Aside from horrid frame rate issues it has on PS4 it's a great collection. Arkham City was basically unplayable on PS4. It wasn't until I played the collection on PS5 that it really shined. The graphics are better and the games feel slightly smoother than the PS3 ports. That's pretty much all there is to it.

It goes for great price too. I think I bought it for $15 and it was free on playstation plus at one point.

    Cons
    - Asylum and City are physical copies while you get only a digital code for Arkham Knight

The Arkham series are some of the most influential games when it comes to general combat in gaming. They show evolution from one to the other not just in mechanics but also the scale and scope.

My only problem with the collection is the digital copy of Arkham Knight. As someone who likes to collect physical copies, this was a major disappointment and frankly made me a bit sour going into this. Luckily, my only issue with the collection does not stain just how good these three games are.

Arkham Asylum is a fun and contained adventure taking you through various levels and combat challenges that can feel tough but are definitely fair. The boss battles feel appropriately epic and the stealth is serviceable. The only flaw in this game is it shows its age with how stiff it controls.

Arkham City is the perfect game in the series. The controls got expanded with the map and the scope of the game making it feel like a natural leap forward between the games. The combat expanded with new tools and enemies and the story comes to a satisfying conclusion. Just a thrillride from beginning to end.

Arkham Knight features my favorite antihero and my favorite ending in the series. The combat is more visceral and fun with all the new options and enemies. The stealth is way quicker and way more fun. The only blemish is the batmobile sections, which get boring really quick. But other than that, Knight is my second favorite game in the series.

I feel like these games are a must play for anybody interested in modern games, though if you are a physical collector like me, maybe explore other options than this collection.

Of course it's a 10. I love all three of these games, and having the chance to play them all on my PS4 made me happier than I've ever been. Once I started playing and finished all three, that feeling did not disappear. I was not disappointed with these ports, in fact, I was thrilled. Full Review »
