    How does someone create a rally racing game where you have the option to play from inside the car but no way to turn on the windshield wipers? In 30 seconds of running you can't see anything, you have to drive blind! Unreal and ridiculous!

    horrendous, the graphics look horrible once dirt 1 was an example of good graphics but now dirt 5 looks terrible, the car models are laughable and the handling is even worse than arcade games wtf happened to code masters thay don't deserve this name. this game should have been a mobile game not a console game.

    i though I would like it but from the start, when I saw ugliest menu ever, to the first few races I was disgusted.

    I admit that this is not a Rally game and I just want to say that I don't like it as a Rallycross game.

    Rallycross game, which does not contain any details for entertainment purposes only, the graphics are different but I did not like it very much.

    The online part is quite fun, you just play for fun without thinking too much because everyone is equal.

    As a casual player who has never played a DiRT game before, DiRT 5 is a bit of fun although it is very repetitive. My main gripe with this game, excluding the lack of a good career mode, is the physics. There are so many objects located at the edges of the track that are modelled as rigid, even if they shouldn't be, for instance, a bamboo plant. That means that if my vehicle makes contactAs a casual player who has never played a DiRT game before, DiRT 5 is a bit of fun although it is very repetitive.     Game looks good and play really wel with the manual. The downside is the ai and unrealistic car behaviore. Every car is a brick that can't move. The drifting is also pretty garbage. The music is the worst feature bunch of hippy woke songs nobody except a handfull of murrica people listen to. Where is the drum and bass and heavy metal ?

    First of all, I was hoping, this game would continue to be the perfect mix of arcade & somewhat realistic gameplay elements like the previous dirt games did (not the rally series, ofc.). But my hope was destroyed quite fast.

    I don't know where to start, but maybe I'll start with the AI. Well, it is artificial, but far from intelligent. The "AI" is a complete joke. I played from medium difficulty up to very hard and it is a complete disaster. I admit, my favourite category was the 90's rally, so obviously there's a little "boost" when I played those races, they were easier. But still, some races seemed incredibly easy even on very hard, while some races seemed impossible on medium difficulty. I always thought NFSU's catch-up logic is the top in this category, but this is very close to it, even "better".

    The tracks are boring after the 2.-3. career phase, but it is clear, they had the potential to be extremely fun tracks, it just did not work out. Waste of opportunity.

    While I understand, that it's an arcade game, I simply cannot accept the fact, that going like an idiot, crashing into opponents, sliding on them into the corners is much-much-much more rewarding, than trying to race with some brain. Planning a maneuver (having a better acceleration for the next straight for example) absolutely makes no sense, just pull the trigger, crash into something, don't release the trigger, keeeeeep pulling. If you are in really deep trouble, like a hairpin is coming, just smash the handbrake button, everything will be fine. I wasn't expecting real life physics, but this is a complete joke.

    As mentioned, the graphics is probably the best part of the whole product. I played it on PS4/5 + One X, it seems to be more than okay on all platforms.
    The player card + stickers seems to be fun, it's a good thing.
    Playgrounds can be very addictive, there are some great guys out there, with a lot of creativity.

    Considering, how much I loved Dirt 2/3/4, this is a massive disappointment.
    It seems, that Codemasters lost the focus. The visuals, graphics were priority no 1., everything else was secondary.

    Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the dynamic weather is stunning, but my brain was so f*cked during the races, that I felt, the whole weather change was only to create big contrast between dark and bright areas and you won't see a thing. But it's just probably an overreaction from me.

    Still got the platinum tho, but for me, this is way below dirt 2-3-4.    … Expand

    Несмотря на негативные отзывы мне игра зашла. Хорошие аркадные гонки по природе с бодрой музыкой и вайбом нулевых-десятых. Также понравился ненавязчивый сюжет, подаваемый через ироничные подкасты про доброе соперничество. Ещё огромный плюс - наличие сплитскрина.Несмотря на негативные отзывы мне игра зашла. Хорошие аркадные гонки по природе с бодрой музыкой и вайбом нулевых-десятых. Также понравился ненавязчивый сюжет, подаваемый через ироничные подкасты про доброе соперничество. Ещё огромный плюс - наличие сплитскрина.

    Tomando Dirt5 sin caer en comparaciones, es un juego entretenido bastante arcade de forma que las carreras se sienten bien repetitivas donde los primeros 3 lugares hace lo imposible para que no ganes la carrera, dependiendo la dificultad tiene sus momentos absurdos donde los autos están desde el punto en no dejarte ganar y hacerte lo imposible hasta que toman velocidades absurdas, el juegoTomando Dirt5 sin caer en comparaciones, es un juego entretenido bastante arcade de forma que las carreras se sienten bien repetitivas donde los primeros 3 lugares hace lo imposible para que no ganes la carrera, dependiendo la dificultad tiene sus momentos absurdos donde los autos están desde el punto en no dejarte ganar y hacerte lo imposible hasta que toman velocidades absurdas, el juego más que en la carrera se centra en derrapes, al igual mantiene unas físicas desde absurdas hasta el punto en que sientes que el juego se siente injugable y frustrante, sin embargo gráficamente es muy bueno, al igual que jugablemente es bastante sencillo y atrapante, recomendado con un platino sencillo y aún teniendo sus contras es una opción divertida.… Expand

    Gameplay is just absolutely terrible. It's ok visually, sounds are whatever, bad car list with a bunch of dlcs, no sense of speed at all and car control is really bad. There are cool tracks but the gameplay is so bad and that is by far the most important thing in a racing game. Terribly disappointing game, but what could we expect from EA right.

    The lack of rally races is a disgrace to the Dirt name.     PERFORMANCE! The game is running in like 20 fps on my ps4 pro. Some tracks are not playable at all, FPS just drops to about 5 and the game becomes a slodeshow. Oh, and the more FPS you have, the faster you drive. So, as soon as performance drops to 10fps, all bots will just overcome you instantly.

    Dirt 5 is a disgusting game, 4 out of 10. Disgustingly done intro. For me, basically, the most disgusting cacophony that cannot be called music. 100500 similar races so what? Strong artificial tightening, which is further increased by DLC. Poor optimization on PS4 slim - frequent FPS drops. The garbage atmosphere of the festival. Useless chatter of some people - podcasts. DisgustingDirt 5 is a disgusting game, 4 out of 10. Disgustingly done intro. For me, basically, the most disgusting cacophony that cannot be called music. 100500 similar races so what?     It does at least feel like they tried to go back to the glory days of Dirt 2, but feels extremely rushed and just not even close to finished.     Game is shallow and does not deserve its name. Worst of the series, cars are uninspired and there is no feeling of contact with the track. It feels like you are driving a hovercraft. Flashy visuals are just OK, but nothing special. Played a bit and could not progress due to lack of interest. I do not recommend.

    Does not deserve to have the word "Dirt" in the title at all. This game concept is so bad it made me question my love for "real" racing games. Tried during a free weekend on a PS4 Pro (with a G923 steering wheel) and also really poor performance whichever mode I set.

    This is more realistic MotorStorm game. Split screen multiplayer performance for PS4 is fantastic. If you love split screen games this is the best sim/arcade racing game for 8th and 9th generation consoles. Cherry on the top is changing time of the day, and weather features.
    It was very fun to play 4 player split screen, set about 20 laps, 12 cars, starting race from dawn and finishing it    This is more realistic MotorStorm game. Split screen multiplayer performance for PS4 is fantastic. If you love split screen games this is the best sim/arcade racing game for 8th and 9th generation consoles.     Id like to add that I only made an account to review this game! This game is complete garbage compared to the ENTIRE FRANCHISE of the Dirt series! This is just another genaric racing game that has you drive around the same tracks over and over again with different vehicles! The removed huge parts of other dirt games that made them dirt games! Like rally, time trial etc.! I am a massive fanId like to add that I only made an account to review this game! This game is complete garbage compared to the ENTIRE FRANCHISE of the Dirt series! This is just another genaric racing game that has you drive around the same tracks over and over again with different vehicles! The removed huge parts of other dirt games that made them dirt games! Like rally, time trial etc.! I am a massive fan of the dirt franchise and it feels as if this game was just a desperate cash grab from the company to cash out on the dirt name! Nobody cares about this weird genre that has nothing to do with actual rallying! I've been playing Codemasters games since the first Colin McRae Rally so I believe I have a say in this.     As great as Dirt 5's presentation may be, the gameplay is lacking. It looks and sounds incredible at times, but there isn't too much engaging content here to challenge players to do more and perform better as the driver. That changes if you're primarily racing against friends online or offline, but as a single-player experience, it feels flat once you peek under the flashy hood. It's fun for a few races at a time, and it's easy to jump in, but it's even easier to drop once you've had your fill.
