The Bozak Horde isn't very long and doesn't bring over any of the highlights from the base game apart from the traversal and combat. It is still interesting and fun for anyone who want's a set of arena style challenges you can complete with friends, but otherwise there's not much to make this DLC stand out.

The Bozak Horde isn't very large and doesn't offer any of the fascinating storytelling flourishes of the main game, but it's fresh and creative, with the developers doing a great job of showcasing their mastery of traversal and combat construction. Anyone who enjoyed Dying Light will find this a satisfying diversion for at least a few hours while waiting for the dune buggies coming down the line.

The Bozak Horde is Dying Light's dalliance into the efficiency of combat and movement. The peculiar tightness at which it operates may be a boon to mechanic-obsessives and speed runners, but it simultaneously precludes other venues of appreciation.

The Bozak Horde is a fine endeavour by Techland. Not going with the safe, bonus missions DLC again, they decided to branch out and give you a whole different way to experience Dying Light. Unfortunately, a new way to play isn’t always enough. The lack of storyline to it left me wanting more and the timed trials eventually became more of a ‘how well did I memorize each level’ instead of how skilled I was with a machete while performing intricate parkour.
