    Impossible and intolerable for mere mortals. Casual gamers need to stay far away from this game. Physical copies should be surrounded with yellow and black barricade tape.

    The score is not a reflection of the quality of the game itself which, if you're an expert joystick fiddler, may be quite good. The basic premise is you are a ninja (obviously) who has 10 seconds (obviously) to kill    Impossible and intolerable for mere mortals. Casual gamers need to stay far away from this game. Physical copies should be surrounded with yellow and black barricade tape.

    The score is not a reflection of the quality of the game itself which, if you're an expert joystick fiddler, may be quite good. The basic premise is you are a ninja (obviously) who has 10 seconds (obviously) to kill all the Nazi robots in a level. You get up to 3 stars depending how quick you are and if you get enough stars you'll progress to the next chapter. The game is fast and level design, what I saw which wasn't much because I'm terrible, is thoughtful. By which I mean you normally have to think of a strategy to get the best time. But that's not enough, mostly you need controller control.

    This game is a blast. Time attack platformer with perfect controls. My qualms with this game is that difficulty is too hard too fast. Would be better if you could progress and then go back to get all the stars but you quickly hit a wall and cannot progress. Remapping controls would be nice. Runs perfectly on Vita.

    If you want a cheesy story to go along with a hard platformer, this is for you! The game takes inspiration from Super Meat Boy, but faster paced. As the name implies, you have 10 seconds to finish the level. This is done by destroying every single robot (which there are a variety of), and not being electrocuted (which can also happen many ways). There are multiple "stages" that haveIf you want a cheesy story to go along with a hard platformer, this is for you! The game takes inspiration from Super Meat Boy, but faster paced. As the name implies, you have 10 seconds to finish the level. This is done by destroying every single robot (which there are a variety of), and not being electrocuted (which can also happen many ways). There are multiple "stages" that have multiple levels. These levels get progressively more difficult the more you complete, and each stage has it's own twist that changes how you play the game. Each stage also has different tilesets and music. In my opinion, the default control map is good, but be aware there is no control mapping. My only complaint is the learning curve. The levels, as I said, do get harder, but each time you enter a new stage, it becomes significantly more difficult, although I think that's the point. If you've never played a game like Super Meat Boy or 10 Second Ninja, you should definitely try this game.… Expand

    Mediocre to good gameplay covered in terrible graphics, bad music and no story at all. You can't remap the buttons, although it requires precise movement. It offers some replay value to get all the stars, but I've got bored of it pretty soon. This game gets nowhere close to other platformers such as Super Meat Boy but it's an almost decent one.

    uber hard and very time consuming and can be very frustrating. Unless you enjoy to be very precise and it takes a long time to get good at it, and the story is pretty bad.

    The game requires some quick fingers but thanks to the tight controls and well balanced learning curve I never felt frustrated and often ended up in that “one more go” loop many gamers will be familiar with. It won’t take long to complete (2-3 hours for most people) but I thoroughly enjoyed my time with 10 Second Ninja X and I’d recommend it to anyone that is a fan of games like Super Meat Boy.    … Expand

    Hard but addicting gameplay. The brief story is cheesy but entertaining enough. Worth playing and a pretty good price point.

    La storia principale è formata da 60 livelli, ogni livello ha un timer di 10 secondi per essere completato. In questo lasso di tempo dovremo distruggere tutti i robot presenti in esso: si tratta dell’unico modo per avanzare e guadagnare stelle. Più velocemente finiremo il livello più stelle acquisiremo, fino ad un massimo di 3. Queste ci serviranno per sbloccare i livelli successivi. PerLa storia principale è formata da 60 livelli, ogni livello ha un timer di 10 secondi per essere completato. In questo lasso di tempo dovremo distruggere tutti i robot presenti in esso: si tratta dell’unico modo per avanzare e guadagnare stelle. Più velocemente finiremo il livello più stelle acquisiremo, fino ad un massimo di 3. Queste ci serviranno per sbloccare i livelli successivi. Per distruggere i vari robot useremo una katana o, per ogni livello, potremmo usare un massimo di tre stelle ninja, che potranno eliminare anche più robot contemporaneamente.
    Avanzando nel gioco i nemici cambieranno asset. Troveremo infatti anche robot con un’armatura o capaci di assorbire le nostre stelle ninja. Ci saranno anche degli interruttori per spostare dei blocchi rossi e blu, o blocchi che cadranno al nostro passaggio. Una volta finiti i primi 60 livelli potremmo affrontarne altri 40, trasposti però del primo capitolo.

    Sono varie le impostazioni che potremo modificare, dal suono alla luminosità. Potremo anche cambiare la velocità del gioco rendendolo più lento.

    Una volta avviato il titolo verremo catapultati nel tutorial: qui ci verranno spiegati i vari pulsanti per il combattimento o per il salto. Dopo averli superati incontreremo il capitano che ci trasporterà sulla nave. Su questa, nella stanza principale, ci saranno 6 televisori a tubo catodico (ciascuno dei quali contenente dieci livelli), uno schermo gigante e tre porte.

    Nella parte inferiore della stanza troveremo invece le tre porte. Una ci porterà alla poppa della nave dove incontreremo altri due personaggi ed altre due porte. In una di queste troveremo un mini-gioco che, premiando la memoria, ci permetterà di guadagnare delle monete che si potranno usare per ottenere un suggerimento nei vari livelli. In quella centrale potremo entrarci solo quando finiremo i primi 60 livelli. Saranno sbloccabili anche vari costumi (otto diversi) e alcuni cambieranno anche il personaggio giocabile. Potremmo cambiare l’abbigliamento andando nella porta a sinistra.

    Gli esploratori acuti noteranno che ci sono alcune stanze nascoste che ci serviranno a trovare dei pezzi di un disco. Esso poi ci permetterà di fare un altro mini-gioco in cui guideremo una suora che dovrà uccidere degli zombie a suon di pugni.
    Una gradita aggiunta è la presenza in ciascun livello di una classifica dove confronteremo i nostri risultati con quelli di altri giocatori spingendoci a migliorare il nostro punteggio.
    10 Second Ninja X è un platform che ricorda la grafica di giochi ben più celebri come l’intramontabile Super Mario, molto gradevole alla vista e poco confusionaria grazie alla sua semplicità. Anche i personaggi sono molto semplici (ma arricchiti da dialoghi molto divertenti) e dal design curato.

    Sul versante della localizzazione non è presente la lingua italiana, ma i dialoghi sono molto semplici così da rendere il titolo fruibile anche dai non anglofoni. Per proseguire col dialogo ci verrà chiesto di premere il pulsante X permettendo così di tradurre con calma ogni parola. Oltre all’inglese troveremo anche il tedesco, francese, spagnolo e russo: un vero peccato che non sia stato incluso anche l’italiano.
    La colonna sonora non è sicuramente incisiva, ma offre dei pezzi che si prestano benissimo all’atmosfera veloce e dinamica del gioco, scandendo il ritmo che il giocatore dovrà tenere per poter superare tutti i livelli.
    10 Second Ninja X è presente su svariati store. Sia su quello Microsoft, Steam e PS sarà acquistabile al prezzo di 9.99€. Su quello Nintendo invece a 15€.    … Expand

    10 Second Ninja is certainly well designed from a gameplay standpoint, but misses out on being great through the shear difficulty of it. But if you enjoy a real tough challenge, and if your reflexes are sharper than mine, then it might be worth a shot.
