This is a special game that I am just having a blast with and I haven't even gone online yet. I have 8 hours into the SP and it's so fun! I know everyone is up in arms over DLC. I think it's very important everyone understands this is the way the industry operates. There is nothing you can do to stop this. Just speak with your wallet and do not buy the DLC if it's a problem for you. There will always be the rich family or well off gamer that will buy the DLC. It's never going to stop so let's just move on.

The game itself is very well done and polished. It's great to get Evolve and The Order 1886 in the same week and them completely solid without bugs compared to other games in this current generation. I have heard that there are some issues with the online community so my son and I have just been playing the SP. I will give MP a try later on after I have completely mastered all the hunters, monsters and maps. That will eliminate the not so friendly gamers from ruining my online experience.

We just unlocked the Kraken and are going for the Support robot hunter named Bucket. He looks amazing and has the flying sentries that we are very interested in. Really had a nice gaming moment playing as the support hunter. Val was getting destroyed I shot her with my shield projector saving her. The Wraith was going crazy on her but she was protected and lived through it. I am really enjoying the leveling/unlock process as it give you something to work for.

The graphics are very good, not The Order 1886 good but I am very pleased with them. The mechanics and game play are obvously from a stellar studio that's been round the block. The game is very balanced and technically sound. It's really fun following Daisy to the monster and trying to use the hunters abilities to take the monster down. The Trapper has been great using the orbital bombardment, shield projector and the cloak. There is a lot of strategy that is in play here. Following Daisy and then when you feel you are close cloaking the team and then trying use the orbital bombardment!

The monsters are very well done and easy to control. There is some amazing game play options with the monster. Evolving is really fun and allows you to become very powerful. Lots of options for wild life and with all the new maps and mode being offered free there is nothing to complain about. Turtle Rock has done it again. Now we just need to get them to make L4D3! Hopefully more people pick this game up as it deserves the sales.

I'd rate this game a 9 but gave it a 10 because of all the fake hate reviews from people who have obviously not played the game. Let me start off by going over what others have said.

I'd rate this game a 9 but gave it a 10 because of all the fake hate reviews from people who have obviously not played the game. Let me start off by going over what others have said.

    - "There's no variation, the DLC practices are an abomination and there's not enough content." --- Wow, this must be someone who only played the beta and read what others said about the DLC. There are multiple modes to this game. Besides playing online with others or solo with the bots, you have multiple modes like Rescue, Nest, Defend, and Hunt. You can play each individually across all the maps (Defend has it's own four maps), or in Extraction where you play across five game days (matches) where maps, modes, and bonuses are never the same. I don't need to go into detail because you can find details on all this on IGN, Gamespot, or any other gaming site.

The DLC is just skins. You are not buying new weapons or characters for the game. You get three boss monsters and twelve hunters with a lot of variety. I unlocked all the hunters over a couple of days and am working to level them up and unlock more perks. I love having all the choices, depending on what mode I'm playing. I also like each class is different and how you have to work together. You have your Support, Medic, Assault, and Trapper classes. It's more like Battlefield 4 than Left 4 Dead with how the classes work. The three monsters are very different too. You have to use different tactics against each monster. When fighting as the monster, you can pick you abilities and level them up based on the mode you are playing.

With the 12 maps, 3 Monsters, 12 hunters, multiple modes, and random bonuses in Extraction, the game always feels different. Again, you can get better at playing the game by just going up against the bots. They play as well as they did in Left 4 Dead.

    - "You buy the game for 60 dollars and then need to spend even more money to enjoy the game to its fullest" --- Not sure what game you bought for $60 and had to spend more to enjoy it, but it wasn't Evolve. I'm having more than enough fun with this game. I've played all the modes online and with the bots. I have no desire to buy any skins and you are not being forced to buy any of it. Why does everyone keep complaining about it? Remember the horse armor in Oblivion? I bought it because it made my horse look cool. I didn't complain about it because it was optional. Doesn't change the game in any way. Stop all the talk about the DLC.

There is another Monster and four more characters coming out in a few months. The Season Pass is $24.99 and will pay for this content. Do you have to buy it? No! The developer has stated that you will be able to play against the monster in your game and will see the other characters in games. You will just not be able to play them yourself unless you buy them. If you don't buy them, you are not being cut off from all the other players. It's not like COD where someone else buys the maps, but you can't play them now because you don't have the maps. This will not happen with Evolve. They stated that any new maps will be free. Myself, I'm going to get the Season pass when the new content is ready to be released. I'm really enjoying the game.

    - " is a mediocre first person shooter (surprise surprise!) that brings nothing new to the genre" --- Where have you played a game like this before? I really feel like I'm out on a hunting trip in Jurassic Park! I have a blast. Sometimes we get to the monster early and kill it and other times we are hunting until it reaches level 3 and we head it of at the base. I do think they have some balancing to do, but they have already stated that they are working on this. I'm still having a great time with the game. I'm trying to level up each of the hunters now.

    -----------------------------

Take time to read some reviews from sites like IGN or Game Informer. They have been playing the game for some time now and have even had play time with the developers. I'll believe what Ryan McCaffrey says over someone who is just bashing the game because they think there is a DLC issue or not enough content. Looking at most of the user reviews, it looks like people are just trying to bring down the score without even really trying the game.

Read real reviews for more info on the game. That is why I decided to buy it. It is really different from the other games I've played. The graphics are top notch and really put you into that world. With the day one patch, load times are better than they were in the beta. This is one game that is really getting a raw deal from users just looking for something to bash. The more I play it, the more I'm enjoying it. You can't play this like COD or just any other shooter. You need to pick the right hunter for the mode you are playing and monster you are fighting.

(Sorry for any grammar or spelling problems. I just typed this up and didn't proof it. I just want to get home and play more Evolve!)

The game is great, got if for 38$ on PC and runs flawlessly on my now a few year old machine.

DLC...I don't care, it's mostly cosmetic and it does not affect the gameplay. Compared to what other games charge for skins it's pretty comparable in price.

The maps and modes are FREE.

You will never forget playing this game. This is an experience you should not miss. There is no other game that conveys the atmosphere, excitement, and overall gaming experience of Evolve. Don't miss out just because of the weird negative hype - that has nothing to do with the actual game.

Pacing and the transitions from hunt to battle are phenomenal; I love the sense of tracking a giant monster through dark forests or snowy blizzards, intent on the chase but equally fearful that at any moment the beast will turn and ambush the Hunters. Urgency and suspense drive the early gameplay whether as the Hunters trying to track and cut off the monster before it can evolve and become even more dangerous, or as the Monster trying to race ahead, feed, double-back, hide, throw off pursuit knowing that a team of four is hunting you...until you are strong, and whirl, and descend on them like rage and storm.

And then suddenly it is a wild, brutal, and deeply tactical battle for both sides, comboing abilities, intrinsic teamwork abilities, utilizing map and environment advantage (the maps are wonderful and vertical and full of different moments and opportunities), and then perhaps the chase is on again, as either side attempts to flee and disengage and lick their wounds before picking their time and place once more. The transitions from hunt to battle to chase to final stand, however they play out, are always dynamic and interesting and wild fun.

Abilities differ enough between hunter characters to let you find the one that best fits your play style or team composition, while still all reinforcing the basic class role of that character on the team. Monsters fill the classic archetypes of melee, ranged, and stealth to let you pick your favorite brand of mayhem, and each is equally capable of fight or flight in unique ways.

The strategic depth increases the more you play, as you begin to consider better ways to utilize the maps, combo abilities, isolate hunters, or cut off the monster's retreat. Win or lose, every round is fun and exciting. Either team could win at any time.

There is offline solo play with competent bots, big points for that.
There is also a full color instruction manual in the box; this is how you know it was made with true gamer love.

DLC? Guess what? At launch, DLC literally does not exist. Lot of fuss about content that has yet to be made. You can preorder DLC if that's your thing, but stop worrying about whether or not you want DLC, you don't need it. Play the game. There are plenty of characters to choose from and plenty of game, and in the heat of battle and the thrill of the chase, all that matters is that you are either hunter or hunted...and in the end, everyone is both, and that's what makes it fantastic.

There is no other gaming experience like this. And you should absolutely experience it. Ignore the negatively; play the game because gaming is about new and fascinating games, not about whining about marketing. Evolve.

All the negativity scared me a bit at first because this was a game that I was really looking forward to. But I put all the negativity aside and did some research of my own, I also read/viewed various reviews and feedback from people playing the game. I bought the game and I have not regretted my decision for a second. This is one of the games lately that I am truly enjoying, and have been playing non stop for hours. It was a steep learning curve, but when you start to get a grip of the basics you will be rewarded so. I have come to a stage with games where i love real challenges and not a game that I understand the minute I start to play.

This game is not something you will master over the first days of playing, this game is different every time you play, and you learn new things every time. You will experience unique situations that will only happen once. It is a dynamic game that has a lot of potential to be a game that will last for decades. But you need to be prepared to have an open mind to learn on your way and adapt to the every new challenges the games give you.

    - IT DOSEN'T GET OLD! I play it for 20 hours now. And i don't played with all characters yet. Because i want to master every class and character. I think every pick is worth at least 20 hours to play with, to know which is the best way to win the match.

    - Every match is different! For example, playing as a monster, you are constantly under pressure. Sometimes they find you in seconds, sometimes you can escape fast, somtimes you have to hide or be aggressive and so on. Do you kill the Medic first or do you kill the Trapper to escape from the dome? Do you kill the hunters or do you destroy the relais?

    - You have much Value. Other games like the Order have 6 hours of gameplay for 60 Bucks. This Game has no real campaign. Thats right and I love campaigns but this game was never meant to be a singleplayer game. What about Titanfall, or Plants vs Zombies GW. But thats okay. They are perfect for what they where build. And when you know this and you like to play a really deep multiplayergame, than youre right on this one.

    - YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY FOR DLCs TO PLAY THIS GAME! I preordered it and pay 47€ for the Copy and the DLC Monster plus Skins. I don't know what people talk about the price. Do you ever think about how much you pay when you buy all the elder scrolls DLCs, or Gears of War or Call of Duty and so on? You don't have to pay them. The most DLCs are cosmetic. You can also play with people who pay for the extra Monster. This is a problem in other Shooters, but not in Evolve!

I really wish they make an another evolve in 2 years!

Excellent game that gets better the more you play it. At First Monsters feel like a great feat to take down, but group up with a well coordinated team and its fun and challenging. Its not skill like Call of Duty, its skill as in tactics, timing, and communication that make this a superior shooter game. Best part is if you feel like going solo you can still have just as much fun as the monster.

As far as the dlc drama goes, the expansion monsters and hunters are not necessary at all since TRS makes sure everything is balanced to a 50% win rate. The prices are the same you'd pay for a map pack in other games only this time, a monster or a hunter changes the gameplay way more than a lousy map pack would and are worth it, but again not necessary. Also, all new maps and modes will be free as the dev has taking great care to ensuring the commmunity stays unfragmented.

Going back to the game, once you cut through the lies fed by this angry internet mob, TRS is incredibly open about this amazing game that I have no doubt will keep me entertain for a long long time. I very much enjoy the gameplay of Evolve, with it's cat and mouse style of asymmetrical game-play where four players play FPS style hunters and one player plays a videogame boss type monster. Many criticize the game for lack of content, but I think it's better to have a small amount of very well balanced weapons/characters than many overpowered and useless additions to a game.

For anyone new and unfamiliar and looking for the be-all-end-all review, here it is. There's also an explanation of this dlc controversy.

GAMEPLAY: You have a team of four hunters, well... hunting a monster! You can choose to be either a medic, assault, trapper (who tracks and traps the monster), and support. Or for lone wolves, you can be the monster. This division is pretty great because teamwork is important in winning as hunters, but if you're a lone wolf type you can play as a monster. There are 12 hunters to choose from, 3 from each class, along with 3 monsters. No monster or hunter is better than the others, they're all balanced and will continue to be balanced to a 50% win rate. Not only this, the maps are filled with wildlife that may try to kill you. The monster has to eat animals to get stronger, while the hunters have to try and kill it before it gets too strong. In the beginning of a typical 15 minute game, the hunters are stronger and the monster is stage 1 and has to run and hide until he gets stronger. Towards the middle, the monster is probably up to stage 2 and is now about even with the hunters. Stage 3 monsters are very hard to take down. It's a game of strategy, hunting, and ambushes! There are other objectives on the map and game modes as well that I haven't even scratched the surface of what you can do.

GRAPHICS AND SOUND: It's one of the most beautiful next gen games. There is no Ps3 or Xbox 360 version so they really had the opportunity to push the graphics. You need to use your ears as a hunter to find the monster, so the sound is suitably awesome and detailed with wildlife, guns, and environmental sounds.

MULTIPLAYER AND SINGLEPLAYER: The online matchmaking has improved greatly since the alpha and beta builds. This is no Halo MCC! It works great and only gets better with only a few launch hiccups that should pass. If you're a single player, there is no story mode since they didn't go the Battlefield or COD approach and tack on a shallow story mode. BUT! You can play every mode, map, monster and hunter that you have with Bots! And boy are these bots smart. So if you're ever out of internet, fire the bots up and keep playing! Oh btw, teamwork is always extremely important for hunter survival!

LONGEVITY: Most shooting games out there right now end up with you using your same favorite gun running around on the same few maps. More maps never really change much. But in Evolve, there is, in my opinion coming from the PC game Natural Selection 2 which is kinda like this, infinite replayability in hunting or being hunted. The characters are so diverse with different abilities and strategies to them that hunting human beings, ambushing them, and attacking them will always be fresh for you.

DLC Controversy: Gamers are a strange bunch. We churn out $15 or more for COD maps and Battlefield Premium, season passes galore for every game. But suddenly people have a problem paying money for Evolve DLC. Let's get some facts straight down here:

    1. No day 1 DLC. Nothing is locked on the disk, since the new characters haven't even been fully made yet. All future maps and modes will be free so as not to fragment the community
    2. No future hunters or monsters are necessary to buy, they will not be stronger or better than what you have. They'll be balanced just like the rest.
    3. Future monsters and hunters, if you don't get a bundle which you always should, will cost $15 per monster or $7.50 for hunters. A whole new balanced, animated, voiced, character for the price of a map pack? I'm in!
    4. Yea you can buy skins. I like skins. You don't? Then don't buy them. Simple!

In my opinion, new monsters and hunters drastically change the gameplay far more than the map packs we buy for other games. I bought all the BF4 maps with Premium and that cost me almost $50! Paying for a new monster or hunter that completely changes the gameplay is worth much more than DLC in other games. And heck maps are free and if you don't buy these new characters, you'll still get to play against them! There is no community fragmentation. You don't need to buy them to be successful at all.

What gamers did was basically attack a perfectly good game because the hate DLC. Even though DLC is in every game now. Why did they have to attack such a unique game as Evolve that tries to break new ground? Because gamers are full of misinformation and too much emotion. This is the same reason that they can barely make any headway against greedy publishers. Attack Evolve, but continue to buy yearly bug ridden COD or Assassins creed along with all the DLC. Smart!

If you need more info, go to the TRS official forums. The devs have been open and involved with everything and have been extremely responsive since they first announced the game. If you're confused or still undecided, go there rather than be exposed to the misinformation campaign by some gamers giving Evolve bad reviews. Do yourself a favor and buy this amazing experience

Anyways on to my review.

Now To start, the detail is amazing. The shadows and lighting blend perfect. The detail they put into the monsters is truly a gaming marvel. The game play is even better. Taking what a lot of the haters here are complaining about, you have to be on a competent team in order to be successful. If your on a team of hunters and your Medic or your Trapper are screwing off or are inexperienced, you will have a tough time. But if you have friends, or are just smart about how you matchmake (Don't get stuck with a bunch of noobs, obviously.) you'll be just fine. On to the monster.. This can be a bit frustrating.. But overall my experience with the monster has been positive. If you can just get down a good mix of stealth and forging for wildlife to evolve it can be fun, but get cornered early and your toast.

All in all, Evolve is a perfect 10. Its an original concept, there is plenty of buffs and characters/monsters to unlock to keep you busy for 50+ hours which in my opinion is worthy of my $65.

The gameplay is fast an refreshing, the atmosphere is great and you actually get paranoid playing as monster (same for hunters when monster reaches stage 3). The variety is great, just compare it to LoL, even if may seems repetitively. Every game feels different and that's great. The only argueable point is the dlc system. Buying skins is ok and it doesn't affect the gameplay. The only thing that bothers me are the new monsters and hunters coming in the future and that you aren't able to unlock them unless you pay for them. Why isn't there some kind of ingame currency for buying them with "playtime"?

Nonetheless EVOLVE is great game and you can enjoy it even more with friends. It's super fun to play and the asymetric gameplay is quite refreshing. I would rate it a 8.5 but because of all the **** reviews of people not giving it a real try I'll give a 10.

El juego es muy bueno, sobre todo para jugar con amigos. No entiendo su política de dlc's ya que podían incluirlos pero yo creo que ponerle un 0 al juego es pasarse

A new franchise into a genre that is frankly becoming a little stale. I have been gaming for a good 15 years, and to get to experience something fresh and masterful at what it is, is a real treat.

    -- GAMEPLAY--

4 vs 1. 4 human controlled classes with each class having three unlockable characters that all differ in playstyle dramatically. We have the standard 'assault', damage dealer with a personal shield. 'Medic', healer and integral to your groups survivorbility, a smart medic player is essential to a groups success. 'Support', beams a laser like shield on other team mates providing armour, or litters the battlefield with gun turrents that ravage the monster. Lastly the 'trapper', in my opinion the most important team member in the early stages when the player is able to smartly "dome" the monster and litter the ground with harpoons so the group can deal that all so important early damage.
    MONSTERS UNITE
We have three playable monsters at the outset, all differ in playstyles and all posses an arsenal that match the early overwhelming odds.
Goliath - Savage melee and a hefty armour pool give this guy and edge in the later game stages, but early on in the games progression he is extremley vunerable to damage
Kraken - More of a long range beast, who can also take to the skies and rain down electrified damage. A smart Kraken player is near impossible to stop in the later stages.
Wraith - The delicate deadly flower of the bunch. Armed with a low armour and health pool compared to her comrades, she is much more tempered to the more cunning of moster players. Fantastic melee options and abilities like abduction reward a clever player and provide some of the best thrills in gaming,

    Graphics and sound
CRISP - Everything graphically in the game is well thought out and detailed, from the lockers in your **** to the lilypads that float in water in the ridgelines. Characters burst on screen with pop that each individually belongs to them.
Sound design is essentially one of the games strongest elements. From the sounds of birds being disturbed, tree's cracking and getting knocked over, weapons firing, Monster evolving and letting out a guttural roar, everything is in place and expertley delivered.

    Replayability
AND NOTHING WAS THE SAME. This game is riddled so deeply with strategy that its a little confronting. What's your monster play at the begining of a match? Do you simply burst and try to get enough space in between the hunters and yourself leaving your tracks for all to see ? Do you feint going one direction whilst crawling back over your tracks and going the other.
Hunters are no exception either, does the group splinter off into two's to cover more ground, do i pick ceratin characters that have different skill sets to support the group? The monster has just turned stage 3, do we try to seek them out whilst they have no armour, or head to the power relay and prepare as best as possible, laying mines and placing turrets.

Thats the true beauty to Evolve, and the reason this game is already near and dear to my heart. Come into this game with an open mind for a different experience, and an understanding that it plays most differently to others and requires understanding and adaptability on the players behalf, and you will not regret it.

Great Game if you are into Coop and group PvP. Try out Evacuation Mode if you get bored with regular matches. Ty out "individual" with a buddy if you want to make it even more lasting, editing the maps at your wims. Or even play solo.

To all the cry babies in regard to DLC - the season pass could have been added separately and each and everyone wouldn't have cried as much as they do

Aside from the ingame (purely cosmetic) shop, the prices are the same as with every other game. Take Borderlands e.g. - main game + season pass = same results (or near).

Here's my review of evolve after about 10 hours or so playing:

First, my score is 8/10, but like others, I wish to balance out the odd ratings this game is getting.

First off, the monster is everything I hoped it would be. You start off weak, and stealth is the name of the game. I didn't really truly appreciate how to play a monster until I played a hunter and saw just how they track the beast. Sneak past the birds (so you don't scare them and give away your position) and make sure you keep your distance as you feed. It's a real rush if the hunters corner you while you're still at evolve level one because, unless you're very good, you aren't going to survive a straight up brawl with them. I lost several matches as the monster initially because I hadn't figured out the balance between stealth, distance and when to strike. Of course, one way to offset this initial weakness is putting 3 points into a single skill in the beginning to give yourself a bit of oomph if you DO get into some trouble. You definitely feel the power as you evolve. By the time you hit level 3, you feel like you're some sort of Kaiju superbeast.

Speaking of evolving up: If you play as the monster, you're given 3 skill points to divide into 4 skills. Each time you evolve you're given an addition 3 points to put into these skills. In order to unlock perks and other monsters, you need to fulfill certain skill requirements. For example, in order to unlock the next monster, the Kraken, I had to do X amount of damage with Flame breath, charge, smash and rock throw over the course of several matches. It actually didn't take that long and I expected far worse. The controls, at least on the PS4 seem fluid and combat is pretty easy to control. I guess my only gripe is that I wish you could climb up cliffs that serve as the "wall" of the level because sometimes as I was running for my life, i tried to climb up a cliff that I thought was climbable only smack into it Wile E. Coyote style---but this is a minor gripe.

The monsters play quite differently as well. I only have 2 of the 3 unlocked, but there definitely is a big difference between say, the Goliath and the Kraken. With the Goliath, I feel like I'm probably as close as I'm going to get to playing a Tyranid Carnifex or an Ultralisk. You're beefy, you pack a punch and little is as satisfying as charging through a group of hapless hunters and then throwing a rock on them. The Kraken on the other hand can fly, is great at escaping and does insane amounts of AOE damage. I'm not sure which one I like better at this point--I switch out between them.

All that being said, playing as the hunters is a bit of a yawn for me. While there are certain aspects that I like--the tracking is pretty cool. You can follow monster footsteps, you get alerted to carrion birds to help track the monster's position and the actual fighting with the monster is intense, but it just doesn't live up the amount of fun that I have playing the monster itself. I do get the feeling that playing with friends as the hunters is probably a **** ton of fun, because teamwork is everything. I just played a game where I nearly took out the team as a level one monster because they were morons and split up. I've won the last 5 matches as a monster without evolving past level 2 (which sets you even with the hunters in terms of power--level 3 is where you start exceeding what they can do) because of the lack of coordination between hunters. That being said, I expect that to get better once people have a bit more play time with the game.

Is it worth $60? Eh, hard to say. Maybe? I'll probably side on the "no" side, but I'm not going to deny that the game, at least the as the monster delivers on the fun. If I didn't have to study, I'd spend the rest of the day playing it. The DLC now is pretty much all cosmetic and really shouldn't detract you from buying the game.

TLDR: 8/10 for fantastic monster combat, playing as hunters is a bit "meh"

I never write reviews but for this game I have to. It is NOT pay to win, unless you think skins and bonus characters under the season pass is "Pay to Win" I don't see how a skin can make you win. The other option for them is to probably delay it another month. Most games have a day one patch, this isn't anything new. There is a story, it has a 5 day campaign with 800,000 possible outcomes of bonus effects and game modes so in that there are 800,000 campaigns. Each monster is completely different and unique, has strengths and weaknesses. Each hunter feels badass in it's own way.

All in all, all the haters out there complaining about DLC and "Pay to Win" have not even played the game and are full of crap. The hype train is real my friends and they are just jealous!

No other game offers the feel of Evolve, and the more that you play the deeper and more rewarding the experience gets. 60 dollars is a heckuva price tag, but unlike other AAA titles (all of which are getting more expensive now) Evolve does something new, and it does it well. Good games have a great sense of rising and falling action, often including four or five different skirmishes before the final fight happens - but there's always the lingering threat that if you are not on top of your game, one side or the other will end the game immediately. It's the best multiplayer game I've played in a decade. Expand

After putting 20+ hours into the game I can honestly say it's amazing. For some reason people have made it their crusade to burn this game at the stake, but have they even put in the time to realize what these developers have made? First, the entire game is something extremely new and innovative! With that alone I believe it deserves to be respected by the community. And much like all the nay sayers out there I was very upset over the entire DLC scandal but I still wanted to give it a chance. The fact that the user score is a 4.4 really upsets me because I know someone who was on the fence about purchasing the product would shy away after seeing these reviews, except this game is AMAZING!! I have never written a review or posted a comment anywhere on the internet, but Evolve has been getting such a bad wrap I know I need to defend it, especially after having such an amazing time playing. Like I mentioned before it is so innovative and fresh!! That's what caught me first! Then the depth really pulled me in. Even though there are only 3 characters in every class, everyone plays extremely different especially depending on the rest of team. Add in HUGE maps with living environments filled with man eating plants and packs of savage alien wolves and you get an experience like no other. People can whine all they want to about DLC and unfortunately we live in a world driven by the dollar, but I defend the fact that Evolve is sold for $60. By no means should it be free to play, especially when you consider the team of developers that put in an insane amount of their time to produce such a fantastic polished product. The game is perfectly balanced and the servers worked great on day one and some people find it ok to give the game a 2. A freakin 2!!! The insensitivity and ignorance! Play the game! Sink your teeth into it! I can barely find the time to write this review because I don't want to stop playing! With all that said, if you're looking for a fresh new experience in a genre that is so overdone in the wrong way with an immersive tactical combat system and one of the best multiplayer experiences the new generation of systems has to offer buy evolve now! If you refuse to purchase games that offer DLC and let that hinder you from experiencing something new and awesome or want to jump on the bandwagon of witch hunters ready to burn something at the stake feel free to read the rest of the reviews and believe them. With all that being said I wholly believe Evolve will remain one of my favorite games of all time for years to come with or without DLC and should be tried by everyone. Expand
