    The games are pretty good. Legend tries to be very cinematic with a lot of cut scenes and timed events which is great but at the same time the game is buggy and short. I still had fun playing it. On the other hand Anniversary is the very first Tomb Raider ever made but in a director's cut mode. Easyli one of the best Tomb Raiders ever. Underworld is also fun, albeit I would like to haveThe games are pretty good.     Lara Croft has been the queen of video games for 15 years and counting. As I'm beginning to wait for next year on the awaiting reboot of Tomb Raider, nothing can't slow me down by playing a great HD collection just like God of War and Prince of Persia. I love Tomb Raider Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld!     Sure, it's not perfect by modern standards, but THIS is the Lara Croft and Tomb Raider I will always love and remember.

    Great bargain for 2 of the 3 games at least. Tomb Raider Legend and Anniversary are both amazing games, and while Tomb Raider: Underworld isn't very good it is still playable. I played TRL originally on the 360 and never completed it, this collection gave me the chance to and I have to say it was quite good. Anniversary on the other hand I had not played ever so it was all new to me. TheGreat bargain for 2 of the 3 games at least. Tomb Raider Legend and Anniversary are both amazing games, and while Tomb Raider: Underworld isn't very good it is still playable. The story was pretty solid in both games Legend was quite short I completed it in about 6 hours. Anniversary took me about 14 hours. Over all if you have not played TR Legend or Anniversary this is a great pick up.… Expand

    A classic collection for all old tomb raider fans.Now will only have to wait for a remake version of the great tomb raider 2!A must have for any fan of the series.

    The Tomb Raider Trilogy is HD remastered version of Tomb Rader Legend, Anniversary and Underworld. Includes trophy support, a XrossMedia Bar theme pack, and Lara Croft and Viking Thrall avatars for use in PlayStation Home. There are also developer diary videos for each game.

    10/10 yes yes and once again YES.
    This collection is a must for every Tomb Raider lover, I have absolutely nothing against the new trilogy, but you have to play this trilogy first or just in general. Underworld was my favourite by far, followed by Legends and then Anniversary, I didn't like the reboot of the first Tomb Raider that much.

    It is difficult to give an overall opinion about this one since there are three games included. Legend is a shorter, average experience, while Anniversary I found the worst of all three due to a really uninteresting and thin story (I was bored far before the end). Underworld is probably the best of all three games. It definitely looks the best.

    The most common thing for all three of them are bad jumping controls. I spent quite a lot of time trying to jump and land where I intended to. Underworld is the worst when it comes to jumping and it has strange camera movements that made me almost sick a few times.

    A nice little surprise was a little extra chapter at Croft Manor as a part of Legend and Anniversary games. It is just like a puzzle game that will take you about 30 minutes to complete. If you are into puzzles do not miss this. Anniversary Croft Manor is really nice.

    While still a good value and a trio of great games, several problems keep this from being the perfect collection for Tomb Raider fans. Superior versions of these games are already available on another system, however, if you want them all brand new individually, you'll spend more than you would for this package. Tomb Raider Trilogy is really a mixed bag visually, and proof that justWhile still a good value and a trio of great games, several problems keep this from being the perfect collection for Tomb Raider fans. Superior versions of these games are already available on another system, however, if you want them all brand new individually, you'll spend more than you would for this package. Tomb Raider Trilogy is really a mixed bag visually, and proof that just because things can look better on PS3 doesn't mean they do. Although Sony always boasts the power and visual superiority of their console, few developers, including Sony's own in-house teams, take advantage of this power. Like most other PS3 games the maximum resolution here is 720p, and for those with TVs that can support greater resolutions this is a waste. All of these games were previously released on Xbox 360, and while upscaled, were presented at resolutions up to 1080p. The only game in this package released on PS3 before now was Underworld and it looks as great as ever, and is easily the best looking of the three games in this package. All of the gameplay within remains, as far as I could tell, unchanged. There are huge, beautiful environments in which your time will be divided between platforming, puzzles and simple combat. Puzzles are large and really test your brainpower, most of the time. The only problem I have here is the lack of precision in Lara's control. Collision detection is questionable at best, with Lara missing ledges and falling off high places even if you have perfectly lined yourself up before making a movement, however it is not nearly as bad as Anniversary. You will have a good bit of trouble with the final boss due to this but it can be overcome and doesn't break the game. As for Anniversary, in my opinion it looks smoother and shinier than the Xbox version, probably due to better lighting, however, jagged shadows and flat textures really detract from the overall look of the game. Lara's platforming is worst in this game. While not game-breaking it is incredibly frustrating, and the final battle already requires precision timing and skill, add in these problems and you'll find yourself retrying quite a bit through no fault of your own, but because of a system that should have already been fixed twice now. The puzzles take up entire levels this time and are really smart, maybe even requiring a quick peek into a strategy guide every now and then. This is my least favorite of the three. Legend, which was released first, is my favorite. It strayed away from the typical Tomb Raider formula with smaller areas to explore and smaller, more physics based puzzles. Don't take that to mean it has been dumbed-down, its just different, and I think paced better. Lara is at her best here in terms of control and platforming prowess. Puzzles, although smaller, are great fun and boss battles are more akin to third person shooter/action games than the other two that require equal parts strategy, gunplay and puzzle elements. It is basically shooting and dodging with special attacks tossed in for fun. This is easily the worst looking of all three, which is a shame because it never looked this bad on 360. What I think they did, as apposed to taking the 360 versions of these games and further improving them, was take the PS2 versions and upscale the resolution and smooth out textures and jaggies, to a certain degree. Character models are jagged, there is quite a bit of aliasing going on. Shadows and fire are blocky and move strangely. Textures are low-res and flat. To make up for this, a blur filter looks like it was added, I really don't like this, it gives the game a foggy look. All in all, graphical issues aside, this is a good package. These are three very good games at a good price($40). Each adventure is lengthy and fun, with time trials and a ton of unlockables to be found. The package also comes with a 30 minute video and a theme/avatar package on disc. It is a shame that more care was not put into the visuals of these games though. If you haven't played these games before, or if you've sold or traded them and are looking to pick them up again, this is how I would recommend purchasing them.… Expand

    So Lara returned after a rather horrific detour in Angel of Darkness which not only managed to highlight all of the problems that had been plaguing the series sequel after sequel yet proved once and for all that despite prettier graphics Lara's gameplay had to change...and fast. Whilst not quite the departure many were hoping for Legend is arguably the most fun in    Tomb Raider Legend

    So Lara returned after a rather horrific detour in Angel of Darkness which not only managed to highlight all of the problems that had been plaguing the series sequel after sequel yet proved once and for all that despite prettier graphics Lara's gameplay had to change...and fast. Whilst not quite the departure many were hoping for Legend is arguably the most fun in this bundle. It's short, lean and packs a nice visual punch with its environments and the controversial decision of 'tech support.' Gone is the sense of isolation but the OTT action sequences and grimacing quick time events added something else to what was pretty much the same game as the others. The length however is quite unjustifiable considering how much people would have paid for it. Still it bridged the gap that Angel of Darkness plummeted from. 7/10

    Tomb Raider Anniversary

    This rather unecessary remake made use of Legends new controls, tweaking the shoddy combat mechanisms that blighted that game slightly and the welcome return of what I call 'Tomb Raider Atmospherics' made this feel more enjoyable than the dated original. Of course as a remake it does not quite capture the nostalgia of the original and is no where near as fun as Legend. The camera is also more hideous than in its predecessor making for a rather hodge podge mess in stepping back and improving on the classic. Nevertheless as a port Anniversary cranked up the difficulty a notch from the ridiculously easy Legend, and jagged rock canyon was often where Lara would end up for being completely uncontrollable. Silly cow. 6.5/10

    Tomb Raider Underworld

    Critics cited this first 3rd generation Tomb Raider as less combat heavy and more into deep sea exploring. They obviously only played the first level and then began typing because this is a blatant lie. Swarm after swarm of bats, spiders and giant mutant lizards appear, and Underworld's response to a decade of crap combat was to make it as mute as it was in the original five. Adrenaline shots are more tedious to pull of than they are worth. However the biggest misgiving of this 'same old same old' adventure is the camera. I stopped playing Underworld completely on three different occasions, vowing each time never to place the disc in my PS3 ever again. Glitches galore coupled with this truly fatal camera ruined any chance Underworld had on being an improvement over the previous two efforts. The only new tricks Lara has here is the ability to climb and move more fluidly yet she still manages to hump everything in sight Also the eradication of bosses made this incredibly easy and the lack of challenge in the platforming sections just showed how much this game needed polishing. The latter levels in particular seemed rushed, completely at fault and caused my PS3 to crash many times in the Arctic Expedition. Disappointing to say the least as there are some great environments and sections here, but not enough to see this through. The weakest Tomb Raider since VI by miles. 5.4/10    … Expand

    Well for each game in the set I would give 8 to 8.5 if I played them back in those days when they were released.
    I loved the set. I liked the story. Not epic but the puzzles where fun.
    Hated the Camera battles. Wished there was a map for the collectibles because they are hard to spot most of the times. Overall I enjoyed playing the set. I wanted to know Lara Croft in her glory days    Well for each game in the set I would give 8 to 8.5 if I played them back in those days when they were released.

    This trilogy contains the remake of the first Tomb Raider ever and the first two episodes made by Crystal Dynamic, this is a true relic of the past since the reboot of the franchise and the changes made to the licence are pretty obvious after you played this game.

    Concerning the gameplay it's a mix of platforming, puzzle and action like any good adventure game, it may be a bit too easy and arcade, specially the gunfights with unlimited ammo and auto aiming, but it's never frustrating, in the contrary it's pretty fun and you'll love solving those puzzle like a true explorer.

    The story is pretty weak for the two first game of this trilogy but the third achieve to link all this and has a better writing, the voice overs are also pretty bad and contribute to this feeling of cheap movie. But the thrill of revisiting legends like Excalibur, Atlantis, Thor's hammer, etc. will keep you going if you are interested by all those stories. Each game last a little less than 10 hours, it's a bit short if you take it one by one, but the 25-30 hours needed for finishing the trilogy is way more acceptable.

    So in conclusion those games truly show the gap that was created by Uncharted when it came out, here the story is cheesy,and the arcade feeling cuts the immersion, despite some good puzzles and setting. Advisable for big adventure fans or old school gamers that want to play to the "old" Tomb Raider" games.    … Expand

    From a compilation or "archival" standpoint, this set is great at showing how much the series has evolved and grown. From a pure enjoyment standpoint, the first two games drag down the overall experience, not through any fault of the developer, but by simply not having benefited from the additional years of gameplay updates that current titles enjoy.

    Tomb Raider took a turn for the worse in the last decade, but unbeknownst to me, it rebounded back for a trilogy of good games. This collection gets them all together at a great price that will whet your appetite for the next game.
