    Not everyone's cup of tea but it certainly is mine! I love the asynchronous multiplayer and the characters are all so beautifully tragic. An innovative game and one of my favorites of all time. This is most certainly a piece of art and i appreciate it for everything it has to say.

    Gorgeous fantastic game, more movie or book than game. Death stranding is an experience and focuses on being art first and foremost over purely being a product engineered for monetization or profit for profits sake. The game is a cotemplative and self reflective experience and is deliberately slow as to let you feel the weight of ots concepts sink in.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Death Stranding is pure art. I got totally addicted to the gameplay. Kojima created a new original IP with gameplay that you never had before. This is game is not like any other one. It’s a realistic journey for the player. A journey that tells a deep intriguing story. A journey for your own mind aswell. Society today is so busy that most people won’t appreciate this game. It’s meditative, but also action filled gameplay when you meet the BT’s or other human enemies. This game deserves a lot of praise!… Expand

    One of the funnest, most interesting games I've ever played. These conservatives crying about it are hilarious. The game is a masterpiece. Don't let all these racists and boomers ruin it for you.

    It's a very different kind of videogame : But IT IS GOOD. Level design is incredible, graphics are one of the best i've seen on a regular ps4. Gameplay is weird but very fresh, stealth parts are great and happen more often than I thought so. Cutscenes and storywise, it's going to keep you hooked.

    I already played 8 hours and that game is one of the best games i ever played ! I put it on the Olympus with Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Last Of Us (for this generation). Thank you Master Kojima, can't wait to eat all the game! The story is deep and addictive !!! 10/10

Whoever rate this game a 1/10 is probably those people who only play action packed game and expecting something out of this game. This game is a game where you have to enjoy.     Great game. Nothing is boring in DS. It may not be your favourite game, sure, but you have to say that its pretty revolutionary. You can feel Kojima's message. Wonderful, i didnt expect so much gameplay. Audio and video 10/10.

Bosses are really good, you can find a lot of different ways to finish a delivery, or you can have a lot of different approaches before fighting with enemies. The people who rated it 0 are just haters of kojima and they just want to watch him fail. Probably they didn't even played it. "walking simulator" it'sThis game is amazing.     Its a game for the lucky ones that will actually understand it. Lots of people are judging it basing just on prejudices. If you are capable and willing to try something that is more then a call of duty, give this masterpiece a try. You will not be disappointed. A true masterpiece.

    So, after 20 hours of gameplay this is my honest opinion: This game is like no other, like really...
    If you want to try something out that's new and at the same time familiar, This is the game for you.

    The game looks and runs beautifully on a regular ps4. The game is a literal UPS/USPS simulator but with guns and bombs and more tools at your disposal with rhe addition of ghosts(bt's). Some people might find this boring and some people might find it satisfying to deliver the packages safely to their location.
    I believe that the people giving the game under a 6 is either a hater of kojima or just plain casual gamers who went in expecting this game to be like a ghost recon or cod type of game. Unfortunately those of you were wrong lol.
    Now, i give this game a 7.5/10 because it's repetitive nature of the beginning. And the positive of great actors, voice acting, amazing story and lack of bugs (so far after 20hrs no bugs). Other than that it's a solid game you should buy when in sale if you're skeptical. So if you read this review thank you and have a wonderful night/day.    … Expand

    Personally I give this game a 10, only giving it a 9 because it is not for everyone. This is not COD. That being said, there is action. BTs will pop up out of nowhere, and you don’t have any real way to combat them until later In the game. When you have your back loaded down and it starts to rain, it’s always a “oh crap” moment. All it takes is for one BT to get too close. Then there’sPersonally I give this game a 10, only giving it a 9 because it is not for everyone. This is not COD. That being said, there is action. BTs will pop up out of nowhere, and you don’t have any real way to combat them until later In the game. When you have your back loaded down and it starts to rain, it’s always a “oh crap” moment. All it takes is for one BT to get too close. Then there’s MULEs, which to be fair are pretty dumb and easy to fight but can be overwhelming when you’ve got too much stuff.

    There is a lot of walking. A lot. But th me the walking is the best part, you find lost deliveries, there’s structures you didn’t know were there. Stuff other players built, etc.

    Give it a try, but keep in mind it’s not for everyone.    … Expand

    Based on the trailers I had no interest in the game, but we bought it with my boyfriend. I have to say, this is the best game I could spend my money on.
    The game starts slow and you can't really understand what's going on which I - for one - like a lot. It gives world building a big focus, I love the atmosphere in the game.     The game starts slow and you can't really understand what's going on which I - for one - like a lot. It gives world building a big focus, I love the atmosphere in the game. Yes, the main quests are delivering things, but the main focus is not that - the focus is on discovering new, abandoned parts of the country. and building things with the 'help' of other players. This is also very well designed as you cannot see other users buildings until you are connected to the network after your main mission. The online functions are very smart in my opinion.
    I, for one don't really like action games, but I have to say this game gives you action if you want to have it. [spoiler] If you want to play stealth, you play it. If you want to fight the BTs, you fight them. The game gives you the info/tools to do both if you wish. [/spoiler] . After chapter 3, things get rough, so only the beginning is slow.
    I don't think it's fair to give a game a bad review only after a few hours of playing.
    I can only recommend this game for real. I am so happy we got it in the end.    … Expand

    Adventure games are a dime a dozen. Uncharted captured action with charm while treasure hunting. The Witcher series gave you complex choices in a fantasy setting with a great world to explore. Death stranding takes you into a place unfamiliar with concepts related to gaming. .

    Fantastico! Amo questo gioco. È vero è un gioco che può essere solo amato o odiato. Io lo amo. Non consiglio questo gioco a chi tiene solo ai multiplayer. Consiglio invece vivamente ai veri player di giocare questo gioco perché merita.

    Um excelente jogo, que tem um enredo fabuloso e emocionante, que se conecta muito ao gameplay. O capitulo 2 e 5 poderiam ser um pouco menores, fora isso o jogo é perfeito.

    Amazing game! I’ve been playing for 6 hours and the story, the graphics are unbelievable. It’s true that the gameplay it’s not the best, but neither was heavy rain or Detroit become human for example, and those are great classics

    One of the best games i ever played with a lot of freedom, tension, emotion in every scene with a little bit of action and beautiful places to sit and enjoy.
    I absolutely recommend this title!

    I normally dont write reviews but I felt i had after all the negative reviews. I get why people are mad, because when the bought the game they was expecting some metal gear/ call of duty action. But instead the got a FedEx simulator meets nightmare on elms street. Well at least to them they did. The challenge of navigating the difficult terrain is fun and using ropes and ladders left by others players. You can also leave emojis warning other players of the dangers ahead.. at first it was difficult learning all the stuff of how to craft items and make bridges. But once you get use to it it gets fun.     While certainly being revolutionary in the way the game connects other players, it certainly isn't for everyone.     The world is bleak and depressingly empty which can detract many people as well, since the exploration isn't as rewarding as for example Legend of Zelda: BotW.
    If you're looking for deep gameplay and adrenaline driven experience, avoid by miles. The story and social features are worth it though.    … Expand

    Death Stranding is creating a new game genre and therefore paves its own path towards more interactive experiences. It is a brave work thanks to its novelty, which fortunately is not a bragging right for its creators, as it may have seemed, but an exceptional title that will reward the brave who play it. [Issue#299]

    This game does manage to be fun, even if it is one of the heaviest experiences of 2019. Everything from story to gameplay is begging to be dissected, filled with imagery and symbolism -- just like so many Kojima games before this one. Entering Death Stranding, it’s likely that we all thought Kojima’s calling card was lengthy cutscenes and stealth and action gameplay.

    Death Stranding stands as a powerful author’s game which drives a strong message of how our over-connected society is evolving, and how we can help other players. Unlike many AAA games, it shines on a truly spiritual level. Well written, engaging and visually magnificent, it offers, despite some pacing flaws, an astonishing solo game with elegant multiplayer elements. A unique representation of Hideo Kojima’s talent.
