    An interesting Mystery
Draugen is a 2 and a half hour long mystery adventure / walking simulator game where you play as Edward accompanied by Alice - who finds himself on a small norweigen island in search of his sister betty, and.. this game is.. quite interesting… this is a head scratcher.. im still not sure what to entirely make of this game… youre invited to stay at someones home only for you boat to end up missing and you to find.. that well, theres no one home… not at any home… that right this is a creepy abandoned island and its up to you to search for clues to understand exactly what happened here all while trying to find betty… though this is no Sherlock holmes game… there is a heavy narrative focus here, so the mystery Is kind of spoon fed to you, the geame is broken up into different days, and the game doesa great job of letting you know where you need to go to to investigate each day.. it isn’t a bunch of running around trying to find things… and your companion is along side you to basically give you a hot on cold… and for the most part her help feels natural.. you don’t feel like youre the only one trying to figure things out, which is a nice change.. but at the end of the day.. Draugens story is quite confusing.. not only that it drags on.. while youre playing you feel as though youre playing a lot longer than 2 and a half hrs… not much excitement here…. Confused and bored.. this is how a I felt most of my time playing draugen.. that’s not to say I regret spending time with this game… the story was intriguing and did push me forward… as well of the mystery of this island.. trying to figure out what happened to everyone… but don’t expect to do much exploration… this experience is very on rails despite it giving you the illusion you have any freedom to explore and do as you please.. you kinda do.. but not really…
youre free to run around the yard, but youre still on a fairly short leash…
Draugen is a very different game, if youre into narrative based walking simulators, ts different enough to justify a playthrough.. if youre not really itno these types of games then .. eh, youre not missing much
    I give Draugen
    a 6.5/10

3-4 Stunden vielleicht.

It’s really hard to enjoy Draugen when it all feels like it’s a collection of nods to other, better games. A game shouldn’t make you want to play other games, yet most of the time I spent with Draugen I was wondering about whether it was too soon to go back and play Gone Home or What Remains of Edith Finch. If you’ve never played those before, this won’t seem nearly as derivative — but that’s more an argument for playing those other games than it is for playing Draugen.

A haunted walk through beautiful Norwegian countryside. Come for the mystery, stay for the chat, leave with more questions than you bargained for. [Issue#173, p.88]

Draugen might only last a few hours, but it leaves a lasting impression as you're drawn into the mystery of Graavik and the relationship between Edward and Alice. It can be a little overacted and you can see some story beats coming, but as a first person adventure title it is an enjoyable experience.
