Somewhat addictive, not terrible to look at, and a bit shallow, but one does get the sense that the dev team was making a game, and not simply labouring towards a goal and a paycheck.

To be honest, it's one of those games that deserves a sequel not because we need more of this, but because there's a path between this decisively average little train-ride brawler and a truly awesome game.

I just wish this was it.

(As a sidenote for mia peeples, if u don't play many rpgs and can't get used to the X/O configuration, you can change it. Via the vita system software.)

Croixleur Sigma is just bad, and is not recommended for anyone to play. Navigating the start screen and menus was a pain at first because the button lay-out is really odd. You use the circle button like you normally would the cross button and vice versa. Also, I hit a bug where they switched for a minute, no idea why. Also, I hit a bug where they switched for a minute, no idea why. The game is a smash-em up brawler, and the basic point is to navigate level by level up the tower fighting increasingly difficult enemies. The enemy AI is off, and they mostly just wander around and don't tend to all come at you at once for some reason. It also gets extremely difficult really quick, where you aren't even allowed to hit a button at times before you die. The game has a poor story and also has really drawn out dialogue, that really wastes your time, unless you are a fan of tons of sexual references out of nowhere. There were also a few issues in phrasing in the English translation, and there were even some misspellings. Save your time and money.

A neat little beat-em-up style game with cute graphics. There are unlockable characters and multiple challenges for players to throw themselves into and conquer. Another neat feature in this game I do not see a lot of beat-em-ups have is the customization options, which not only affect the appearance of your characters, but their stats and abilities as well. It's a lot of fun to see how far you can survive and put your customization build and beat-em-up abilities to the test! If you like old school beat-em-ups and facing waves upon waves of enemies that increase in difficulty, this is a game to check out for sure! Expand

Croixleur Sigma seems to run out of steam right when you start to get the hang of the gameplay. The presentation is top notch, but there's not much below the surface.

Aaw, Katerina. Heart-warming character design and lightning-fast combat rise the game way above its arena slasher peers. [May 2016]

The developers clearly understand all of the bonus features and metagame elements that a title like this should have, it's just that Croixeur Sigma is a terminally thin product.
