    I've never done this, but after a 15 minute play, i just knew this game was garbage, i really don't know where this game came from, but marvelous has start thinking that they cannot keep on going only with the senran kangura (which isn't that good) only.

    If the original wasn't made by them, why make/publish an hd, if they made/publish the original, why keep going with a product this

    The game isn't atrocious in any way. Matter of fact, if I had played it on the Vita like it was originally meant to be played, I could say that it's a pretty good game, it's just that the transition to more mainstream systems that makes it feel barebones and with hardly any juicy content. The game is linear and mission based with a story so compelling that I skipped all of the introduction text for each mission just to jump straight into the game.

    As far as a shooter involving mechs go, it's serviceable at least. The controls at least work well, even if the aiming can feel a little loose. Customization enthusiasts will be able to ogle at all the parts and weapons you can develop to fully kit out yourself and your three other team mates, featuring a plethora of an arsenal, featuring assault rifles, shotguns, missile and grenade launchers, laser weaponry, vulcan cannons, and so many customization parts that I can't remember them all. However, with a huge difficulty spike compensating for tiny mission length, the game doesn't have a lot to stand on. It may be fun to treat it like a Dynasty Warriors game but with guns, considering the massive amounts of enemies the game will throw at you at any one time for you to mow down.

    If you get a good mech going, you'll be hosing down enemies whilst only being really challenged by the boss enemies or the cheap near instant kill heavy turrets the game likes to put in chokepoints and which take like 500 shots before finally exploding, However, the same can't be said for your team mates.

    Your team mates can't be called a liability since they can't really hurt you directly in any way unless you turn friendly fire on, an option I'm convinced they added specifically so you could off them first and save some time, but your allies will die faster than light if you leave them unsupervised. Their only real modes of operation are attack and follow, the other two being idle and standby, the difference between which I haven't been able to figure out. In attack mode, they'll all go off on their own to destroy absolutely everything on the map. However, that's *all* they do. They weren't programmed to properly fight or do things like dodge or retreat or strafe. All they do is walk forward and shoot their guns endlessly before a beefier enemy squashes them instantly, leaving you to fight the boss that has way more HP than you do and can close distances to instant kill you almost immediately completely on your own. Follow works better since they'll always stick to you but will continue to shoot at things around you, though their survival instincts are still absent.

    As far as 10 bucks goes, I could've done worse than buying this game. It's entertaining for the two hours or so it'll last you without DLC, which is where all the actual fun missions are located, but I would've been more satisfied had I been able to pick it up for 5, because that's what it should be priced at.

    Assault Gunner HD manages to make mech-based combat boring and lifeless but may appeal to diehard mech fans just looking to destroy robots. A 2012 Japanese import that translated poorly from Vita to PS4.

    While it can be enjoyable for a mission or two, it’s easy to get bored and move on to something else. If you are simply dying for a mech game and have some money to spare, it might be worth it.

    There's little to get here that you can't get from a mobile game, except you wouldn't sit in front of a 55-inch screen to play something like Temple Run. Assault Gunners HD Edition doesn't benefit from being on PS4 at all; if anything, it's worse off. With little to no depth or nuance, Assault Gunners HD Edition is a mindless action game that offers very little in return for your dedicated time in front of the TV.
