If you haven't played Dark Cloud yet, now is a perfect time to jump in. Sure, you'll encounter some relics of old school design, but if you're willing to overlook a few antiquated concepts and really dive in, you'll find a rich RPG that will last you as long as you're willing to put into it.

I'm really kicking myself that I took the chance to play it, as Dark Cloud is a cool Sim City/Dungeon crawler/RPG, that isn't the prettiest game; but is fun to play.

I can certainly see why this was remastered!! Look forward to playing the second one in the future.

I had wondered whether my love for the game was simple nostalgia, but after playing this again now with updated graphics, I can say that I still love it to pieces, specially the weapon upgrading system and, of course, the fishing! If anything, I would recommend people to look at this game and then turn around to the sequel, Dark Cloud 2 (Dark Chronicle outside the US), which might have been the best game on the PS2.
