    I have a love/hate relationship with this game: the story starts up pretty bland but does get better later, the gameplay is just horrible at first by gets better as well, and the open world is pretty good. Overall I'd say the game isn't bad though it also has a lot of technical flaws.

    It wasnt optimized well for base PS4. It had lots of bugs and I mean A LOT of bugs upon release. Story is very average. World is massive but its empty. Bend Studios can learn a lot from Ubisoft, and how they create massive worlds with lots of stuff to explore. Soundtrack's alright, not masterpiece, not bad either.     But the story was where it sank.
    Oh so many places in the story I had to stop playing because I got so angry with how the character reacted, what actions he took and decisions he made. Even the ending as an example.
    Our characters plan to save his wife from a hostage situation was to just walk in pointing a gun at the guy without him knowing and then just show yourself and give up your sidearm? Are you ****ing kidding me?

    Gameplay wonderful.

    Days gone is a game that had a lot of problems in its release with several bugs, but as I got the game recently in plus I didn't have any of these big problems but in fact I found some bugs during my game and errors in the audio.     Not good enough like TLOU or Resident Evil, but still is a solid game. Interesting world and characters. A bit small disappointment with history.

    The story is interesting but Deacon is boring... and I mean VERY boring... other characters are average. Gameplays is great, graphics too... there is an ocasional stutter. But the game is missing something... I not quite sure what but theres just nothing that special...

Game should take more notes from RDR2 and the good elements of DayZ. I was so excited for this game, but when the mixed reviews came out, I waited for a sale.     I was kinda disappointed mid game. The open world map is massive, and I like that, however, I don't think it complements with the story and gameplay itself. The gameplay is okay, but it got boring since the main quests got kind of redundant. Stealth kills are not as good as other games. The graphics are not the best, but it is bearable (especially that the game is full of glitches). TheI was kinda disappointed mid game. But what it does, often, even if nothing new here, it does it pretty well. The beginning was not great, but then the story and characters become better, and using your bike to go through this apocalyptic setting is pretty fun. It's just a game you have to enjoy like a B movie. It's fun, easy going, it has some great moments, but nothing more, nothing to make your jaw falls to the floor. Just a good little game.    … Expand

    I did really like this game. The only reason I didn’t give it an 8 was because of its save game feature. Apparently you can only save while near your bike or a bed. Didn’t know this and wasted many hours in the beginning. Extremely frustrating.

    Касательно сюжета, он нудный. Действие игры тянется на протяжении чуть больше трети года, и за это время нет никакого ощущения движения сюжета, потому что все квесты, как основные, так и побочные – однообразные. Я не почувствовал изменения в персонаже, что я какую-то арку прошёл. Всё осталось ровно на своих местах, просто вы становитесь более осведомлённым о ситуации в целом. Да, вы получаете огромные толпы зомби, но вы практически беспомощны перед ними. Я проходил игру на скорую руку, на лёгком уровне сложности, и даже здесь возникли трудности из-за постоянной нехватки ресурсов, непонимания откуда их брать. У вас только 2 способа расправится с ордой: 1) Закидать её всем метательным оружием в вашем арсенале, И вам очень повезёт, если орда маленькая и умрёт сразу, 2) Закидать орду небольшим количеством гранат, напалмовых коктейлей, потом бегать от них несколько часов неигрового времени, и пытаться взорвать бегущую за вами ораву близстоящими бочками. Самое главное, что игра вас принуждает всё делать в одиночку, вы не можете попросить помощи, чтобы вам помогли, вы просто должны уничтожить несколько сотен фриков самостоятельно.
    Остаточными сюжетными заданиями, после основной компании, студия оставила задел на будущее, но по факту это хороший плот-твист, который нужно было раскрывать ранее в сюжете, чтобы сохранить хоть какой-то интерес к происходящему.    … Expand

For example how the game harshly changes from gameplay to cut scenes throws me out of experience everytime, it is so badly done like a PS3 era game but saying this is an insult to The Last of Us and other well done PS3 games.     One of the most underrated games of the generation. The story is not the best one compared to other PS exclusives but the gameplay, the graphics, the huge amount of details are amazing. A lot of people complained about the bugs but I believe most of them are fixed now.

But at the same time, a game that I couldn't stop until I reached the end due to a very intriguing story even if the bland characters only get a good development towards the end of the game.

    Although not perfect, I found days gone to be a very entertaining game. At first I was weary because of the other reviews, but I received it free as part of the PlayStation plus collection. This game has quite a large open world map but not too large to where it is overwhelming. The gameplay and combat system I found to be very effective and smooth and the length of the game, althoughAlthough not perfect, I found days gone to be a very entertaining game.     a "good" open world zombie game! its fun to ride and fun to fight agianst these hords of zombies !!     With Days Gone, there are as many positive things I can say about the game as negative. Let's start with the positives. The open world is beautiful and detailed, from grass to rocks to gravel to asphalt to the trees and houses and interiors of every building is spot on. the character models are great, facial animations are also very well done. The Freakers (Zombies) are detailed with there blistered discolored skin, however its the sound design that shines the most. Having a hoard of i them behind you, hearing them chirp and screech, hundreds of feet slaming the ground gives you a rush. The Freaker wolves can run faster than your motorcycle, which can make a simple ride down the road a ride for your life. The Freaker bears will give you pause as you decide between killing them (which takes a LOT of ammo) or just going the other way. The guns are also very detailed and sound amazing. Riding your bike is smooth and responsive, however if you're not carefull it can get away from you resulting in a hilarious demise. The story of the game is good, not great, but good. Overall, a good open world zombie shooter. Now the negatives. (This is a RANT). There are WAY to many cuts from game to cinematic, the load time between them is too slow for a game made in 2019. The acting in the Days Gone is fairly good but some lines of dialogue feel out of place.The Freakers, as numerous as they are, are too easy to dispatch, the Freaker wolves, although able to outrun your bike, are simple to kill, the Freaker bears, although incredibly tough to bring down, are sluggish and easy to outpace and can be instakilled with a upgrade you get as you level up. The human enemys are pethetic. However my biggest complaint in Days Gone is the VIRUS it self. In terms of a virus for zombies, Days Gone has the best version of it over Left 4 Dead, Dying Light, and The Last of Us. my complaint is that if you put logic to the virus in Days Gone, it destroys the game as a whole. in Days Gone you find audio logs that detaile the virus and how infectious it is. in the logs you figure out that it not only infects humans, but it also infects animals and insects, meaning you could be bit by a mosquito and you're infected! Which means you can't even walk outside without a armored environmental suit! You can't hunt or farm meat due to the risk of infection. You can't even live on land! You would have to live on a ship, even then you still have to deal with the occasional infected bird, not to mention the thousands if not millions of infected fish and sharks swimming beneath you... cheary thought. Simply put, Days Gone should have been a completely different game. Days Gone is well worth your time playing it, but the logic of the virus kills the experience.… Expand

For the next game I would like a less few story missions and more side quest and less repetiveness. But all bs aside its a great fun game.     Gorgeous environments and exhilarating horde battles don't save Days Gone from an uninspired, cliched and painfully overlong story. That being said, roaming in the wilderness of Oregon is in turns thrilling and calming.

    El juego es más de lo mismo: mundo abierto con mucho punto, muchos campamentos enemigos, secundarias y hordas enemigas que descubrir. El personaje al que llamaremos El Gorras es un flipado que dan ganas de tirarlo a la primera horda que te encuentras y rezar para que no vuelva a aparecer. A pesar de esto me lo he pasado muy bien con el título.     this is a great type of game, the gameplay is fun to say the least, but the story except for a few more scenes is not entirely crazy, I honestly believe that the only thing I would do in this game is the hordes, but the other things do not I would never repeat them, the game, the graphics and the actions you can devise are full 8, but the story is 6 in my opinion.

    I was going to give the game a 6 but I find my self wanting to go back to it to clean up the side missions on the map AND I ENJOY IT. Ide give it a solid 7.8, almost a 8 but I will pay for 8's more than once.

But I seem to be one of the rare few this has happened to, not bugs as a whole, but this specific bug.

    There are also a few weird and aggressive difficult spikes at multiple points. It's not unmanageable, but it's also pretty obnoxious. It's not hard in the sense that you want to keep playing for the reward of beating it. It's annoying and feels like they're expecting too much from you. As if the game isn't aware at how not polished some of the game systems are, and how that gets in the way of you effectively doing what it wants of you in scenarios with very little room for error. These sections encourage you to use glitches or exploits because otherwise, it is aggravating, and not in a good way.    … Expand

It's a decent zombie experience but there are way better video games out there to enjoy before checking out days gone. I felt i wasted my money on sth that is not bad! Shooting is bad, taking a look after your bike is rather tedious. No jump which is very inconvenient. Map is boring and lifeless.     1. Story is cheesy and the bikers' personalities is a bunch of stereotypes by it does its job 6/10
    2. Graphics are ok, but everything is colorless and monotonous and boring as in GTA IV: TLAD 6/10
    3. Gameplay is generic and doesn't have any variety. You can either kill a zombie from the back in the stealth mode, you can fight with them which means press one button and roll and some QTE, and you can drive your motorcycle. That's it nothing more nothing less. The city is boring and doesn't give you any reasons for exploration. 6/10
    4. Interface's ok 6/10

    You might enjoy the first few hours, but then you realize you've already seen most of what the game has to offer. The zombies quickly become insignificant pieces of scenery on your repetitive bike rides back and forth to kill some guy or fetch some whatever. Where's the fear, the tension, the surprises or scares? The hordes are interesting at first, but once you've seen one, you've seen them all.

    The game does deserve some points for the well-designed atmosphere, and really capturing what an open-road motorcycle ride would feel like in the zombie apocalypse. But that's about all the credit I can give it.

    Not a bad game, but not a particularly good one either. If you've already played TLOU, TLOU 2, RE 2 Remake, RE 7, Dying Light, The Evil Within, and you still need zombies... then I guess you can pick this up.    … Expand

Plain and simple, the game is fun to play. There are some really likeable characters and a story that's well told and sometimes even emotional. That is, until you come to THAT part of the game...

    Post apocalypse games rarely deal well with their endings and unfortunately this one doesn't either. Seriously, this game is great fun and worth playing. The only downside is the terrible ending.     The hordes. A system that promised to be fun turns out to be a tedious, slow and boring replay of attack and flight.

    I'm not sure how this game did so poorly with all the "journalists". This is easily one of the most fun games I've played . I like that I can pick up and play for and hour or multiple and still get sucked in to the story and game play . It's not perfect but I would definitely rated it like

When I play a game I'm looking for something that plays fine with at least a fun story, it doesn't have to be great for me to enjoy, but that being said Days Gone is a game that I don't really like playing or watching. I've played it twice once on PS4, and once on PS5. I'll say the PS4 playthrough was worse just for the freezing and glitches. The PS5 didn't really have those problems. From a gameplay stand point it's okay, the shooting feels good enough, and the way deacon moves is nice. The bike controls are pretty good as well. Though I don't like the melee, it's pretty boring and kind of ugly to look at. The weapon durability is annoying but that's not a Days Gone problem, that just shouldn't exist in any game. Though all that wouldn't be a problem if Days Gone had a story that didn't make me cringe all the time. Let's start with the story over all - it's fine, a sad man in a zombie apocalypse misses his dead wife and can't get over it. The side story's are more interesting but aren't very fleshed out and are pretty short overall. Boozer's (your best friend in the game) story is more interesting he has a dead girlfriend/wife as well without it being a dragged out bin story. He does lose an arm an has to deal with learning to cope with it. He goes from an outsider to being a big part of a community and trusting more people again. In contrast Deacon (the player character) flip flops from a complete crazy person mostly during gameplay, to a 15 year old emo kid who can barely speak to his best friend, or really anyone for that matter. The four camps you visit in game are fine. One is a slave labour camp, one is a libertarian camp, one is a more well rounded "do the right thing" type camp, and one is and army. The slave camp and the libertarian camp don't have much story to them apart from a storyline with a young girl that is pretty dull. The well rounded camp (Iron Mike) is where you get a lot more characters and story but its still mostly centered around Sarah (Deacon's wife), Boozer, and a couple people at the camp. Over all my biggest problem with Days Gone is it tries so hard to do what games like Red Dead Redemption 2 do, and that take on a morally grey main character and make them understandable, have them grow, even if you don't agree with them all the time. But it doesn't feel like Deacon grows much at all. Boozer tries to help him get over Sarah's death but in the end he's proven right that she's not dead, and if he had let it go he wouldn't have found her. He spends years not trusting anyone to spite the fact that they want his help and would make him a part of things if he would just try a little. I know they wanted to have him be a person who can't let go of the past but at some point it gets silly. As for the story being emotional it all fell pretty flat. The flashbacks with Sarah before you find her are some of the most cringey scenes I've seen in along time - in particular the wedding, which was so awful that it made me audibly laugh. By the end of the story I just leave a game that took me 20 hours to complete feeling like it took me 40, with about 2 hours of real story. If you cut out the bandit camps, chasing down people for ally camps, and the NERO checkpoints, this game has two mission types: go to a place and shoot people or go to a place and shoot zombies, sometimes you'll have to get an item and bring it back. I also have some smaller issues, though there not important enough to say here. It's a game made with a lot of talent and money, but not much substance. I cant see how anyone can find this emotional as it's like a poorly written fanfiction at times. Though one benefit is no microtransactions!… Expand

No game should feel the need to innovate, but this games lack of adventure in its choices left this feeling very bland and vanilla. Even the hordes that the games major marketing revolved around are in reality no more than a recreation of COD zombie's in a open world space whereby kiting here works exactly the same as kiting does in COD.

There’s a lot of filler and it feels a little bit too long. There’s certain missions that felt unnecessary to be in here. In the final third the game, it feels a bit more turbo charged. A lot of stuff happens and its a bit jarring. The game just isn’t paced right.

    I’m not going to spoil too much but the story throughout the game has being building up to the answer to this question, is your wife still alive. But then it’s sidetracked with other random tasks that have nothing to do with the the main plot. The way the story is told is so frustrating. A bit of this story here, a bit of that story there. There’s no flow. And then when we get to the end its seems thrown together in a rush with a load of guns and fire. And the main villain in the end only existed as the big baddy for about five minutes. I was confused by that. They had another one build up a ready to go but finished him off in a cutscene. Peculiar decisions.

    The world that the game is in is fantastic. The world feels alive and it is interesting. The enemies you come across is vast enough that it keeps me entertained. There are times where I’m in no mood for certain ones like the screamers but I power through. The bike I love. It sounds awesome and I don’t care what anyone says but I like the customisation options. I thought that at some point we were going to get the original bike back but I guess the game forgot about it.

    Overall its a great game and I would have gotten the sequel if there ever was to be one. My main issues would be some of the bugs, funny as they may be but a little annoying. And that weapon wheel. My word it’s awful. Trying to select a weapon is just frustrating. Anyway I give this a seven and I think I’m being a little bit generous    … Expand

    Days Gone suffered a lot due to various bugs, the game has an open atmospheric world with infected people, the plot is unfortunately not so interesting, riding a motorcycle and survival elements are done well, but after a while everything gets boring

I was mildly disappointed. The story takes so long to get interesting. when it picks up it gets really good. but by that point i just want the game to be over. The story alone is easily a 8/10. but the games poor gunplay and memorable open world bring it down by a lot. The entire game is basically an errand simulator, running jobs for the various camp leaders. doing bounties, taking out enemy camps, and rescuing hostages, all for **** camp owners (except Iron Mike he was the one defend camp leader, rip) who don’t give a damn about the people in their camps. the first half of the games slow boring story is taken up by keeping boozer alive. the next half is still more errands until you learn that Deacons wife is still alive and you know where she is. the last 1/4 of the game is working with the militia to blend in so you can help break out Sarah. The last stretch of the game is easily the best part. Destroying the militia camp that has done sarah so wrong and pissed everyone off for the time in that camp. Even that segment of the game is held back by the terrible gunplay. managing the bike is a pain in the ass. that’s all about the bike.

    The idea of this game taking place in a post apocalyptic world is there at the very beginning, but slowly goes away the more you progress. With the merchants selling everything you could possibly need. Ammo, guns, gasoline for your bike, and everything you could possibly need in the apocalypse. If you want to play a good zombie type game. there’s plenty of better options than this, i would recommend dying light, or the last of us.     The journey throughout this game was full of ups and downs for me. While a admire the devs initiative in trying to redefine a genre, my final sentiment was that the final vision was far from being accomplished.

    Unfortunately the story felt too long and predictable and I only could get emotionally invested in it in the final part of the game, with special mention to the incredibly boring flashbacks. The antagonists are not very interesting and didn't provide any surprises or meaningful plot twists.

    Nevertheless the game can be fun and I had a good time playing it in most of the times. Riding with your bike throughout beautiful landscapes felt really nice. The art style and character models and scenarios are top tier, with special mention to the actor who plays the main protagonist, who was excellent and really put his heart in the role.

    The problems start when you realise the lack of polishing in most game mechanics and the absurd lack of mission variety. It really feels that you are kept doing the same 3 missions over and over gain during the whole game, being that either a variation of tracking a bounty, eliminate an enemy camp or bring an item to someone.

    Stealth felt pointless and too repetitive and always with the same outcomes. Character progression is too linear and the skills you unlock are not very exciting. Most of them feel like things you should already be able to do since the beginning. The gun play is enjoyable, with a decent but yet limited variety of weapons that don't play very different from each other. Most of times it feels the game just makes you grind for more powerful versions of the same guns.

    While the open world is cool and looks great it was not well designed for exploration. There is nothing to do outside of scripted mission. The eventual question marks that will pop in your map will only lead you to a limited variety of boring and recycled encounters with animals, bandit ambushes or a corpse to be looted. At some point I just stopped chasing them. The day/night cycle could have been used better. As far as I could tell it only alters enemy populations.

    Now, the horde system is really good. Until later in the game they feel really threatening and taking down your first horde is on of the emotional highlights of the game. Once you start doing that frequently you can develop your own tactics and have fun with it.

    Overall I feel this is an above average good game that was far from achieving it's full potential but yet I look forward to play a sequel.

    Jogo com uma história com enredo bom, porém demora DEMAIS para acontecer.
    Gameplay de combate razoável, nada de se esperar.
    Dirigibilidade com a mota é algo muito prazeroso de ser fazer no vasto mapa de Days Gone.
    O jogo está lotado de bugs de textura, crash e bug na hora do combate.
    Gráficos são bons.
    Jogo razoavelmente bom.

    Cumpre o seu papel, acompanha de uma história bacana e uma gameplay interessante.
    Days Gone é um bom jogo para se jogar, apesar de em determinado momento aparentar ser pouco repetitivo e exaustivo, já que não fornece tanta gama de opções pós terminar a história.

    Good gameplay and story, very nice atmosher and fun moto bike riding. But so many stupid bugs has corrupted the game. Why did Sony allow it to be released the with so many bugs!!!

    Played on PS5. Very addictive gameplay loop where you just scavenge cautiously for upgrades, trying to deal quickly with the dangers. Fairly easy. Good looking visuals. But a horribly shallow story and way too much cut scenes or parts where you walk around during some "emotional" conversation.

    It's a pity that there are many bugs. Without them, it would be a top game. Nevertheless, all topics are OK, map, story and gameplay. A problem is as some games, apart from having repetitive missions it's too long.

    Days ago is considered one of the most frustrating games for me, as it did not give an excellent experience in terms of the open world, as it is full of defects in terms of transmission, and it is difficult, and sometimes I felt bored and repetitive, so my rating for this game is 6.7 out of 10

    Bend Studio made a great game with a rich, believable and captivating story. They’ve also resisted the lure of trends: there’s no multiplayer, no lootboxes, no “game as a service” plans – just a very solid (and finite) singleplayer experience.     At the beginning of the game you’ll feel like you've already played this game... then it will let you go for a while only to return with reinforcements (and lots of bugs). However, Days Gone has a couple of pleasant moments, that can't be denied. [Issue#295]

    I expect and hope for a sequel. Just know that going into this game that there is a lot of tedious nonsense to pad out a really good game to make it feel more worth every dollar, much to its detriment. I want to give this game a better score because the best moments are so good, but the large portion of this game is so bloody tiring that I just can’t.
