Probably one of if not the best game of 2015. The game play mechanics were good although they can get repetitive. i recommend playing the demo first before buying, as the 40$ price tag is pretty hefty for a game like this. Has smooth controls and can defiantly become as competitive game, possibly the next one featured at EVO.

As I gamer in their 30's I was absolutely thrilled at receiving Kung Fu Panda for free in December 2017! I mean who doesn't want a cheap movie tie in from a film from 2008?
As you can imagine I installed this straight away and have been playing it since. Thank you so much Sony! You've made my Christmas extra special this year!

avete presente super smash bros in tutta la sua bellezza? Ecco, prendete le sue basi, ma proprio solo la base del concept, quello è kong fu panda per ps4.
Ah, ed è fatto male, coi piedi. Disgustato.

Showdown of Legendary Legends is a smash bros inspired brawler that can be played either local or online with up to 4 players
    However this isn’t much here…
Theres a typical verses mode, an online mode, and the tournament of legends mode…
Tournament of legends is the meat of this game…
It’s a mode where you choose one of this games 20 characters, choose a difficulty, and battle your way through a variety of 10 different matches to win the tournament of legends…
The variety here in the modes is nice…
It stops the tournament from getting boring as fast as it otherwise would..
But ultimately it doesn’t help this game feel the least bit of fun…
Youll be going through 2 on 2 matches, 2 on 1, 3 on 1, 4v4, 1v1, youll be playing king of the hill type matches all on the games 12 different stages…
Thankfully stages do have a bit of personality to them…
Not as much as smash bros.. but its there
They all feel unique and require different play styles…
and each characters thankfully feels unique here as well..
This is the only thing it does better than a game like brawlhalla for example.. is that each character feels different…
they have a different weight to them and a different set of moves…
Though for better or for worse, the control scheme here is insanely simple..
You have a normal attack that you can charge and a special attack… that’s it..
characters can also block and dodge, but youll mostly just be looking for the characters whos special attack and normal attack you like best…
and some of them are easily spammable…
throughout the matches there are pick ups to call in characters to help you knock opponents off the map, as well as weapons to do the same and health pickups to help you not be knocked around so easy…
And as the match goes on and you do damage youll be able to fill up an awesome meter and pull off an awesome move, which is almost for most characters a guaranteed ko…
    but that’s it.. that’s the game…
this is a very mediocre brawler..
The game functions, the online feels smooth… but because everything is so simple, matches ultimately feel button mashy rather than strategic, hectic, or fun.
if you don’t have a character with spammable moves, youre basically just seeing who gets the luckiest hits, who can take the least amount of damage or who can get to pickups first..
I give Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends
    a 5/10

The game is really mediocre, and it is not as easy it you may think it would be. It can be enjoyed if you are a really big kung fu panda fan, otherwise...stay away

This game might be the most fun game ever. Playing this with friends is one of the most fun gaming experiences I have ever had. Fun characters, easy to master move sets and overall a fun smash copy for the ps4. 10/10 Holy sh*t award!

A serviceable but extremely basic Smash Bros clone. Feels like someone's graduation project at school, except it has zero new ideas. It's a fighting game, reduced to kick and punch and dashes and jumps... no combos to learn, no depth to the gameplay. Online is just random matchmaking, and basically just a stage select screen, a character select screen, and the 'brawls'.

While the core gameplay is sliiightly entertaining and pleasant, it's insulting that they tried to sell it as a valuable (60$?) experience. It should have been a weekend project with bad graphics, made available for free, with a richer online experience (for example statistics page, a yearly tournament with winner and in-game prize, the ability to team up with a friend, etc).

    It's... A movie-tie-in.

Surprisingly fun to play. I mean yeah, it's just another Smash Bros clone with a different skin on it and is not quite as good, but it was better than I was expecting. You don't even have to like Kung Fu Panda to get some sort of enjoyment out of this game (It would help though). Not worth full price, but it is a little fun to play if you get a chance to play it.

This is without a doubt the best smash copy you can get on the ps4. Great graphics, fun and easy to learn gameplay and a great game to play with your friends. I need a sequal to this masterpiece!

Po and the rest of the cast might be interesting initially, but those who love the genre in itself probably already have access to a Wii U and Super Smash Bros, with its larger cast and more polished core mechanics.

Kung Fu Panda Showdown of Legendary Legends is a decent clone of Super Smash Bros., but it is poor of offline content and you can't play online because no one is playing that. It could be fun with friends though.

It's a weak brawler game, that tries desperately to monetize on the Kung Fu Panda license, but does so in a very lazy fashion.
