Oct 26, 2010Another boring Tony Hawk game, When will Activision learn that using a fake board to play the game is not fun and when will they return to using a standard controller. The only saving grace of this game was snowboarding and that got tiring after an hour of playing it.

Feb 12, 2015Another terribly made Tony Hawk's game because of that awful peritheral that Activision sold in order to make so much money. But it only sold 3,000 units in it's first week.

Playstation Official Magazine UKFeb 16, 2011You're either on rails with almost no control, or doing random tricks that feel totally disconnected from the peripheral itself. [Jan 2011, p.121]

Nov 28, 2010As the gamers expected an improvement concerning the control-area, Tony Hawk SHRED is rather disappointing. After a couple of hours you still don't have the complete control of the board – a fact that can make the most relaxed player easily angry. The graphical effects and the missing story are further disadvantages of the game. Only the cool soundtrack and the typical skate-atmosphere are on the credit-side. To sum up, 100 Euro and more for the game and controller are simply too much!

Nov 16, 2010Tony Hawk: Shred failed as Ride failed last year. It's necessary for the series to take a 180 degree turn and follow a new direction.
