If you're a fan of light gun shooters like time crisis, ghost squad and even the umbrella chronicles this is a must buy. The DS4 works well with the motion controls and even though the game contains plenty of toilet humour it is indeed lots of fun.
If you have never liked on rail shooters then avoid.

A linear game with short hours of gameplay. first of all it is a fun game, but lacks the freedom to move. the demo is on ps4 i suggest you try it before you buy it. it is an expensive game for what it offers and tbh i think the demo covers it all. still a great way to burn a weekend.

I had a lot of fun playing Blue Estate. It's a shame it's very short for the price you have to pay. If you're looking for a nice rail shooter buy Blue Estate.

That game is awesome! These guys did a really good job! The light-gun like gyroscope pad routine surely comes from an awesome and modest brain!
You can buy that funny game without any risk, but don't tell to your wife

Great fun and unique game. Kcanon112 clearly hasn't realised L1 calibrates the controller while your playing. The controls are actually really well done providing you calibrate it often....I normally do it while reloading. It's only a button press!
You won't be seeing a game like this agin for a while. I'm glad it exists.

Downloaded demo due to the lack of quality games to play and I was pleasantly suprised! So much once the demo was finished I purchased straightaway! Gameplay is fun and addictive, plenty of humour throughtout and the point scoring system gives it alot of replayability. For such a small investment it can provide you with alot of joy, well...at least until the AAA titles come out. 8/10

Definitely old-school rail shooter fun. The style of the art and the many jokes make for a very entertaining journey in the cliche underworld of simpletons and screw ups!

Fun, fun, fun!!!!!!!!!!! That's what I experienced while playing. People, why do you have to be so dull and boring? Looking for some philosophic matter in this rail shooter, talking about racist jokes, finding deep existential matter? I'd tried the leap motion version in October. And then this incredible PS4 version! I think it's the first game really using the potential of the PS4 pad. Really like it. New levels are really challenging on high difficulty. I guess it's the best rail shooter since long long time.

If you love loud jokes and misogyny, that game is for you.
Cinematics are cool but I rather ther comic book.
Rail shooter with an oldschool gameplay...really too expensive for that crap.

A neat idea, a comedy on rails shooter using PS4 motion controls but after the first fights the calibration goes wonky and the rest of the game becomes about not moving (which breaks calibration) and fighting the controls which even if you don't move position slowly reared to the right.

This takes me back to the times when I went on arcades and played Time Crisis, House of The Dead and I really enjoyed the game for what it is. Just sit back, relax and shoot gang folks and stuff.

This game can actually be fun, but it gets extremely repetitive. I would have rated it higher if it wasn't so repetitive as the core gameplay is solid. Refreshing to play this type of arcade shooter on the ps4 and it was nice to relax to. Also has co op.

I really don't understand the negative reviews. Maybe these people were expecting something other than what it is? Blue Estate is an on-rails shooter in the same vein as House of the Dead. If you're really fast, Abnormal and Crazytrain difficulty should indulge your taste for pain.

Anyway, surpringly good and fun. My only complaint is that it's too short. Arcade mode (and the score board) should keep you occupied for some time, but the story itself can be finished in a couple of hours.

"Blue Estate" will be a guilty pleasure for some. It's an arcade-style light gun shooter that uses the PS4's motion controller technology. It can be fun, but the toilet humor is annoying not funny. Aiming at the screen takes some getting use to. But once you get the hang of it, the game becomes somewhat enjoyable. Levels can be a bit long, so expect some fatigue. Overall, if you like light"Blue Estate" will be a guilty pleasure for some. Surprisingly fun on rails shooter. The game is hilarious and that is the main draw of the game. Well at least to me. However the controls are very infuriating at times. The story is super short with almost no replay ability. Wait for it to go cheap on a sale.

A lewd, crude on-rails effort that occasionally offers sharp blasting thrills, yet shoots itself in the foot (and mouth) with misjudged gags and gyroscope problems. [Sept 2014, p.104]

Not broken, just painfully, awfully average and repetitive. Offensive, too. [September 2014, p75]

The game's crass humour, repetitive gameplay and cultural indelicacy results in a depressing relic that should be consigned to the same draw[er] as that lightgun peripheral you never use anymore. [Oct 2014, p.77]
