This game is what hunting is all about; killing wild animals for no apparent reason. This game is set to auto aim which makes killing massive amounts of animals incredibly easy and there is no first person mode either. You have infinite ammo. Just imagine Splinter Cell/Metal Gear sneaking except not as complex and the Zebras are the bad guys. The animals will come right for you when you activate the mission (just like real hunting) and you have to dodge them or get hurt. Once you finish the story in one area the game will move you to another area. The story is a cliche -- collect all the pieces to an ancient statue. -- the pieces are scattered throughout and have been strategically placed in areas surrounded by dangerous animals. All your character wants is money and has an utter disregard for all life forms. An adventure game set in Africa has potential, but let's be honest, I did not have high expectations of this game when I checked it out at the library, but that's still no excuse for this lazy boring game. If you like the Cabela games, you will find this one another fun one to add to the collection. Although there is nothing groundbreaking in the game that you may not have seen before on other Cabela titles, it is still a fun game with decent graphics; and that is what gaming is all about, fun.

The story mode does offer a few different twists, and the shooting gallery/challenges are also

First things first - this game is pure trash. And I love it! It's like watching a 80's creature-feature b-movie. Cheesy, campy fun. I won't deny it, the graphics are okay at best, the driving ist plain bad, the cutscenes are hilarious (misogynist comments and racism are all over the place) and you basiclly kill every endangered animal on the planet. But like EDF, Carmageddon and Godzilla I had some very funny hours with it. Killing tons of lions, elephants and whatnot i slow-mo with unlimited ammo brings me back to the times when i started gaming as a kid. It's refreshing to play something that is not a calculated, morally-correct Triple-A Blockbuster. I have nothing to do with hunting, would never kill an animal but just love blasting through Africa with my shotgun. That's what games are for - to do stuff you never would in real life. If you love 80's action and horror-movies and silly video games - go for it! But don't pay more than 15$ - it's on sale all the time. Expand
