    Drowning tells a deeply personal story about depression. There are multiple endings for you to unlock and there are plenty of beautiful environments to admire accompanied by fantastic music. The major drawback is that Drowning -like many games in the walking simulator genre- is completely devoid of any other interaction with the world around you besides walking.

    I respect the developer for what he has done in creating a game to help heal himself. I identify far more than I ever could have expected; Drowning seems to take my thoughts and put them right into the character's head. It's eerie. Accurate. Emotional. Unfortunately, it's also poorly planned, poorly placed, and in some parts, questionably written. There are also graphic choices that remove you from the immersion in emotion that I expected while playing, and sadly, the decent narrative doesn't make up for these glaring issues.

    Its a nice sweet game that leaves yo with a good feeling
    But theres not much to see or do.. its jsut walking forward and reading for 45 min

    This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. The highest score I can give is 6 (4 for the game itself plus 2 for the effort). The game-play is too much simple: you walk, find hidden little secrets, see the end(s) and you feel for a brief time the sentiments of the character. But even the beauty can be found in the simplest of things.… Full Review »
