This game will constantly surprise you with amazing twists and great writing, and will go down as one of the best horror games I’ve ever played, and even lands in my top 10 favourite games of all time.

For what is a technically simple game, this is one of the most memorable gaming experiences I've ever had. It made me experience feelings I never thought possible from a video game. If you like this type of genre, or are looking for a one of a kind gaming experience, this is a must. Unfortunately I can't talk about the best part of the game because it's one of those where the less you knowFor what is a technically simple game, this is one of the most memorable gaming experiences I've ever had. Wiriting poems by picking 20 words from a list that you think a certain girl will like to make them like you even more… and then things get weird.. no spoilers, but think portal, things will just randomly be like oh, what game am I laying, and this second half is the better part of the game.. but in general I just didn’t find the story or characters to be that compelling, im glad I went through this ride to see what all the fuss was a about,
it really is a game worth playing, but I didn’t care enough about the characters for the twists to really hit me as much as t should have.. which I feel is due to the repetitive nature of the story, with no real choices to make me feel like I was pushing the story towards any sort of direction, I was just reading and reading and reading, I like cute stuff, I like deep stuff, It’s the same story different day, bpick 20 new words, and I just couldntcare… which kinda left the 6 side stories in the plus version vs the main version to not really be wort hit for me in particular, for that reason id suggest just playing the main game for free, and if the world , the story, and charcters connect with you, go back and play through plus for that bonus content.. I however am not one of those people.
Overall Doki Doki Literature Club isa good game, with crazy wtf moments.. But lower your expectations before going in.. its not as great as everyone pretends it is.
I give Doki Doki Literatue Club Plus
    a 7/10

I played this on PC before, and it was a very worthy experience.
The appeal of this game, is the fact that behind what seems to be a otaku dating sim, there's something deeper (if you manage to get past the boring first 2 hours).
The experience on PC is by far the optimal way to approach this game, for some reasons that you'll understand after playing it, so if you can choose one, take

The experience on PC is by far the optimal way to approach this game, for some reasons that you'll understand after playing it, so if you can choose one, take it on PC.

That being said, this port is far from optimal. Just playing casually, the game has crashed >10 times which is more than 1 crash per hour. I don't know what was so difficult to program for a game where 99% of the content is text, a static image on the background and some music. This poor execution is my biggest complain.
Other issues I had, is the fact this version has a minor censorship, which is nonsensical on a M rated game, BUT is even worse because a few seconds later, you can see on the next image exactly what they censored.

Lastly, this version has some additions from vanilla version, which I didn't personally liked. But that's up to you. Like I said at the beginning, what make this game great, is that's not (only) about some cute anime looking girls dating sim. But the narrative on this game is boring and all the extra content is about that, a thing that I'm not really into. I get that they tried to expand the characters and background, but I saw just half of the side content because I was literally falling asleep.

Tldr; play this but on PC, because it has no replayability and it'll be sad to ruin your first experience on a non optimal version. And avoid looking for any info, because you can get heavy spoilers just on titles or thumbnails on Google or YouTube. Just play it if you're curious (you can even get it legally for free).

The best and most depressing game ever. You really should read the warning before playing

Interesting visual novel game that has some disturbing twists. My main criticism is that if you play the PS4 version on a PS5 console, it is prone to crashing. It crashed about 10 times in 50 mins for me. Very frustrating but thankfully there's an autosave feature.

Apesar do bug de 100% esse jogo é maravilhoso, simplesmente amo a Team Salvato e estou ansioso para o projeto libitina... ou devo chamar de "VM2"?

Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! is a remaster (or just straight up re-release) of the gone viral 2017 game, Doki Doki Literature Club! if it wasn't obvious by the name. It does contain bonus content, and a lot of it. So here's how the story goes:
    ACT 1 BEGINS
You are the main character (which you get to name yourself) and you're asked to join a Literature Club by its Vice President and your longtime friend, Sayori. You eventually decide to check it out and... Holy sh*t, it's an all-girls club?
You then decide to join the club. Time passes and it's time to prepare for the festival. I personally decided to prepare for the festival with shorty Natsuki, but there's an option to prepare for the festival with tall and shy Yuri. And while that is happening, Sayori confesses to you about her depression and her feelings for you. If you accept, you'll start dating her.
Fast-forward to Festival Day and Club President Monika points out that you left Sayori "hanging" this morning. That's when the fun kinda kicks in. You gently open the door to Sayori's room just to see her LITERALLY hanging from a noose, dead.
    ACT 1 ENDS
    ACT 2 BEGINS
You are essentially brainwashed and forget about what happened in Act 1, OEF8ggowrsgrvewyhvrsegoye8ogyre and everything.
This time Monika invites you to the Literature Club, and so, a series of weird events begin.
After a series of poem games and fun story, Yuri confesses her love to you, and even if you accept or not, Yuri will stab herself and force you to spend the ENTIRE weekend with her. You continue to Monday and Natsuki, when seeing Yuri's body, will get nauseous and exit the room. So THAT'S why the ESRB rated this game M for Mature!
Then Monika appears and "deletes" Natsuki and Yuri with a "console" of sorts. Then everything gets deleted
    ACT 2 ENDS
    ACT 3 BEGINS
Welp, here we are. Just Monika. Just Monika until she's in the trash, ****
    ACT 3 ENDS
    ACT 4 BEGINS
Act 4 begins like a mixture of Acts 1 & 2. Sayori is president of the club now, so SHE is self-aware. She tries to Act 3 you but is stopped by Monika, who sings you a song while deleting the entire game.
Overall, the main story is great, with the psychological horror REALLY creeping you out when they happen. And the good story writing is so pleasing, especially after replaying Sonic Forces. Now onto what makes this game "Plus".
The side stories really just tell you more about how the Literature club came to be and the relationships between the 4 girls.
Special art and everything, never-before-seen concept art with the main character's F*CKING FACE!!!
And that's really it for Literature Plus Doki Club Doki! Really great main story, bonus content is great, and I have encountered no unintentional glitches. You should play the game yourself to understand the horror I went through.
I hereby give Doki Plus Literature Club Doki! a 10/10!

This game is for people who have never played visual novels or people that think cheap, gimmicky tactics make for a classic game.

The writing is mediocre (some of the exposition reads like Reddit comments) and the character designs are plain. The game is nothing but tropes, so again, if you’ve never seen these tropes in manga/anime/visual novel, the game might appear to be original.

Again, the game relies on gimmicks. Since the author couldn't craft a decent story, he relies on shock value. You’ll know the scene when you get to it. You can’t replace good writing and a good plot with a couple of shocking CGs. Sorry, but this game is not a classic visual novel. It’s a gimmicky game that exploded thanks to popular gaming YouTube channels streaming it.

Also, the PS4 version crashes consistently. I played through a few times and experienced five crashes despite having the most recently updated version.

I hate to be so hard on the game. The creator seems like a good dude, and the game
helped visual novels become more popular in the west.
