Jul 21, 2018This DLC is quite good but a little bit repetitive. When you play in survival mode the DLC plays a lot better and is much more challenging. Unfortunately the developpers gave away a lot of potential and they could have easily make this DLC a lot better.

Apr 10, 2020This DLC was mediocre. I didn’t enjoy the stealth aspect, although I understand it. The “story” was also wack but I get it.

Jul 16, 2018This is a total rip-off, this dlc is way, way too short. I had fun going around in the jungle killing the enemy soldiers guerilla-style for some time, but I was really disappointed when I realized how small the map was.

Aug 14, 2019Hours of Darkness barely adds anything to Far Cry 5, save for a jungle setting. The really isn't a story, just a rescue mission and a big battle at the end. (Which had only a slight challenge)
Honestly, it doesn't even scratch that itch to play a good game in a Vietnam War setting. -

Jun 21, 2020Way too short and therefore not the DLC I hoped for. Still more enjoyable than Far Cry 5 though.

Aug 26, 2022Vietnam was a great setting for a Far Cry game. Hopefully it's something they'll expand on in the future.

Jul 12, 2018This first DLC for Far Cry 5 never really delivers. It is a short and very generic experience that forgets that Far Cry is able to please us and make us forget some flaws by counting not only on its setting but also on its story and characters. And nothing that could help us feel involved is here. It's just a short and uninspired DLC with some forgettable mechanics.

Jul 5, 2018Despite some good moments, Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness hasn't a single new idea to offer. It gives you what you’re expecting from a shooter set during the Vietnam War, but nothing very exciting.

Jun 10, 2018A visually attractive, if uninspiring take on the Vietnam War, Hours of Darkness feels little more than a re-skinned Far Cry 5 rather than something more ambitious.
