Aug 9, 2018If positioned as a PSN downloadable title, All-Star Fruit Racing may have been considered a great budget offering, however launching the game at full retail release brings with it higher expectations. Where some of them are met with easy to grasp controls, plenty of customization and the odd thrilling circuit, there are a number of minor faults that sour the overall package.

Jul 25, 2018For a first attempt at a kart racer, All-Star Fruit Racing shows that the team behind it is talented, and they know how to make a genuinely fun game. There’s a lot of joy involved in playing this one, and it’s an ideal party racing game, particularly on the PlayStation 4, where there’s no Mario Kart equivalent to reach for. If it wasn’t for the infuriating AI, I’d even argue that All-Star Fruit Racing takes a step forward in a genre that Nintendo itself is almost painfully conservative about.

Jul 23, 2018All-Star Fruit Racing is a good debut kart game. It's the effort of an upcoming software house which does not compete against great kart games, but it also says it doesn't have this ambition. They developed a game that is funny, creative and user-friendly. Its strongest features lie in the track design and the weapon system, but its flaws are its too-simple driving system and drivers with little charisma. It's a summer videogame, to have fun together with family and friends.
