    Screw off Activi$ion. Putting microtransactions into a game after the reviews have been published, yet again!
    I was hesitant to buy this after seeing what happened to black ops 4, but I thought, surely they won't put microtransactions in a remake of a 20 year old game... right?
    Don't buy this game, the new Modern Warfare, or any of their games until they stop this garbage practice.

    Its a faithful remake of a endearing classic. It looks wonderful and has a ton of charm. It also has one huge problem, its difficulty is all over the place. On easy its...well too easy. Switch to medium and suddenly you need to be a drifting god to come anywhere near the first place. And there is no reward here for a second best. Practice makes perfect and game does shine once you get aIts a faithful remake of a endearing classic. It looks wonderful and has a ton of charm.     CTR NF is such a wonderful remaster, I found myself playing it nearly every day. It is a great game, with a rewarding content (microtransactions are completely NOT needed to unlock all of the content availiable; everyone who is giving this game 0 or 1 clearly intends ONLY to 'punish' Activision for adding microtransactions into the game, which, again, are totally optional and notCTR NF is such a wonderful remaster, I found myself playing it nearly every day. It is a great game, with a rewarding content (microtransactions are completely NOT needed to unlock all of the content availiable; everyone who is giving this game 0 or 1 clearly intends ONLY to 'punish' Activision for adding microtransactions into the game, which, again, are totally optional and not necessary). I found myself unlocking 43 characters out of now 50 in rooster and GP each month only give us, players, more tracks and items to play with.     Beenox has put a remarkable patience and care for this remake. Polished graphics and much wider rooseter and tracks choice makes it a wonderful and amazing comeback for Crash. I love it! It's just masterful!

    This game is amazing and wonderful! I really love it! It's challenging and extremely fun in the same time. Once you master it, it's a pure joy worth hours and hours of your time. CTR NF is really a lover letter to all the fans of Crash fans and to kart racing genre as a whole. Everyone who loves kart games should have it as No 1 position in collection.     Even in its basic form, game has worth of 2 beautiful games (31 tracks, 26 characters and variety of customization), but after accessing online content (WITHOUT ANY MICROTRANSACTIONS), you can unlock your roster up to 51 characters, have 40 tracks and so many customization items that give you over 760 MILLION options to create a setup for a kart. I mean how wonderful is that? Speaking of wonder, graphics in this game are superb! It was breathtaking to see intro of Tiger Temple or to jump in Oxide Station! Mechanics are almost like in the original, which gives a player control like in no other racing game. Adventure itself and some challenges are like they should be – challenging. I admit that some of them may require multiple tries to succeed, but rewards for trying are indeed great. Not only racing is great in CTRNF, it also have multiple battle modes when you can play with your friends in setup that you have chosen.

    A lot of kart racing games came out in 2019: Team Sonic Racing, Mario Kart Tour, Garfield Kart 2 and Race with Ryan. But coming in first place is the CTR remake! This game stands out from the rest as it keeps on growing and growing with more characters and tracks, so many features and modes, and tight gameplay. Truly worthy of the Game Awards trophy!

Now, CTR NF has 51 playable characters, nearly 5o different kart bodies, nearly 200 different paintjobs, many, many stickers and many many more content. Really, this game has the widest customization posibilities fom any other racingThis Game is AMAZING! Don't believe those who say that microtransactions are everywhere and there are 0 customization posibilities. No! That's just not true! Now, CTR NF has 51 playable characters, nearly 5o different kart bodies, nearly 200 different paintjobs, many, many stickers and many many more content. Really, this game has the widest customization posibilities fom any other racing game, and it's still growing. And no, microtransactions are NOT needed to unlock all these item, if you play during a wumpa time (weekends at certain hours) you can win up to 1000 wumpa coins for a SINGLE RACE. Most expensive items cost 2500 wumpa coins, so that means to unlock a legendary item you need to win 3 races (online match). It's sad to see microtransactions at all in this game, but they are tottaly avoidable and really, you MUST put some effort to even FIND a place where those microtransactions are. For the first time in any racing game there is an adventure mode, it’s really fun with awesome cutscenes and missions with good bosses to face against. This game has a total of 30+ tracks which is insane, withCrash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is a remake to one of the best racing game and also kinda of a remake to another crash racing game with its satisfying gameplay tracks and characters. For the first time in any racing game there is an adventure mode, it’s really fun with awesome cutscenes and missions with good bosses to face against. This game has a total of 30+ tracks which is insane, with also a total of 25+ characters and they are all unique so are the tracks. The gameplay is so rewarding by the second, it really feels like an amazing celebration to Crash Bandicoot and respects it dearly. The pit stop is not the best shop but it does it’s job with amazing customization to your characters and karts, also the online does work and when does it’s great but when it doesn’t good luck. Even with these “issues” Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is the best racing game ever made, it’s just so satisfying to do anything in this game! (A Masterpiece 5/5) You Must Play It!… Expand

    The best karting game ever made new for the last generation. Simply love the work made. It feels diferent from the original but stills have the escence of it. Now you have to relearn the timing on the tracks and its something i love it because is not just repeating the same experience.     El remaster supero por completo las espectativas que tenia, Beenox supo muy bien recrear las pistas.
    El sistema de turbos y dificultad se siente como en la version de 1999, es un juego facil de tomar las mecanicas pero dificiles de dominar y es lo que te motiva a jugar y jugar hasta darte cuenta que te enamoras del juego.

    I'm going to be honest, beating Oxide again made me tear up a bit.
    The original CTR is the best kart racer ever made, and somehow Beenox and all of their contributors have crafted an even better version of this absolute gem (no pun intended).

Then, when i played original Crash Team Racing, i understood why everybody were in love with her: precise control, feel of speed, beautiful track design and soundtrack. So, imagine that Beenox managed to take the best parts of each of those games and accelerated it to the maximum. I had soThe first game i've ever played was a Crash Nitro Kart and very much like it, it was very fun for me. Then, when i played original Crash Team Racing, i understood why everybody were in love with her: precise control, feel of speed, beautiful track design and soundtrack. So, imagine that Beenox managed to take the best parts of each of those games and accelerated it to the maximum. I had so much fun, while i played by myself. 10/10. Also, i really like "mirror" track system. It really makes your favourite track feels like a new one. The last thing i want to say that I don't really understand why some people whine due to complexity. It's a game! They can be difficult and you just need to improve your skills.     A perfect remaster. Sure it won't get the praise of Mario Kart casual players so easely, but once they put their time into it, satisfaction is guaranteed. A true jewel and a love letter to the franchise. Congratulations to Beenox for this outstanding work. This is the best kart racer ever.

    Having so much fun with this game! Medium level is challenging so if it's too much for you play on easy until you get the hang of the game and the tracks. I made two saves files, one set on easy and one on medium so I can switch back and forth depending on my mood or too see if I've gotten better and can beat the .medium level.

    "Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled" was a video game that every lover of nostalgia and childhood games wanted to have, now with a very good design improved by remastering, more tracks, car designs and more characters to unlock the experience feels more complete, a point in favor of nostalgia.

There is a lot of new content while maintaining the same essence: new tracks, new characters, new modes, more options for the Adventure, online mode... If you loved any of the PS1 or PS2 ear games you WILL enjoy this fully, plain and simple. It falls short of perfection as an overall title by the lack of new ideas that should have been prominent in discussions during development. NotA flawless remaster (not counting bugs let's be fair) of a beloved PS1 game. It sounds like CTR, it plays like CTR and most importantly it FEELS like CTR. If you loved any of the PS1 or PS2 ear games you WILL enjoy this fully, plain and simple. It falls short of perfection as an overall title by the lack of new ideas that should have been prominent in discussions during development. Not restricting certain characters to certain driving styles, the inclusions of an online ranked mode without weapons and some overall weapon RNG balancing would have made it 10/10.… Expand

    CTR: Nitro Fueled, es mas que un buen remake, ya que, además de imitar lo mismo que se realizó en la entrega de PS1, mejoró con creces diversos aspectos que si bien son detalles, en su conjunto cambian la totalidad de la experiencia de juego. El apartado gráfico, además de mejorar las texturas de los mapas y personajes que disfrutábamos en la entrega original, genera una sensación deCTR: Nitro Fueled, es mas que un buen remake, ya que, además de imitar lo mismo que se realizó en la entrega de PS1, mejoró con creces diversos aspectos que si bien son detalles, en su conjunto cambian la totalidad de la experiencia de juego. El apartado gráfico, además de mejorar las texturas de los mapas y personajes que disfrutábamos en la entrega original, genera una sensación de velocidad visual que no se encuentra en cualquier juego de carreras generando una especie de adrenalina en el jugador sobre todo cuando estas en carreras competitivas y reñidas tanto en el modo en línea como en el modo difícil (el cual es bastante desafiante).

    Por otra parte la inclusión de contenido desbloqueable gratuito le da más personalidad al personaje y vehículo que estas utilizando y los distintos desafíos que presenta el juego sumado a los diferentes modos de juegos incluidos te da siempre algo que hacer dentro del juego.

    El modo historia sigue siendo el mismo que en la play station lo que a mi gusto es perfecto, ya que, personalmente, miedo que cambiaran este aspecto que en su época lo hacía tan especial.    … Expand

    The game is full of Nostalgia. The Characters are all over the top you unlock the original cast just like you did in the past. For PentaPinguin you have to use the same cheat code like in the original and the tracks are so full of love.
    Beenox is constantly updating the game and fixed unintended shortcuts for a smoother Online-experience.
    You have 4 different time trial ghosts to race against. N.Tropy (that's like playing the game on hard mode, and it is the weakest of the ghosts)
    Oxide (that's for well advanced players that understand how the game works), ImperatorVelo (that's for cracks who want to push their limits to the extreme) and then there are developer times, which are the hardest and will make you question your life decisions and i love it.
    The game does feel different to the original at first but it has so many QOL changes that i don't want them to be gone from CrashRacing games ever again.
    You can play with any character now and are not bound to this characters original driving engine, this changes a lot and means you have the freedom of choice.
    Some of the tracks collisions are still not perfect and the invisible jumping walls happen far too often when going at ultra speed. But thats whe you already played the game for a serious long time, before that you don't even know that this exists.
    Beenox added a game mode called RingRace, this is the perfect training for the game and is comparable to WipeOuts Zone Mode (but with a little twist) You need to hit the rings, which are getting smaller, and if you miss out on too many the race ends. But the speed you obtain is outer-worldly and you do a lap in 15 seconds and see the true power of CTR's handling and mechanics, these unique mechanics are in no other game and this makes the game my top kart-racing game of all time.
    The Pitstop is a bit random, but has nothing to do with how the game plays, you can purchase skins and karts via ingame currency. But, everything in the PitStop is optional and even without these skins and items the game would still be my fav. racing game. It didn't need to have so many purchasable objects but they are in and are nice to have.    … Expand

    Really needed a game like this in PS4. Best kart racing game available in the platform. Amazing designs, great handling and lots of content. Future DLC tracks free as well, which is great.

    I'm so happy that this his out! My muscle memory from 20 years ago is still here! I thourghly enjoy thrashing the newer players online since I know exactly how to play this game from the get-go!

    After Team Sonic Racing, here's another kart racing game in 2019. And unsurprisingly, some are hesitant whether to buy Team Sonic Racing or this game. Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is a remake and not a remastered version of the title that came out more than 19 years ago for PS1, and is developed by Beenox, producer who developed some Spider-Man games in the previous generation, as well as was responsible by the remastering of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

    What about the first impressions of this game? As soon as I started running on the track "Crash Cove", throwing power ups in a dirty way for our opponents and listening to the remixed music, I said this soon: "Ah, I'm back to 1999." The gameplay is smooth and intuitive , but at the same time challenging due to the boost system through power sliding. Of course, in this Nitro-Fueled there were not only visual changes and scenarios. Dynamic animations have also been added to the characters and more objects around the tracks to make them even funnier and more alive. In addition, the game has as a positive point the tracks and arenas of the not very famous Crash Nitro Kart. For those who played this classic title, some anti-gravity sections of certain tracks had to be modified or removed, because in this Nitro-Fueled we used only land vehicles.

    In adventure mode we have two choices at the beginning: Nitro-Fueled or Classic. In Nitro-Fueled mode, we can choose difficulty (Easy, Medium and Hard), change car or character at any time on the map, as well as we can customize them. Winning trophies, relics, CTR coins, gems and defeating bosses are things we will do in adventure mode. Each time we win an event, we gain, in addition to skins and characters, Wumpa Coins that can be used in pit stop. Too bad that offline events don't offer as many Wumpa Coins as online events. I also didn't like the work of John Dimaggio, who did with Uka Uka's voice on this Nitro-Fueled, compared to Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

    If you've ever owned or played the original Crash Racing games, this is a must buy. Not only is it a clean and action packed kart racer but has tons of content to keep you crashing and have "Oogida Boogida" stuck in your head for hours upon hours. Developers promise more free tracks, carts, characters etc. so this is well worth the purchase price.

    Activision presents another smashing blast from the past! Yes they did it again, they remade an old but gold game which we loved as a kid when growing up. They brought in a refreshing touch while the option to keep it all classic is still there. CTR will keep you young at heart and will give you hours of fun, even when you are done with adventure mode, there is still the online part to explore.

    All my childhood in a game....i have no words...after 20 years i can feel the same nostalgia playing with my sister together again it awakens so many memories as 90's kids!!!Definetely gonna spend hours and hours playing....waiting for crash bash remake!

    Well through the adventure mode and up to the last boss. Very fun game and every race is different and unpredictable. You can come first with no problems one race then sink to last place because you've been hit by a million missiles the next race.     Noobs to the series should start on the Easy difficulty because there is a steep jump from Easy to Medium which I'm at atm. You can unlock new skins for every racer through wins and CTR tokens or you can purchase them with in game currency (no real money is needed to unlock).

    Online right now is broken. I couldn't find any games at all, hopefully they will fix with ranking matches and leagues in the near future. Hope they create online teams (guilds/clans) where you can rack up points for your team through races.

    There are many tracks included all themed on the Crash series. Similar layout to Mario Kart with power ups, turbo pads and jumps. You can get additional turbo boosts from higher jumps and drift combos.

    All characters from the Crash series are here, some have to be unlocked. All have their funny animations and one liners. My kids love Pura and Polar the best.

    Overall a fun action filled game to play with family split screen atm until they fix the online issues.

    It's a 7 due to this issues but I'll know it'll be ironed out soon so I'll give it a 8.    … Expand

But don't let that get you down, This is a triumph, I urge everyone who has ever loved kart racers to give this a go, and the Mario kart fans especially have to give this a chance because it is in many ways superior, and rewards good players for usr of skill, and punishes you less with random crate power ups, and the speed of races increases as you get better at the game and chaining turbos and learning the tracks, etc - thankyou everyone who worked on this game! It is amazing!

    Purchased on day 1, and can't stop playing whether solo or in 4-player local coop. It pushes you to refine your reflexes and insanely fun at the same time. Difficulty and challenges are not frustrating, and the mechanics are quite easy to adapt to.

    Had to rate it down to 9 due to a bug which remains unfixed.

    Probably the best remake of all time for the best kart game of all time!
    The graphics are so good,the gameplay feels like the 99' CTR we all played when we were kids and unlike MK actually requires skill! The online however start lagging at 6/7 PM till 8/9 and i mean lagging a lot. Overall still a great game.

Also keep in mind that in a developer interview, it was CLEARLY stated this game would be free of micro-transactions. So the dev was either completely out of the loop or he was lying through his teeth. Activision is very crafty-they figured they could avoid negative press at launch by waiting until reviews come in before deciding to implement micro-transactions; thankfully, many of us have caught wind of this tactic and are calling them out on their bs.

    Yes, I know that "Wumpa coins" can still be earned by grinding through the various game modes, but they are dispersed at a slow rate for offline users (I don't pay for PS plus, but apparently the coin dispersal amount is higher). And by the time you actually rack up enough coins, the costume/kart/character that you had your eye on will have most likely disappeared for the month since with the addition of the "grand prix", prizes are rotated every month. This means there is a higher chance desperate gamers will give in and whip out their credit cards.

    The video game industry is undoubtedly the biggest it's ever been. And I get that developers work hard and deserve to get paid. But, microtransactions are just pure greed. You ARE NOT paying for new content. The data for the skins/weapons etc are in the game's files. At least some companies like Nintendo charge for DLC that's separate from the base game and that were developed after the game's release.

    Ultimately, this game is a lot of fun and is a pretty solid kart racer to play with friends. But, when it comes to unlockables, this game is a total grindfest. Again, I hate to give this game a low score when most of it is done so well, but it's more about sending a message to Activision and any other money-milking company out there.    … Expand

What a fun time that was. Anyway, the news of Crash's return had gotten me excited, and I was so happy when I finally got to play and beat the "N. Sane Trilogy" and I was so excited with how faithful the remakes were. And after that game came out and became a huge hit, there was just one more thing everyone seemed to be clamoring for: a "Spyro" remake. Wait...okay, there were two things, because we got the "Spyro Reignited Trilogy," but there was another thing that was asked for quite often: a "Crash Team Racing" remake. And why not? Even if I wasn't madly in love with the original title, it was certainly a nice game and it was also Naughty Dog's final entry in the "Crash" series, why not go out with a bang? You remade the first three games, why not just remake the last one for the hell of it? Plus, it might be fun to re-experience the game, so about it, Activision? Well, they made it happen, and decided to give us a little more than we expected: not only did they remake "Crash Team Racing," but they added basically all of the content from "Crash Nitro Kart" as well as some content from "Crash Tag Team Racing." Talk about love in a remake.
    "Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled," as I mentioned, is a huge game: the main story mode won't take you too long (I beat the main story in about 4 hours spread across 2 sittings in one day), but completing the bare minimum only accounts for about 38% of the story mode, given that there are so many challenges and relics to collect, and again, the game gives you essentially all the content from "Crash Nitro Kart," meaning that there is still plenty of game here. But for all the content in the game, is it fun? Absolutely. "Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled" is a fast-paced, rip-roaring time that's smooth, beautifully-designed, challenging, and interesting to control. The game's drift mechanic might take you some getting used to, but once you get it down, the game just becomes that much faster and more exciting. It's also great to see that this is a remaster that so perfectly captures how "Crash" as a series is supposed to look and sound, and beyond the aesthetic and sonic bells and whistles, it's great that it brings the game to a modern era with necessary changes while not forgetting what the original game was.
    Unfortunately, this remaster (or "Remaster Plus," if you will) is not without a few drawbacks: for starters, much like the "N. Sane Trilogy," load times can be a little on the long side here. They're not the worst in regards to video game loading times, but they're certainly nothing too great. Beyond that, while the main story mode is varied and fun in spite of its short length, the difficulty spikes can be a bit frustrating. Sometimes you'll get a really easy level after an extremely challenging one, and it feels like the difficulty wasn't balanced all that well (and don't get me started on some of the boss battles). Also, this isn't a huge criticism, but I would say that, if you're new to kart racers or haven't gotten into them, this one could be kinda difficult to get into because of the handling and the drift controls. They're challenging and work well once you get them down, but you might want to start with a slightly easier kart game before jumping head-first into this one.
    Still, whether you're just a fan of kart racers or someone that loves the "Crash" games, "Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled" is a remake/remaster done right, and it's an amazing love-letter to the "Crash" racers of yesteryear. It brings them into the modern era in a beautiful way, and if you were heavily anticipating this game (like I was), you won't be disappointed. Activision, you guys did a rock-solid job with these remakes, and now that Crash is back for a new generation, perhaps it may be time for a new wholly original "Crash" game. How about it?

    Absolutely fantastic, except for the hitbox in the relics trials. Damn them! But the game is absolutely everything we ever wanted and needed, and the fact that they planned more original tracks, players and contents coming through the next months is amazing. I love it.

    Play the sh*t outta this, no really its awesome

    Microtransactions aren't great, but the base game is awesome enough and offers enough stuff to do that it becomes a small blemish on an otherwise top-game! Also Grand Prix events so far have been pretty damn amazing...

    Its a great remake and it have a nice experience of nostalgia, reminding the old days. I think the oxide's ghosts is easier now, but its still a challenge if you dont master the game. Even with Microtransactions, I recommend it, because you dont really need to buy wumpa coins and you still can unlock things by playing. There's no advantage in use money

    O game peca em rodar a 30 FPS em todas as plataformas incluindo o Xbox One X, alguns bugs como paredes invisíveis principalmente, mas o principal defeito é na parte online do game, na qual se perde mais tempo no Lobby esperando e buscando partida do que correndo, isso sem falar na falta de opções de modo de jogo, pois é apenas corrida padrão e não se pode customizar o tipo da corrida, nem fazer campeonatos e etc. Além desses problemas foi prometido que o game não teria microtransações, mas meses depois acabou chegando ao game a opção de comprar moedas no game com dinheiro real, o que na verdade não é um problema pois é possível farmar bem essa moeda, o problema maior é eles venderem o Kart Firehawk pra vários lugares e não disponibilizá-lo na PSN BR, e também tem um kart inteiro exclusivo de promoções de Trident/Sour Patch nos EUA, faltando com respeito aos jogadores de outros países.

    Pra compensar todos esses defeitos o game trouxe algo incrível, todo mês ocorre os Grand Prix, eventos esses que adicionam ao game novos personagens, pistas, itens, skins e etc. O game ultrapassou a marca de 50 personagens jogáveis, e dentro disso a Beenox mostrou realmente entender bastante o que se passa na comunidade de Crash, trouxeram personagens bem queridos e obscuros da franquia Crash, muitos easter eggs, resumindo muito fanservice pra deixar os fãs mais fanáticos loucos, os caras deram vida a personagens que só apareceram em jogo de GBA, celular e até em concept art. O suporte em conteúdo que eles estão dando pro game mensalmente é algo surreal, games de corrida do Sonic e principalmente do Mario nunca receberam um tratamento desses.

    Com isso CTR Nitro Fueled não é apenas um game de corrida de Crash, mas sim uma grande celebração da franquia Crash, e espero que futuramente venha um modo pra podermos visualizarmos os modelos dos personagens e ler informações sobre eles, como quem são e onde apareceram, pois muita gente não conhece todo o universo de Crash e conhece apenas os 3 primeiros games.    … Expand

    Bought it since I've never played it all 20 years ago and just for the story mode which was a lot of fun and pretty challenging. It is a great remake of a classic, but I have to give it a 6 out of 10 just because of Activision shoving in microtransactions weeks after launch. Was interested in playing this game online, but now I clearly see a reason not to get involved. It's such a shame.

However, the game was designed from the ground up to be a grindfest unless you make a bunch of microtransactions to buy Wumpa coins, which really isn't appropriate for a full-price game marketed to children and nostalgia lovers.     I'm very sad. This game is amazing. It makes me relive the old days. But now, they are basically adding micro transactions to the game. Activision lied(again), telling the consumers that they wouldn't do this. It's pure fraud and they should be ashamed of themselves.

    All in all, I can't recommend it to anyone anymore unless they remove these micro transactions.

    Never played team racing but love nitro cart to death, amazing game for those who grew-up with it. And no, it's nothing like diddy kong racing don't even compare. Both games are good in their own right.

    You know, I thought that this game was great before. But now after they allowed 'Wumpa Coins' to be bought with real money? This game is perfect! Now I can finally relive my nostalgia while also spending real life currency on digital items that should be only earnable for those that worked for them. It's a dream come true.

    Regarding gameplay and graphics CTR is a beast, just like it was on PS1. Activison practices which are well Activision. 9,5/10 for a game but because of Acitvision stuff I lower it to an 8. Still a very good game, excellent if you disregard mtx

    Vaya titulazo con mayúsculas, uno de los juegos de carreras más frenéticos de los últimos tiempos. Mantiene toda la esencia del original y se amplía incluyendo circuitos y personajes tanto de otras obras de Crash como del universo Activision en general. Divertido a más no poder, tanto para pasar un buen rato en solitario o con amigos.

    CTR Nitro Fueled is a faithful and lovingly made recreation of the original classic on PS1, something most fans of the original can agree on. The controls are spot on, the visuals are gorgeous, and all the charm and magic of the original is there. Furthermore, Beenox went above and beyond what would be expected of them for a remaster: they didn't need to add all of the tracks and characters from the game's sequel: Nitro Kart, or to finally make Oxide a playable character, or to add six months of content updates long after launch. All of these make the game better than could've been expected, and add life and longevity to a game that otherwise would've died online soon after launch.

    Not to mention the fact that content updates have consistently addressed issues with the game: things like adding the wumpa coin bonus offline after fans asked for it, implementing engine swap to make all characters online viable at last, and many bug and shortcut fixes all come to mind.

    While adding microtransactions after launch was an undeniably shady move, and yes the game can feel grindy at times, all of the content from the original game, and much more, is available right there from the start without any requirement to unlock, meaning fans of the original will find the game they remember from the getgo, and can then dive into the game's online and grand prix modes at their leisure.

    Make no mistake, while not perfect, CTR: Nitro Fueled is an excellent and content-rich remaster that has only gotten better over time: Beenox deserves full credit for the great work they have put in, and I'm writing this review to let you all know the truth: that this is a great game and one you should take a look at.    … Expand

    A really enjoyable game. I'm a Mario Kart veteran, and when i decided to get this game i was unsure if this would be as good. Luckly it is, and honestly it is a nice change of pace from Mariokart. I think this game is more of a technical karting game, and requires more thought and skill than Mario Kart; the drifting in this especially takes time to catch on to. The tracks are sublime, andA really enjoyable game. I'm a Mario Kart veteran, and when i decided to get this game i was unsure if this would be as good. Luckly it is, and honestly it is a nice change of pace from Mariokart.     Nostalgia might well have carried this one through, but in truth it doesn’t need it: this is a great game that has for the most part aged remarkably well, with the visual upgrade and other tweaks serving to make absolutely certain it’s worth the price of admission; I just wish the AI didn’t sometimes feel so cheap. It’s rare that a game can be as good as it was 20 years ago in a modern re-release – but this classic kart racer manages it.

    Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is just about perfect at what it’s trying to do. The redone adventure mode is a blast minus the grind required to get coins to unlock stuff, and the core gameplay has been refined. This results in the best-playing Crash racing game ever and yet another top-shelf kart racer. Right now, the genre is as big as it’s been in 20 years, with Sonic, Mario, and Crash all competing at stores and the best thing for players is that you can’t go wrong with any of them. Crash offers up a tremendous game overall and it’s definitely an experience I would put above Team Sonic Racing, but ever so slightly behind Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

    Crash Bandicoot and company return to the track driving their karts, now completely remodeled and ready to compete in the current generation of consoles. A title a little demanding but very beautiful, totally recommended to play with friends and relive those wonderful moments of our childhood.
