were being trolls. Now obviously this experience may vary, but from everyone I've talked to, the online community for this game seems incredibly kind and devoted.
This game would easily be a 10 for me if it weren't for the peer to peer matchmaking, squading issues, and in game voice chat cutting out during loading screens (or at least an easier way to access your squad mates profiles for partying up in an outside party chat). But those are very minor gripes compared to the incredible amount of fun to be had here. Find a squad of players that all talk and communicate effectively, and you can usually stay in the same lobby for hours with very few people dropping in or out. The experience delivered here is top notch, and hopefully as soon as First Contact gets the minor issues sorted out and perhaps some dedicated servers- we could potentially have a true juggernaut on our hands. Only time will tell if a large enough community forms to keep the online experience going for the foreseeable future, but if enough people take a chance on it, it'll be an awful lot of fun for all of us PSVR fps fans for quite some time to come.

I created an account to review this game. It really has lived up to what I hoped it would be. Everything about it feels great, the mechanics are spot on. People moaning about the nipple aim, me and my mates don't even notice it at all. The only thing it could improve on is make it best of three rounds, but I'm sure they will patch that. This is worth buying a Vr for.

However it slows down the game so much and considering it takes about 4-5 minutes to start a game it can be over in 2-3 minutes then you have wait again which can be annoying.

If this game had a simple team death match tacked on, 10 minutes with respawns, I could see myself giving this game an 8/10 instead of a 7. Due to this fact I cannot give it any higher because I believe it was such a poor decision to only include one game type and quite frankly it isn't even the most popular online shooter game mode.

The graphics can also be quite hazey too.

The wait is over and now after spending a whole night playing (and morning/afternoon) this game and fiddling with everything it has to offer, here is my short review:

    Graphics:
This game looks amazing, it really shows that devs took their time to make it look as good as possible on both PS4 pro and OG (yes, it does look great on OG too!)

    Audio:
Easily one of my favorite features of the game, it does makes you feel totally immersed, 3D audio really is spot on and it makes you feel like you really are in the middle of a very tense conflict!

    Gameplay:
Superb. It really is very well crafted, this is not your “Rambo” kind of game where you can just charge like a super soldier, you NEED to work as a team (this is the core of the game) and communicate as such, move as one and strike with precision, fortunately the game DOES live up to the expectations and every time I got killed it never felt like it was because of bad game design of but because I messed up, the game can be played with both DS4 and AIM but the AIM makes this a whole different experience, it feels perfect and responds perfect too, you can aim down the sights and just basically handle it as you normally would a weapon in real life. Rounds are fast but while playing feel longer than what they actually are because they are so intense! And once you’re killed is not over for you, you can still help your remaining teammates by using surveillance cameras and providing advice on enemy’s locations. I never had any issues playing online with lag and such and there are plenty of unlockables and customization to keep you busy and coming for more. As of right now there is only one mode (defend a laptop or attack the defending team and hack the laptop) but I’m sure the devs will keep adding to the game.

    Motion sickness:
I had none, and this is because fortunately the devs made a great job of offering plenty of comfort options, you can basically adjust the game to your liking.

    Tracking:
Spot on, the Aim responds perfectly and you can easily play this standing up or sitting down, no drifting at all.

    Overall value:
Lots. This is a very polished game, every little detail has been carefully crafted into a very high-quality product that you won’t regret purchasing, and this is coming from someone who dislikes online games, and first-person shooters!

    + Amazing visuals and audio
    + Immersive addicting gameplay
    + Very social
    - Lack of modes (as of right now)
-/+ Takes some time to unlock things

Firewall Zero Hour is the beginning of something truly great, from the moment you boot it up you can tell the devs really put love into making this game, this is not some cash grab game plagued with microtransactions, day one DLC, season passes and such, in fact everything is bought with in game currency that you get for, you guessed it, playing the game. If you’re on the fence, don’t be, for $80 you can get a sweet bundle that contains both the game AND the the AIM controller that you can use for other gems like Farpoint, so you can’t go wrong. PSVR owners rejoice, this is indeed a system seller.

Firewall Zero Hour needs more support from a pretty large community of PSVR owners. It's understandable that it may not be everyone's choice of gameplay. With dozens of small quirky titles and some fully fledged AAA games that don't rely on interpersonal competitiveness, some players may choose to pass on this shooter. It's way too early to tell if the game will take off and garner the praise and community that it arguably deserves. Firewall Zero Hour is a dream for any shooter fan.
