Telltale's excellent series comes to a close in this dark and violent episode. Even though it's the final episode there are still some tough decisions to make. This episode is filled with some of the most memorable moments yet, especially the action sequences, and it's nice to see the payoffs from all of the decisions I made in the previous episodes. This episode is filled with some of the most memorable moments yet, especially the action sequences, and it's nice to see the payoffs from all of the decisions I made in the previous episodes. It is a noticeably short episode and despite the overall high quality of Telltale's writing not everything flows as smoothly as it should. One particular scene where the game tries to make players feel sorry for some particularly scummy characters fall short thanks to the fact that there's no real reason to sympathize with them. No matter what I just couldn't make myself see them as the victims both they and Telltale were trying to paint them as. Still even with it's minor issues this is both a great closing episode and an excellent example of top-notch writing in video games. It's hard to see the game go, but with an episode this great I can't help but love how it leaves. My total score for the episode is an 8.9/10=Great. Expand

Amazing final chapter of the first season with beautiful noire feeling. The choices are settled, but because of amazing script, they have feeling that your choices really matter. In the end maybe didn't but what if...

Out of all of the episodes in the series, this was likely the best. Despite the lack of action in the previous episodes it is made up for by the final fight which definitely deserves the word 'epic'. It did suffer from slight tone problems and the final scene was rather predictable however it is all massively overshadowed by the surprisingly open ending. It was so open I found myself confused as to what is happening and it left me perplexed for a rather long time until I came up with my own conclusion as I'm sure Telltale envisioned players to do. This was made better as it did not rely on a gut punch to have an effective ending. I applaud Telltale for this ambitious game but the minor problems do make it impossible to give a perfect ten. The season finale of The Wolf Among Us is well written and exciting from beginning to end. It’s a nice closure, but there’s a little nasty catch on Telltale’s part: put down the controller and the big bad wolf continues to run, punch and puff without you.

Bigby Wolf is a surrogate parent for Fabletown, but the stakes are lowered.
