    This is the most beautiful Dragon Ball Z game I've ever played hands down. Brutal honesty here, this isn't technically "Open world" BUT!....DO NOT LET THAT FOOL YOU. This game's zones are absolutely gigantic. Beautiful voice acting, visuals are true to the anime, free roaming is just...ADDICTING. I spent 2 hours just flying around at level 3 with piccolo.     I wanted to like this game, but I found myself falling asleep between fight/cut scenes. Very, very slow starting the information is not that complicated to warrant the slow approach to the simplistic controls. I just feel it’s too late in the franchise for this, the retelling of the same story yet again for the 24th time. I know this content too well to be exited for what comes next. The gameplay is fun, if only there was more fighting. The enemies in the open world hardly put up more then 50 seconds of fight, and that’s being generous. That coupled with the main fights being easier than they should be just kills the small uplifting moment before the droning storyline, single sentence button tapping dialogue advancement continues. Having an open world, world map and an odd skill tree doesn’t constitute the RPG tag line here.
    Insanely let down. This was marketed as something it clearly is not.
    But hey, if you’re just getting into DBZ this game will fill you in on it’s long, long past, which is worth it for new comers.    … Expand

    This game is basically a childhood dream fulfilled. Free roaming and flying around the world of Dragon Ball with lots of different characters. Combat is fun and flashy, like a better version of Xenoverse. The game looks great and the controls are good. Best Dragon Ball game so far!

    It’s a beautiful Dragon Ball Z game! Such a great nostalgia trip for any fan. The fighting part is great, fun and challenging. It’s a different game... while not perfect it’s a dream game for someone that has loved dragon ball for decades

    The Encyclopedia along with the Soul emblems left me mind-blown. The Menu graphics, the orchestra, the classic DBZ memorabilia, just WOW.    Absolutely BEAUTIFUL GAME. The amount of detail and nostalgia DBZ Kakarot has is simply superb. From the interactions, to the music.     Unbalanced combats, some are very easy, others very hard, to the point to have to retry several times. You can buy items to make it easier(HP recover) but for that, you must spend time farming.     Graphics: bright and beautiful, character models look good as do environments. they might not blow you away but there's definitely a lot of detail and effort put in here.

    Audio: Classic soundtrack and original cast voices what else would a DBZ fan want?

    Gameplay: Although quite a bit of fighting takes place, being an rpg there are lots of other things to do which will make any DBZ fan smile, Anyone who has played previous Cyberconnect2 games will know how much content some of their games have. The fighting feels good and pretty satisfying and levelling up character moves etc is enjoyable. I had fun just wondering around each area exploring and seeing how much effort went in to each place you'd see in the anime or manga.

    The only reason I haven't given a 10 is because I believe there's always room for improvement.. but being a huge dragon ball fan this has definitely fulfilled everything I would want from a game. What dragon ball fan wouldn't want to step into Gokus, and other characters boots and explore the vast world of DragonBall Kakarot.

I think that it could definitely be a good point of introduction to this type of game and to the dragon ball franchise for beginners.

    Nostalgic story, good and easy fighting controls, the graphics are not bad and the exploration is okay, what make me sad is the fact that the game doesn't have Portuguese subtitles here in portugal. It's not a problem for me to play in English. I just prefer my native language that's all.

    Muy buena jugabilidad con un controles amigables que simplemente hacen de este juego uno de los mejores RPG de DBZ.

    It has its moments of tedium - side fights between the signature fights are more just for grinding ( shock horror in a RPG game made in japan ) - the side quests are just kill, fetch etc mainly although there are some really fun ones - but the combat is fun - it’s better than xenoverse and the boss fights are genuinely interesting mechanically - they not dark souls or whatever - but theyIt has its moments of tedium - side fights between the signature fights are more just for grinding ( shock horror in a RPG game made in japan ) - the side quests are just kill, fetch etc mainly although there are some really fun ones - but the combat is fun - it’s better than xenoverse and the boss fights are genuinely interesting mechanically - they not dark souls or whatever - but they do require a bit of thinking beyond just firing kamehameha- the fan service is the best in a game ever - the mini games and collectibles are fun - I’m a completionist so I have a higher level of endurance for grinding but even just playing them intermittently can be quite fun for players - the game doesn’t require you to do everything to progress but leaves it there if you want it - and there is good flair to everything with nice small touches - if you like DBZ - it’s a must buy - if you never seen DBZ it’s actually a brilliant game to get into the anime and have a decent time - and I would earnestly suggest anyone interested in getting into DBZ to getu… Expand

    There is no DBZ game like it. The closest relative it has in any series is the Ultimate Ninja Storm games, but it is by no means a clone. There is no versus, no online, this is a straight up JRPG. The story is almost verbatim the anime, but with little extras thrown in for fans who have seen it a thousand times. And like the Storm games, it is great fun to simply watch certain classic scenes recreated with the beautiful unreal engine. When Piccolo destroys the moon, his monologue about turning Gohan into a warrior is given the backdrop of meteors from the moon explosion streaking across the night sky. I got chills.

    The combat is fun and satisfying, there is a learning curve as the controls are similar to Storm but cleverly DBZ-ified. One of my favorite details is the mechanic for menus mid-fight: Whenever you hold L1 for a radial menu of super moves, or R1 for support character actions, the fight enters slow-motion. This creates some cool moments, and is optional in the menu if you want a challenge and faster gameplay.

    The RPG elements fit right in. Flying around and exploring nets you Orbs, which are used to upgrade skills, so you're rewarded for nerding out over the map (which is loaded with content.) Low level enemies fly around and provide random encounters for exp. I got so into the side quests and exploration, I let Raditz lock Gohan in a hot space pod for probably 3 hours. I am only one saga into the game, and I really considered calling out of work today to play it until my eyes bleed. The lack of any modes besides story is the only drawback, but if you have Xenoverse 2 then stfu and play the different modes in that. This game is a straight up single player experience.    … Expand

    This game is so awesome. Simply fun and amazing. This is the Dragon Ball I've been waiting for 20 years for. I really love this game

    It looks an amazing game.. It reveals the DragonBall z saga with huge details and is an open rpg world which I dreamed to become true when I was young!!! I highly recommended this game for all dragonball fans

    De todos os jogos do Dragon ball, esse é o MELHOR. A jogabilidade é espetacular os gráficos são os mais bonitos de todos os jogos do Dragon ball. O mapa e lindo, com diversos inimigos e várias coisas acontecendo. O menu é todo organizado e bem fácil de navegar, sempre soube que se um RPG de Dragon ball seria épico. Vale cada centavo

    The, game is fun to say the least but that's not the point i truly with all my heart enjoyed the story as much as its been redone but somewhere in me i feel as if this game has reawakened my childhood with new content from the creator which i enjoy its really hands down one of my favorite anime triple aaa titles.

    This game is amazing. So much fun so far. I just went to explore the whole world and do the quests later like this is the game I've always wanted for dbz anyone that says its borning needs a reality check.

    So far from what I have played its every DBZ fan's wish for a proper RPG addition to the franchise :) its good and I am having fun with it.

    Despite the numerous flaws, Kararot still offers a wonderful retelling of the main story, above-average graphics, and a great soundtrack, so it’s worth picking up for established and new fans of the series alike.

    A very few games can compare to Kakarot in terms of sheer love towards the original series and storytelling qualities. Not without its set of flaws that leave only regret not being even greater, Kakarot still manages to be a great game for fans. No, scratch that. It manages to be an amazing game! May they not stop here, and deliver more and more of love-letters like this. If it goes in the right direction, the next one could definitely be legendary.
