    Trash game, pointless spy stuff. One of the last missions they make you redo the same boring part 4 times! Who wants to run through the same boring garbage 4 times in a row to beat a mission?! This game is absolute trash.

    3 years down the line this game stands as the best cod multiplayer of modern cod, amazing maps, fantastic zombies mode, a good movement mechanism, good ranked and competitive modes, fun to play, a decent campaign and yeah that's just it. It's amazing what they were able to do with COVID going on, Treyarch being given the project halfway through, rushing to out and still being good.

    The campaign is the best! I really enjoyed and play with a great pleasure! And I like that developers focused on so many details of gear in the game. Great job! I like this game much more than MW2 2022.

Ive since deleted this pile of crap and will never ever buy a call of duty gamw again. Now other problems i had b4 it currepted everythung is you can't skip cutscenes or any talking scenes at all and they are loooooong af. Game play is ok when you get to play but it ruined by them not letting you skip. This is all campaign that I'm upset about oh and good luck on the loading bc wow does ot suck. I done know how that is on a downloaded game. I cant speak for the multi player but if its like the campaign then buckle up bc this game sucks… Expand

    Call of Duty Cold War is a typical COD from Treyarch. I can only appreciate singlepeer. Multiplayer, as usual, did not surprise with anything and can hold for a couple of dozen hours. But the PS4 version clearly does not pull the capabilities of multiplayer. What touches the single player, it's very good. I advise everyone to play on PS Plus or if later added to the Game Pass on Xbox. On PS4 Pro, the game looks pale, I advise you to still play on the current generation.… Expand

    I only played the campaign, which was a blast and the graphics look amazing for the most part. The game has so many different nice looking locations to offer, although it mostly consists of just shooting, there are some great stealth missions too. Sometimes the game even allows you to approach a certain situation in different ways and gives you options too. Super short, annoying enemy placement on some levels, the memory crap drags on too long and got kinda annoying after the 3rd loop, slow a ss load times on top of that if you chose to stay a good guy you just die at the end the other ending is much better, tho i think having the choice of which side should have happen much sooner in the game around the mid part of the game then after picking a side have a few missions rather then having the player pick a side followed by one quick mission at the end of the game, the choice would matter more if it had a impact on the actual story and not just the ending.… Expand

    the multiplayer is the worst, most unfinished multiplayer ever. the weapon balance is EXTREMELY off. the maps are abosulte trash, there is an extreme lack of content, and the SKILL BASED MATCH MAKING makes the game extremely sweat and very unplayable.

    The zombies is very enjoyable and the campaign is great. those are the only redeeming qualities

    Campain is maybe the best we ever had. Zombie mode is ok but i'm no big fan of the zombie mode in newer cods. The multiplayer is so underrated. Everybody hates it but I think it was the best one from the last 4 games. The killstreaks and SBMM are annoying but it still makes fun to play with your friends. The new mode vip escorte was one of the best modes ever.

    Solid enough entry. Campaign is interesting and Zombies is the best it's ever been (and usually they're bland and sub par). Poor matchmaking, frequent game crashes and matchmaking issues really takes the wind out of the games sails.

    Top Feuergefecht war auch hier mein hauptspiel im Mehrspieler aber der zombie modus ist einer der besten seit cod black ops 2 hier habe ich mehr Zeit verbracht als im Mehrspieler modus weil es einfach nur sehr gut ist und es mehr Spaß macht als Mehrspieler wo jeder 2. Spiele nur campt und nichts kann außer zu gammeln und anderen den Spaß zu ruinieren

    For this game being on PS4, the Activision developers have really outdone themselves with the story. Though, for the story got confusing during the half-way point. Graphics are amazing and sound design is great. I would recommend for a quick play-through.

Multiplayer is also very buggy, textures loading very slow so most of the game it's blurry and ugly. Even objects geometry takes time to load. It's just terrible. Zombies also suffer from textures popup and in addition framerate dips drastically. That's the last COD I bought. I payed forCold War on PS4 is awful. Feels like beta.     The best Cod game in the last 2 years. Great story, very very good characters. Also, a great twist at the end too. I hope that they keep doing this kind of stories. I didn't play the multiplayer though. So I can't say anything about it. The only problem I have with it is the anti Russia propaganda. I hate the fact that they always make Russia the bad guy.

    Ten steps back from Modern Warfare. Every single gun feels the same, the campaign is almost identical to the first Black Ops with an anticlimactic ending and it is literally the first CoD to make me despise every second of the multiplayer. It feels like a mobile game. Definitely don't buy this if you want to remember the black ops series in a good light.

Nothing has really changed much tbh. BO feels faster I guess I could say and there is fun to be had in multiplayer online, but after a while it just becomes monotonous.     Very boring and not engaging campaign. Except KGB infiltration mission. Main plot is dull and not interesting. It's very short but that is actually plus of this campaign. Characters are boring as well. Last mission at first was kinda fun but it came out irritating and badly designed.     Um belo jogo! Campanha muito boa e surpreendente, me rendeu muitas horas de entretenimento, não me deparei com nenhum bug. O online é bom, muitas opções de jogatina, mesma coisa do zombies, recomendo com todas as forças.

    One of the first games I have pre-orderd in a while and I was very disappointed.

    The game feels and handles like the first black ops game (2010) which after being treated to Morden warfare my expectations where so much higher.

    The change up of the zombies was nice but that alone could not justify the game for me so in the end I had to refund

    Gioco che si salva solo per la campagna che comunque non è eccellente. La modalità on-Line è scandalosamente buggata e la grafica è pari a quella di un gioco di 5 anni fa, le mappe sono rivisitate in maniera mediocre. Gioco non degno del nome che porta.

    Hit detection is a joke. SBMM its more like skill based hit detection. Have countless videos of me pumping 20 rounds from assault rifles into guys faces only to have them walk it off. Then get shot with 2 bullets from a assault rifle and it drops me to 0 hp. it honestly feels like only 1/3 of my bullets register where the other guy drops me with a 1/3 of the bullets needed to get a kill. The standard skins for the operators are booooring as hell. Take a look at the skins for the specialist in BO3. Those were cool and for free (btw everything a said about the skins also goes for the weapon camoes. They are boooooooring as hell. Where are the reactive, ultra, super-duper, hot, fancy, cool camoes from BO4?? In the Battle-Pass? Where are the cool camoes for the players who do not want to spend some extra money.     Broken weapons that were implemented several months ago and to this day are still broken and they don't nerf them. or even if they were nerfed, but the nerf did nothing. (Diamatti Pistol, FFAR Assault Rifle).

    The map design of Black ops: Cold War is terrible. The only good maps are the maps from previous Call of Duty games (Most of Black ops 2).
    Maps like Miami, Garrison, Crossroads, The Pines. They are some of the worst originals that the game has. It has too many places to hide, to camp, or the map design for rushing is horrible.

    The optimization of the game is horrible ON ALL PLATFORMS.
    On PC you always have to download the shaders that even though they weigh little, they take light years to download.

    In addition to sudden lag, textures take a long time to load or don't load at all.

    Problems that also occur in the Console versions (Playstation and Xbox).

    The game has horrible animations, movements that seem more robotic than human and that in addition much do not make sense, as would be the majority of animations of impeccion of weapons (Impeccate the Magnum of 12 bullets but that the model of the weapon continues having 6).

    This game was not made with love, is poorly optimized, and has a lousy balancing. Very badly polished.

    This game should not even jokingly cost $59.99. It is overpriced for an incomplete and poorly polished game.

    This review as I said was more about Multiplayer and talking about the campaign, honestly it's a very good campaign, it's not exactly as it was sold (Decisions that will change the ending).
    But it was not lousy, a very good campaign that is accompanied by an excellent soundtrack.

    Speaking of zombies, it's very... Mediocre to decent, the game has such a weird HUD for a zombie mode that it looks more like a mini-game of Warzone than a zombie characteristic of the saga. And the game is almost too easy but if it becomes not difficult, but unfair (Zombies that respawn out of nowhere in the face blocking the passage, zombies that have too much range to hit the player) and also the maps are disappointing, they are just recycled from other maps or are taken directly from the campaign.

    The zombies have a 4.5/10.

    The game is not recommended at all, if so. Just had the price it deserves ($10 lmao) it would be worth something.

    non sono un intenditore di cod, ma questo mi è piaciuto abbastanza, sopratutto la storia con le varie ambientazione e la lotta russi contro americani è stata divertente, emozionante e appagante, il multiplayer niente di che, come al solito non molto differente dai cod precedenti, tutto sommato un gioco niente male.

I only play zombies but it always seems to crash at the perfect times when I'm high rounds. I gave this game plenty of chances from the release date to fix their **** but they just switch focus and use the resources to make the next installment and warzone instead of finishing the game.     It gets a 1 because the graphics, but the balancing in this game is just ass. It pairs you with much better players than players on your level, So skillbased matchmaking has ruined cod forever for me. It's just not fun. Bring it back to mw2/black ops 1/2 era..

    Fun is just non existent in this game.

    I really like the more realistic game that came right before this, (Modern Warfare). This game is doodoo , but fun and pretty if you just want unrealistic run and gun game play. I'll just keep playing MW.

    Buggy as **** in too many areas, especially with the settings. I stopped buyin' Call of Duty games until recently, but no more after Snorezone and Cold Bore.

    Such a great game. Been playing until i got to first prestige befor i wrote a review for the game. Had a blast playing with friends in TDM, Kill confirm and many others. Zombies is better than ever and the weaponds in the game are so fun to use! Although i miss the kill streaks they still did a ok job with the scorestreaks except for when there is a camper sitting somewhere in a corner.Such a great game.     And finally zombies. To begin with, is fun but there is a problem and is the lack of "personality" and contain. Die Maschine, the first zombies map in this game is a good introduction to the way this game will play, is very simple and the setting is good but it's "personality" itsn't as remarked as previous maps and becomes a little boring. It's not a top tier map but is not bad either. Now Firebase Z, at first is very similar with DM but the problems with DM are even worst in this one, it's lacks "personality" even more so becomes boring even faster than DM, so more of the same. Then we have Outbreak, which is very slow in my opinion (only is worth for the weapon xp). And finally, Mauer der toten, the best map in this game till date but this map was 5 months on development so it's probally the last round-based map in this games which sucks but it's above average unlike it's two predeccessors and plays well, but that's everything.

    Campaign is Awesome. I honestly love this campaign.
    Multiplayer could be better, but is still a lot of fun.
    Zombies is pretty good.
    I know they are fixed now, but having so many crashing problems at launch isn't very forgivable, so it gets knocked down a bit by that, but overall a good game.

    - Multiplayer: feels very arcade, I like it.
    - Zombies: I'm in love with outbreak.

    Then, why a 6? Because you MUST be always connected, even if you are playing campaign. WTF, Activision? I constantly get online crashes playing solo in zombies! LET ME JUST PLAY!

    Awful gameplay after MW. Hit detection is awful and 'invisible rounded off corners' are rampant. Verticality is really not intuitive with the map design not having a consistent indicator for clickable surfaces.

    Player models are really hard to detect and the colour palette is just noise.

    Really disappointed with this entry.

    I would give this game a 10 out of 10 but people on headsets are ruining the multiplayer. It's not fair that I have to play a team of people communicating on headsets when I play by myself. It's degrading, and trust me I'm a very skilled player, but it just sucks all the fun out of the game to always have to deal with these people rushing you 4 on one, etc. They need to put in aI would give this game a 10 out of 10 but people on headsets are ruining the multiplayer. My most recent glitches are that I can't unlock weapons through challenges and last outbreak I played the sound just stopped working (this is a big deal if I'm playing 3 hours in to try and beat the boss only to be cruched by this). Its a constant fight for head glitches and camp spots because no body wants to use the terrible, clunky movement and get insta-killed by the god awfully op weapons. People who are not good at the game choose to sit in one spot and aim down sight which gives them an advantage; however, with these weapons it seems that camping has become the meta, and its boring for the good players who want to actually have a fun, casual experience. During the gameplay, i noticed i had zero time to react when getting shot at and I would just die. This was mostly to campers who would sit and wait at a doorway or corner so by the time you saw them and put your gun up or aim down the sights you are already dead. Not to mention half of the people i play against camp. i only actively see 2-3 people actually playing toward the goal of the game such as domination or hardpoint and that makes it really hard to have fun. Anyways, back to skill based matchmaking, one of the worst things to come to COD ever. In cold war they make it so you verse people you would get a 1.00 KD against. And there is the problem, right there. When I actually have fun playing its when i get a good KD or am playing with friends and winning games. Cold war literally tries to keep your KD down to be “fair to other players”. They stripped the fun from the game to make it more fair. That is honestly the dumbest thing I've heard in all of video games. The point of playing is to have fun and enjoy being good at something but cold war takes this away from its users which is why I rate it the worst cod of all time by far. In addition, the devs rushed this game like no other. The bugs and glitches are everywhere and to some extent makes the game unplayable. Treyarch needs to re-evaluate their purpose (which is to entertain, not scam us all out of 60$) and do better next cod because I will not buy another game with skill based matchmaking and dynamic nerfing that comes with a whole sleuth of bugs and glitches. This game could have been made back in the early 2000s, and it should have been worth 10$. F for effort… Expand

    Bad servers, bad netcode and full of hackers. Campaign was fine. Keep seeing intrusive ads for this on Modern Warfare which is 100x better than this turd of a game. Ironically has more campers than Modern Warfare especially in Nuketown.

Incredibly poor stability, overuse of computer resources, extremely poor Nvidia integration leading to large reliance on driver updates, far too many updates required to fix this totally unfinished game, very poor network optimisation.     Furthermore, so few wanted to transition from Modern Warfare, that the community is so small and one of the most toxic out there. Skill-based match-making means most of your matches end up with leavers (cowards), as they don't want to hurt their stats. Furthermore, the skill-based match-making makes these toxic players the sweatiest and most intense in-game, yet.

    This is not a fun game, and the devs should honestly feel embarrassed. DON'T BUY! This isn't worth $10 let alone their insane idiot pricing.    … Expand

I thought they would fix it but it appears they are too lazy to fix something people have been complaining about. I will never ever buy another Call of duty game again.     This is by far one of the worst Games i have bought for 60€.
    it usually cashes for me or one of my friends which makes the game unplayable for me.
    they realsease updates that are 50gp+ big almost every 2 weeks so if you ever decided to play this buggy mess of a game then you usually have to first updated it for at least 1hour.

    I DO NOT RECOMAND BUYING THIS GAME

    The game lags and crashes at every opportunity it sees. The giant updates are very obnoxious and are unfortunately very frequent.

    Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ends up mirroring what the Call of Duty franchise offered last year, with some new additions that are also welcome, especially for long-term fans. While being set during a very intense period, the campaign ends up erring for its disappointing longevity, even though the value of repetition is intrinsic to it. Zombies are back in style, while multiplayer gains an excellent new mode, but here it errs again for the arsenal's lack of variety.

    While Cold War is a part of a series I would have said that I loved, I can’t fully embrace it now knowing that this work is trucking in harmful stereotypes via patriotic-tinged gameplay. A decent CoD multiplayer experience will likely emerge from the currently-underwhelming Cold War, but I’m going to seriously consider whether that gameplay is worth enduring (and supporting) the rest.
