    The game is good, but it feels much more like an intro than as an actual episode. It is very short and there is absolutely no character development. In S1 you felt connected with some characters since the beginning, here the characters do not really create any feeling for them.     As far as the story goes this episode satisfied me. It sets up this new season for a lot of twists and turns and the world of "The Walking Dead" just feels darker and more dangerous than the previous season. There aren't many moments where you get to make choices that severely effect the experience, but overall I'm satisfied with the story of this new episode. Where this episode disappoints me is with it's gameplay, or lack thereof.

    For most of this episode you are watching rather than playing. There are no puzzles and only a few quick time events. For the most part all you are doing in the gameplay department is walking forward and clicking on things to pick up or look at in the environment. I get that the story has always been the focus of this series, but the first season of this game did give us actual gameplay in the form of things like puzzles or shooting sections. This first episode forsakes things like that and ends up hardly feeling like a game at all. There aren't even any real big choices to make. The whole episode feels like it's on rails and practically defines the term linear.

    Still despite my issues with this latest episode I can't help but get excited about where this story is going in the future episodes, and I do recommend it to those who loved the first season. There are some shocking, brutal, and emotional moments here that will stick with you long after the credits have rolled. It's just really disappointing to me that there aren't any real choices to make and that I was watching WAY more than I was playing. I hope that the next episodes will give me more decisions to make and provide me with more gameplay than this episode did. I found this to be a disappointing start to this new chapter, but I still can't help but be excited to see where the story goes from here in the future episodes.    … Expand

    This episode gives the Walking dead season 2 a good start.

    Season 1 was amazing but their were bits it felt of just plain nothing happening e.g. the train, but season 2 does not have that everything you do feels important and not just a way to stretch out game play time. Let's just hope the rest of season 2 keeps up to this standard.

    Disturbing Shocking Sickening Intense Compelling Memorable Bloody Gory Violent and so on... (I got bored just writing words). If one hasn't played the first season yet (along with the excellent 400 Days DLC), they may want to play that before playing this    If I were to describe the season 2 opener of Telltale's Walking Dead video game, it would probably be these words:

    Season Two doesn't disappoint me one bit so far. Every detail in the story has me wanting more and is still able shock me, the controls for doing a task makes me feel more involved. I love season two so far.

    I love everything about the walking dead. The first season was amazing but this first episode disappointed me a little bit. The Gameplay is well improved ! But It's not the same feeling playing Clementine and they did it really good. But there's no thing that you are attached anymore. There is no characters development.     The walnut dead is not meant to be a game so stop dissing the game for that. I like the culture of it, it's meant to be an interactive story. It's something new, and they executed it well. Good story however and awesome plot twist.

    Season 2 starts off a little slower than the first in my opinion. I wasn't pulled in as much as in the first one. However, by the end of the first episode I was hooked and dying to see what happened. I was satisfied, not in love with this but not disappointed.     Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Game was released in 2012 to much praise. Season 1 contained five episodes, with the first being released in the spring and the final in the fall. Despite its technical hiccups, its gripping story and lovable characters made it one of the best games of the year. Now, fans of the series can purchase the first episode of Season 2, titled “All That Remains.”

    In the first episode of the new season, the player takes control of Clementine, a character all The Walking Dead fans are very familiar with at this point. However, this isn’t the same innocent Clem from season 1. She appears to be a couple years older and much more acclimated to the cruel world she has grown up in. Lee isn’t there to comfort and protect her anymore, and she has to face this harsh world pretty much on her own.

    While the pacing in this first episode is kind of slow, it basically serves as a building block for later episodes. It sets the mood for the season and helps the player become familiar with new characters. On its own, it’s nothing spectacular, but I’m sure it will fit in perfectly once later episodes are released.

    I don’t want to go too much into the story of this episode in fear on spoiling it, but I will say that the player should be prepared for a very somber experience. Those who loved season 1 no doubt will enjoy the first episode of the new season. The end of the first episode leaves you wanting more, and that’s a good thing. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

    Final thoughts:

    Gameplay: Anyone who has played a Telltale game knows what the gameplay is like; walk around, explore your environment, and press the button prompted on the screen. It’s simple gameplay that really lets you focus on the story.

    Appearance: Visuals are on-par with the first season’s, and, as to be expected, there are a few technical glitches (The weirdest one I experienced was lifeless character models in bedrooms that I could walk right through). These glitches usually don’t affect the gameplay or distract you from the story, but when they do, it’s kind of a letdown.

    Sound: I was very impressed with the soundtrack; so much that I frantically searched the internet in search of where I can buy it, but to no avail. The track that particularly stands out in my mind is the song that plays at the end credits. It’s beautiful. The sound in the game really adds to the somber feel the game aims to present.

    Bottom line: If you enjoyed Telltale’s Game of the Year Award-winning The Walking Dead: Season 1, you can’t afford to miss season 2. The first episode is just a taste of what’s to come, and you’ll be dying to know what happens next.    … Expand

    It's a shame the controls aren't very responsive and we grew tired of the framedrops by the end of the episode, though if you're willing to overlook that, you'll get a great premiere to what promises to be another brilliant season of the Walking Dead videogame. Prepare to be emotionally wrecked, guys - 'cause you sure as hell will be.

    As you’d expect, new characters are introduced, the writing and voice acting is outstanding, and you’ll feel more protective of protagonist Clementine than any previous episode. We are a little concerned that the already established character may influence your decisions a little too much, but this is still an undeniably strong opening to another promising Telltale Games series.
