    Monkey Island is a classic point and click adventure game, a genre that has almost completely disappeared in the last years (apart from a few indies), therefore if you like the genre you don't have a lot of options and Monkey Island is one of them, and lucky you, it's a good one with very nice hand painted graphics instead of the old version the rest of the game is more or less identicalMonkey Island is a classic point and click adventure game, a genre that has almost completely disappeared in the last years (apart from a few indies), therefore if you like the genre you don't have a lot of options and Monkey Island is one of them, and lucky you, it's a good one with very nice hand painted graphics instead of the old version the rest of the game is more or less identical and that's a good thing as the humour is still pretty funny and the puzzles are what you were looking for when buying this kind of game. Some of them are too unrealistic in my opinion (aka I found the solution trying everything that I could instead of logic items).
    Depending on your logic/luck the game will last between 5 and 15 hours, sometimes it may be frustrating but thanks to the joke all around it will never be boring.
    It's a good remake of a good game at an affordable price, but carrying the same flaws as the original, no new content and (like every puzzle based game) without replay value. So for those reasons I wouldn't recommend it to everyone but if you like to put your brain at work (and laugh every now and then) then The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition is a great option for you.    … Expand

    I can't believe it's taken me three years in getting around to playing this gem of a game. Having been unaware of the Monkey Island franchise until very recently, I was pleasantly surprised by this wonderful "HD" version of the 1990 original.

    It's a short(ish, depending on your puzzle-solving skills) game, but well worth the $10 you'll shell out for it. Not to mention writing that, in my mind, is on par with the likes of the Portal franchise for it's wit and incredibly fun humor.

    Es un juegazo sin lugar a dudas.. me recordó a mis partidas en el pc , pèro con mejores gráficos uno de los mejroes juegos para PS3 sin duda alguna.. clásicazo !

    Good remake of a masterpiece, though a little awkward to play on console. The puzzles are hard and you will get stuck often, but I don’t recommend looking up the solutions since that won’t be as fun.
