    Could definitely use more story mode characters. The FMV sequences for the 3 that were included are awesome. Uses Online Pass and I rented so can't tell you about the online multiplayer, but the local matches that I played were great. Weapons, both special and normal are lots of fun.

    Only played 16 percent of it so far, but what a sick freaking story line. Holy carp. This one ain't for the kiddies. Just like I remembered the game. Excellent.

    Really can't believe 2 months after game came out and multiple patches, the game froze today, june 2nd 2012 again, really, annoying that the dev, jaffe talks about all kinds of crap and not fixing the game. I do really like the game, really fun, esp online. I never played any twisted metals before, i think the grapfics good, but lots of destructibles which makes action explosive, i would give this game 8.6 out of 10, but very dissapointed in the people working on this game, u neeed to focus on making the game run properly and not worry about what color bmw u are going to get with all the copies sold. and maybe worry about not getting a bmw and putting time and money into fixing a few bugs,or banning skins when game doesn't run without freezing putting wear and tear on my ps3, custom music is good option, but needed with jay -z on the original, n not old jay-z new crap, why no immortal technique, or rage against the machine, i mean come on who gets a paycheck for picking this stuff, but all in all a good game , and lots of fun, , i mean send this guys tweets to fix the game, if you paid for it you at least deserve that… Expand

    WICKED!!! game with heaps of action and fun around destroying your enemy's. awesome movie and most of all awesome characters. that's why im giving it a 8/10.

    What can I say about Twisted Metal? It was great during it's PS1 years then I found it quite redundant and I didn't really expect much of the franchise afterwards. For a long time, I simply thought it wasn't up to par with its competitors. Well this is the game that changed my mind. Minus the racing which absolutely does NOT belong in Twisted Metal, I'd say the game was damn enjoyable. SoWhat can I say about Twisted Metal?     THE GOOD: The single player has a couple levels that are fun enough that you can play them multiple times. It gives a reasonable challenge with a controls scheme that works. The Story mode has cool stories that go through each of the main characters. Maps are large with lots of stuff that is destroyable. Single player boss battles can be fun to fight.

    THE BAD: The single player is    THE GOOD: The single player has a couple levels that are fun enough that you can play them multiple times.     THE BAD: The single player is hugely lacking in content and is not particularly very long. The game lacks many characters that were in previous Twisted Metal titles. Graphically, it looks dull. Online just isn't really worth playing. Connection issues are constant and its annoying to wait such a long time for matches that can be short. There are some glitches that can be annoying as well. And sometimes the game just isn't fun to play at all

    Its was good to see Sweet Tooth and others return, but it just didn't live up to the hype that it was given, due to its barebones experience both online and offline. SKIP IT! But at least I can get my hopes up that Twisted Metal on the PS4 will be a better game.    … Expand

    This game is awesome, the gameplay itself is fast paced and dynamic if compared to TM2 (the only other "awesome" TM game that I've played), but the basic formulae its the same, and the game is very fun. The other types of levels besides the classic car death match (like races and robot bosses) are very interesting and challenging.     I'm so glad they brought back Twisted Metal! I played every Twisted Metal on the PS1 long ago. This game is by far the best one. The online play is pretty solid. The story is good even though many people hate the races...I found them challenging and rewarding. The game play is similar to the other Twisted Metal games. Overall, great game!

    Вы меня спросите почему 10? А потому что когда я был еще ребенком и имел ps1. Впервые сыграл в эту только 4 часть. Потом мне стало интересно узнать какие были предыдущие игры скрежет металла. Ну вот и мой приговор,что 4 часть и его перезагрузка(первой части), является одной из моих самых любимых гонок. Почему? НО НЕ ДЛЯ ЭТОГО СОЗДАЛИ СКРЕЖЕТ МЕТАЛЛА. ТАК ЧТО Я НЕ СТАЛ ЭТО ЗАСЧИТЫВАТЬ И ПОСТАВИЛ 10 БАЛЛОВ. ВСЕМ КОМУ НРАВИТСЯ ХОРОШО ПРОВЕСТИ ВРЕМЯ СОВЕТУЮ ЭТУ ИГРУ. НЕ ПОЖАЛЕЕТЕ!… Expand

    While this one did try too hard to be cool, it did succeed in being a fun game. Sure it feels quite different from the other Twisted Metal games, Mostly in the physics, but it's not bad. It's just flawed. I do find TM2 and TMB to be better games, but it's still a great TM game. P.S. The cheesy cut scenes may be...well cheesy, but that's what makes them enjoyable.

    and in 1997 TM 2 was the best TM for long time.
    and now in psn one of the best psone download is TM2 the thing that TM2 was big succes, its the game play. the gameplay is the secret that TM2 has very good levels and fun and characters. 3,4,small browl. was funny but not fun. black has amazing dark side style like batman arkham    Am big fan of twisted metal since the first one in 1996

    the trophy in the game is brutal its like 99.9% imposible to get platinum if you are trophy hunter, well you will serunder with this game i have alot platinum trophy but i cant get more then 15 of 40.
    online game is alot of fun... and new style race and nuke mode and more.
    well for long time more then 10 years that there no car combat game like old time, vigilante 8 and TM

    They tried to reinvent the wheel with this game, and failed miserably. A cage that teleports all over the city and you take damage when you're not inside it? Who thought that mechanic would be fun? The terrible car controls/physics in this game need a ton of work. You just feel sluggish and can't do what you want to do. Also, one of the    TM2 is still the king, and by a wide margin.

Also, one of the absolute worst things about this game is the AI. All 6 of them come after you, and only you. They do not attack each other. This is a big problem, and it's amazing that they released the game in this state. Even on normal difficulty, you will fail over and over again.

    Bottom line: Frustrating, not fun. Stick with TM1, TM2, Black, and Head-On.    … Expand

    El mejor de la saga sin dudas está incomprendido en el fandom pero en realidad es el mejor (en gameplay, historia sigue siendo Black)

    The gameplay, graphics, soundtrack, destruction, chaos, car customization, maps and much more are amazing! One of the best twisted metal games.

    Twisted Metal es una saga muy querida y este juego no es el mejor, pero lo que hace lo hace bien, su gameplay es divertido, las carreras mortales son una pasada, los carros se diferencian correctamente, cada uno con sus propios poderes y estadísticas, los mapas son mas grandes lo que da la sensación de estar en una guerra, junto con la destrucción de escenario te hace sentir dentro delTwisted Metal es una saga muy querida y este juego no es el mejor, pero lo que hace lo hace bien, su gameplay es divertido, las carreras mortales son una pasada, los carros se diferencian correctamente, cada uno con sus propios poderes y estadísticas, los mapas son mas grandes lo que da la sensación de estar en una guerra, junto con la destrucción de escenario te hace sentir dentro del juego, su historia es muy buena con cinemáticas que te ponen tenso y odio por calipso, aunque el final de dollface es decepcionante(el desarrollo es espectacular, me impresiona como malograron el final), la música es buena, los jefes finales son decentes tirando a malos, y la pantalla al terminar una partida termina en seco con un cartel diciendo "ganaste"(no hay sensación de victoria), pero aun con esos problemas Twisted Metal es un buen juego, y es una saga que merece volver por lo mas alto en Ps5… Expand

    Twisted Metal isn't perfect, but most gamers will enjoy this game regardless of genre-loyalty. Twisted Metal is one of the most rewarding multiplayer experiences a gamer can have.

    Although the game has some obvious issues, mainly the controls and the over-the-top difficulty level, the game sure has some character. Fast paced shooter/racer is a great way to get rid of stress. The network game is pure adrenaline packed fun. [Apr 2012]
