    Very nicely done stealth game.

If you are into real stealth games I can highly recommend this! This is not AAA so don't expect the production value of one but the gameplay is done very well and a lot of fun. I hope to see the team succeeding with this and to be able to make a sequel! Enjoy the game and support the indies!

The perfect classic japanese stylized ninja game, soundtrack is great. I wouldv'e given 7/10 except the story conclusion, reveal, and meaning behind the ending makes the whole game so much more, 9/10 is well deserved. Once it's done you just want to know more. 100% worth it, plus it's pretty cheap

    PROS!:
-Great story, I know that may not be agreed upon by everybody but the payoff brings everything together in a way I felt was very satisfying
-I am inherently a fan of stealth and this is a game about a shadow ninja....so yeah...it's stealthy -Cinematics really make the story beats enjoyable. -The enemies have a reasonable line of sight - not too realistic not too stupid. OKS!:

    OKS!:
-Fighting is not an option like in many other stealth games. You either sneak up on fools or avoid them, fighting results in one hit kills.
-You got three boss fights. They are ok. That's all I have to say about that. Oh, and final boss sucks.
-Upgradeable abilities don't do anything new but are serviceable. Using your abilities economically is done well though.

    CONS!:
-Runs terribly. I mean, why? Look at it!
-The missions are monotonous. Disable light barrier, reach next area, infiltrate pagoda. Two enemies: swordsman and archers. Nothing is different from mission to mission save for the map.

    Conclusion:
-A good foundation of stealth and great story make this an enjoyable game.

Had I played this on PC instead, I would have given this an 8. But this port is terrible, with significant frame skipping and low FPS. The final cutscene didn't even sync up audio correctly. The lag was that bad. By the end of the game when the complexity ramps up, these became such significant hurdles that what fun I was having turned into frustration.

solid game. solid everything actually. I understand this is strictly a stealth game, but the lack of gameplay variety/enemies/ objectives really holds this game back. If you played half the game, you've played it all.
Pros: Loved the artstyle for this genre, fun+useful skills, good challenge, pretty good A.I. unique gameplay. ok story.
Cons: Borderline tedious game objectives; it's

Cons: Borderline tedious game objectives; it's literally rinse and repeat.. i plateaued in chapter 5..probably would've given this game a 9/10 then..but the game went somewhat downhill there for me. too repetitive.
I also want to note this game advertises this as a play however you want(100% stealth or kill everything), but if I'm not mistaken you actually get punished by not killing anyone by getting less points, and you really don't want to go 100% stealth unless you want to go bald by pulling you hair out.

Absolutely was not expecting this level of quality in an indie game.

It is hard to find good Ninja stealth games. I've bought or imported every single Tenchu or Shinobido ever made so when this game was being compared to a 3d Mark of the Ninja I couldn't resist. I was honestly keeping my hopes down and not expecting this much polish. I was blown away. I only hope they make a sequel.

Graphics: Artsy cell shading not quite as astounding as Journey or El Shaddai, but certainly well above Wind Waker the graphics are gorgeous and very well done. There is clear anime influence in the characters. The shadow system is pretty stylish as well. The water, the fire, the night sky are all beautiful. Your cape even functions as your HUD.

Gameplay: Basic sneaky stabby fare. Honestly surpassed all my faves in the genre like Tenchu Z. The levels are massive and sprawling. They are packed with a myriad of branches and options you can use to approach the same goal. The shadow mechanic is very fun once you master it. There is no jump button instead you teleport. You don't hide bodies, you send them through a shadow portal. Light drains your magic, shadows restore it. it's pretty gnarly. It's not without glitches, but is very well designed. Little Easter eggs to the creator's favorites like Ocarina of Time are sprinkled throughout which makes the story a bit more fun. Different play styles and items are unlockable for people used to a more modern complete stealth experience like Splinter Cell Blacklist. It's not perfect though. There is no customizable button layout, the save points can be a bit far between, and the characters are hardly people you will get attached to. Still I can overlook that. Hence why it's a 9 and not a 10.

Online: The Coop is great if you can find someone to play with and makes the harsh difficulty easier. Finding buddies is hard. The steam version has a level editor, but not the PS4 version so that sucks. Maybe 8.5 would have been a more fitting rating?

Bottom Line: This absolutely blew me away. I recommend it to any fan of this genre, and I am eagerly awaiting a sequel. Rumor has it the creator is considering Nintendo Switch port which seems an even better fit. If you hate stealth games and like to have an action option you're gonna have a bad time, but if you love stealth you will love this. I recommend you buy it because it was worth it at full price, now it's down to bargain levels. You'll regret it if you miss it.

I really like this game, and I would love it if not for some minor issues that accumulate to some moments of frustration and confusion.

First off, the graphics are nice; the cell-shaded approach works well for the anime-like ninja context. The downfall is that it can get glitchy, and the frame-rate can really drop to make the game jerky and choppy at times. Still, these are not game-breaking issues.

The controls are where this game is 75% fun but 25% frustration, and the main reason to give 4 stars and not 5. For the most part assassinations and shadow-travelling work very well and are very impressive, but occasionally the teleport function just won't work even though you've lined everything up right, or the assassinate command won't activate even though you are right behind an enemy. This is infrequent, however with the number of enemies you are attempting to attack, this could cause you to get killed and have to respawn at the last save point, which could have been quite a few minutes ago. What is really good though is that respawning is almost instantaneous; no prolonged loading screens adding to your frustration.

The story of Aragami develops as you play through the game, which is great as you are not subjected to numerous and endless cut-scenes. The music is also quite subtle but appropriate and enjoyable.

One particular aspect I do like is that a lot of areas allow you to choose your own way of navigation, however in some areas it soon becomes clear that certain routes just will not be worth the hassle, particularly when you can die in one hit, which is a concept that should really have been reserved for harder difficulties.

Overall, they came close to creating a brilliant game, here. This is one of the best ninja games I have played in a very long time. Whilst somewhat brief, the length is appropriate as you can feel some repetition settling in by the last couple of levels. There are extra costumes and other collectibles there for longevity, but only the scrolls serve a function beyond cosmetic bragging. I got this game for £9.99, and overall I'm quite happy with it and would love to see it improved upon in sequels or more ninja games.

My first mistake was playing this game immediately after finishing a high octane hack n' slash game, this game is not combat friendly. Presentation is fantastic with an Okami-like Japanese paintbrush/cell shaded look, and the HUD is cleverly encompassed entirely on your cloak in an eye catching way.
Its a fine game, plays pretty well, soundtrack is actually very enjoyable. Story is a little lackluster if only because you can see the twist coming with sullies it a little bit.

Answer: 75 characters is between 10 words and 19 words with spaces included in the character count. If spaces are not included in the character count, then 75 characters is between 12 words and 25 words.

All in all, Aragami was an enjoyable twist to your classic stealth game. The gameplay was original, and the graphics and music were solid. I definitely had some minor issues with the game mechanics but nothing that would sway me from buying it. If I had to make a change in the game, I would suggest a more engaging story and a little more diversification when it comes to the enemies.

Aragami is a satisfactory stealth game. It's not exceptional, but it has its high points. The shadow-dancing teleport mechanic is the centerpiece of the game, and it is at its best when you have large, open areas to sneak through. It's at its worst when cheap deaths or unenjoyable boss fights dominate the experience. It's a fun budget stealth game that will probably tickle the fancy of anyone who's looking for one. It might not break new ground, but sometimes, it's just fun to be a ninja, and Aragami deliveries that in spades.
