    The game it self is very good. the story line for the first time is great. the idea of the futue and the past meet the present is very simialar to Chrono Trigger in the idea only but it is the best sonic game to date based on grapics and gameplay :) Go sonic Go!!!

    I saw this game has lots of hate, but when i played the game myself.. i didn't feel like hating it or calling it bad... because it actually was an awesome fun game to play, and as i am a sonic fan i totally loved it!

    This Sonic Game may have a lot of hate, but let me tell you this....I LOVE THIS GAME!!! Its one of my Favorite Sonic Games. Not trying to be a Sonic Fanboy, but its true. Silver is Cool, Shadow is Great and Sonic is AWESOME!!

Never has a game had such marvelous skyboxes, in fact I daresay this game presents to us the finest skyboxes in the ENTIRE GAMING INDUSTRY. Indeed as an expert connoisseur of video games as art I am qualified to say that Sonic 06 is not only a work of art but it is indeed a revolutionary masterpiece that noI just want to say, the hate this game gets is entirely irrational and unfounded.     This game is amazing, there is not a single thing wrong with, it is the 2nd best sanic game ever only behind sanic bum rise of lyric. It's the reason to buy a PlayStation 3. SANIC4LIFE

    Dont listen to what people say when they tell you that this is a bad game; its probably one of the best Sonic games out there. When it was first released it had many glitches and long loading times due to it being sent out while still in development, however, the game has been fixed from that time it was first released in 2006 and is a very fun and will give you plenty of play time ^~^.Dont listen to what people say when they tell you that this is a bad game; its probably one of the best Sonic games out there.     Sonic 06 is great game for ps3 and 360. I love princess elise, sonelise, and the rest. Get sonic 06 for ps3 and 360, It's better than superman for n64.

    I'm gonna be honest I love this game. Not because it's a good gsme HEAVENS no but becaude its fun. Like genuinly I'll boot this game up and I will die of laughter, I will actually have genuine joy with this thing, and that is all I search for in a video game.

Another genius decision was being able to explore the town while fighting silver. Wait that was a glitch, oh. Well the flying boxes were neat. Oh thats a glitch.     I know this game gets a lot of hate, but I don't really care. I LOVE THIS GAME! I liked the multiple characters, even if some of them aren't that great, the level design is great with the many multiple pathways and allowing exploration, Silver is introduced to the game as a character that doesn't know what to do, but soon develops into something badass, the graphics are pretty good whenI know this game gets a lot of hate, but I don't really care. I really love the music in this game, it's my favourite Sonic soundtrack, and it has the best final boss of a Sonic game, which I won't spoil. There are some issues with it, like the load times, glitches, slowdown, all of Silver's Dusty Desert, but they're all outshined by the enjoyment I have with it. It was the first Sonic game I ever played, and it's my favourite Sonic game in the main series. Hate on me all you want. It won't change my opinion.… Expand

    Ich liebe das spiel. Es hat ne geile Story, abwechslungsreiches Gameplay mit 3 Charakteren, viel Umfang, schöne musik und schöne Grafik. Ich find es einfach ungerecht dass das game so gehatet wird. Weil es gibt noch andere spiele wo auch viele Bugs haben und die hatet keiner so hart.

    In my opinion, this game is a very cool game for my lovely ps3, and I'm not sorry about a single penny I spent on this game.

    In my opinion, this game is a very cool game for my lovely ps3, and I'm not sorry about a single penny I spent on this game.
    It has beautiful and very serious story that sonic games are lacking nowadays, very bold and unique Silver's gameplay. I never saw anything like that in any other game and I hella liked this psychokinetic gameplay! Also I liked the adventure-styled Sonic's gameplay, especially very fast mach-speed sections, you're really feeling yourself super-fast during them. Level design of this game is very diverse, you'll see both post-apocalyptic city and fantasy castle, underwater scientific lab and fantasy jungles, and all this diversity, surprisingly, fits each other well and don't make any dissonance while completing the game, I'll just clap to the devs for it, because it's very hard to do with such level-design diversity, many games failed in it. I also liked beautiful and rocking music this game has, there were many very talented groups like Crush 40 or Zebrahead. Even months after I completed the game I still listen to His World on repeat everyday! Also I liked very good cutscenes that perfectly showed the mood of scene and what characters of the scene are feeling right now. When Silver needs to shake because of despair, he's shaking, when Shadow needs to look bad-ass, he looks bad-ass! And it also has pretty good graphics for 2006 year, at least on PS3 version that I played. I don't want to spoil anything about the story, because I think that it's one of the main advantages of the game and it's worth to complete the game and know out the story by yourself, but I'll say that it have pretty much of drama, time travels, and it's one of two game stories that genuinely made me cry at the ending. One of the best game stories ever.
    At the end, I'll say that even though this game of course has some flaws, like very frequently loadings, especially during town missions, or some annoying bugs, they didn't ruin my experience of the beautiful gameplay, story, and level-design of the game at all, and I don't understand all the hate this game gets. Recommending anyone to play it, even if you are not a Sonic fan, this game is, in my opinion, an underrated masterpiece.    … Expand

    This game is my favorite of the franchise! I almost never stop playing.

    I love the gameplay, I love the story, I love the characters and I love Mephiles.

    I like that Sonic 06 is getting more appreciation now

Eggman. i one stood still on a loop de loop and was unable to move in that snow boarding stage. it is also the game that silver came from silver.people might say this is the worst game in the sonic series but i say its one of the best. not THE best but one of them. in my opinion this game has a great story,variety, and (i mean it) game play. the only thing it lacks is the physics and dr.     Sonic 06 is an underrated game. Screw the reviews and complaints it gets. This game rules. The stages are fun, the graphics are amazing, the soundtrack is awesome. I know Sonic 06 does have it's problems but that does not make it bad. And also the Silver boss fight is great especially if you are Shadow!

    Un gioco che ha deluso molti amanti della serie ma che personalmente a me è piaciuto molto,forse avrei preferito che avessero migliorato il gameplay e che avessero diminuito i troppi bug,tuttavia la storia è qualcosa di spettacolare,mi ha saputo coinvolgere dall'inizio alla fine e tra l'altro la colonna sonora è una tra le migliori che io abbia mai ascoltato in un videogioco.

    Great Game! There are some glitches and some camera problems but It's story and gameplay hides the problems. The story is really long but really exciting and it's really hard to complete the game which makes it better.

    This game is honestly a 10/10 on its own, exactly what a Sonic game should be, and strive to improve based on. Great story, fantastic characters with great characterization, fun gameplay, amazing level design. And not being forced into living Amy is a great change, since nobody really liked her as a romance partner. Moreso    This is just another game the internet nutjobs with no life hates.

Sonic and Blaze function better than the others, however. Speaking of characters, there are a lot of them to play as, which adds variety. Loading times are occasionally long, but you won't mind if you are patient like me. Stage missions are a ton of fun, but only half of the town missions are fun. Stage missions vary from character to character. Sonic and Shadow are about the same, except Shadow's missions allow you to use cool vehicles, and Sonic has mach speed in certain levels. Some people think mach speed is difficult, but if you use the light speed dash move to follow ring paths, they are easy. Silver, the other main character, is slower, but he makes up for it by having psychic powers, which allow him to deflect objects at enemies. The maturity of the story is executed better than the game Shadow The Hedgehog. I love the graphics. Rarely has there been more detail in a Sonic game. There is not a single track of music in this game that is bad either. Other editions include gems, which are items that you can buy from stores. They give Sonic some cool powers, including the ability to shrink, extra speed, and flight. Sure, there are a lot of glitches here, but they don't make the game unplayable. In fact, some of the glitches are amusing. The only glitch that I did not like is the one where the characters Rouge and Knuckles are stuck to walls. Other than that, I find nothing really wrong. Its not bad, but it is not really really good. It is perfect for real fans of the series. I have played and beaten both the ps3 and Xbox360 versions of the game and they are exactly the same.… Expand

    I am a huge sonic fan and I am truthful so I gave the game a 8. This game is totally underrated and deserves better. The levels have a lot of variety though some are pretty annoying but there is fun even in those levels. I like that the game has a variety of characters and so the story is told in different angles which is good.     For me, this game is enjoyable both ironically and not. This is probably one of the most important things in my collection. I have finished this game 3 times. The worst of the bugs that it has is climbing walls as Knuckles and Rouge, the rest is passable.

    Underrated as all hell. This game has LOTS of qualities. A good enough story, a very swell presentation level, and of course, the gameplay is great. Worth the price nowadays.

The large variety of playable characters and styles is great with the exception of Amy who I feel was a little lacking in abilities compared to others. Graphics are pretty good but shadow shading is a bit too noticeable at times. Frame rate is not consistent on certain stages (mostly Kingdom Valley and Aquatic Base from my experience). I think the relationship between Sonic and Elise could have been more interesting if Amy were thrown into the mix. If this game were given more development time I am certain that this would have been a great game.… Expand

A bit half ***ed yes but still pretty epic. I loved Silver and the reappearance of blaze. The glitches were plentiful but aren't they in every game? There hilarious too, i loved the loop-d-loop floor is the ceiling glitch. Could have gone without the girl-on-hedgehog though. I really wish they'd bring back mephiles though. In my opinion he was the best villain in the series. Eggman's got that vague plan for world domination by making everyone explode from laughing at his stupidity and egg shaped *** and his monsters are ok but mephiles literally KILLED sonic. Usual villians rarely even get close but mephilies looks at sonic, and just shoves a crystal through sonic's chest while everyone playing puts on there best "oh ****" face. The game was bad but forgivable because of the deadline, and i hope one day SEGA remakes it into a none rushed version.… Expand

    Well, this game isn’t perfect (which is something you say with every Sonic game) and it’s not a good as Sonic Generations or Unleashed, but as much as this game may be broken, I actually enjoyed it. It’s level design may not be the best and the controls are sensitive, but you can get used to it. Sonic 06 is not great, but there is still fun to be had.

Not gonna give a 10 to it because it can be a very stresfull game, and the story sometimes makes absolutly no sense. Anyways, this is the sonic game wich has the BETTER ideas and concepts of his, for now, 31 years.

    Starting off, the gameplay has a poor sense of control. Physics are non-existent here and characters move at a mix of either    Sonic The Hedgehog, dubbed "Sonic 06" is a game that was rushed to release to celebrate Sonic's 15th anniversary. Sadly, because of this, its great ambition was missed and has sadly made its way into the gaming hall of shame. But what did I think of this game?

    Starting off, the gameplay has a poor sense of control. Physics are non-existent here and characters move at a mix of either fairly fast or agonisingly slow paces that can lead to some of the game's greatest problems. All, save for Sonic and Blaze control at a very slow and awkward pace, which is usually accompanied by a poor flight/air mechanic that - if used correctly can increase the player's travel speed. Otherwise this makes the gameplay painful in terms of a Sonic experience control-wise. Since the game defies physics, expect a lot of awkward oddities and glitches that will or will not mess up the game, due to the game's rushed development, the coding also lacks its polish and though some glitches can be seen as funny, many will more than likely annoy the player into rage-quitting. That is if you can find the levels to get into as the hub-world is so gigantic, bland and maze-like that finding your way is about as easy as opening that darn pickle jar and even when you know your way around, it's still bound to take you a fair period of time to get there and all the while being quite boring with the music as your only substance.

    On the plus side of things, the level designs are rather decent and arguably some of them are quite fun and enjoyable... Once you get the hang of it, at least... Many levels follow some cool fun set-pieces and level gimmicks that add some diversity to areas you're playing in. Many times this can be seen as a rollercoaster ride, and can leave a pleasant memorable impact in some cases.

    The music is probably the best part about the game as this game sports an awesome and fairly diverse soundtrack that suits every level well and a few are almost bound to stick with you for some time or put a (sub-conscious) smile on your face. It all in all is great to listen to.

    The visuals are mostly poor and beta-y. save for the CG. Most levels look like they were done in a hurry, fittingly enough though as the game itself was rushed, but that does not excuse shoddy work. Models lacking in a lot of categories, an example being that they barely have mouths, you'll see them only so appear in cutscenes many times, not helped by their lack of facial emotions, and how their characters look so poorly animated and in many ways lifeless. In the CG however, it can look very cinematic and awesome in its own right, the game doesn't hold back in its CG department for presentation.

    The story is one that I could ramble about for a while so I'll make it simple. Don't think about this story. The story is filled with so many problems, plot-holes, and poor logic that it makes it near impossible to make sense out of. The main thing with this story is you can kind of make some sense out of it if you don't think too hard about it. Like Sword Art Online in a sense, if you think deeply about this story, you're only going to make it hard on yourself, and you can't be blamed for it, but at the same time it's good to keep that in mind. But I digress. The story is filled with a lot of serious moments and action that does occasionally make you feel like you're watching a movie of sorts, and does well to get your excited and may satisfy you in one way or another.

    All in all, Sonic 06 is just guilty pleasure worthy, some, namely Sonic fans may like it. However this is not one of the best Sonic games to choose from, anything but, but I would say if you can find it cheap and/or are curious, it may be worth checking out. It's not good, but it can still be enjoyed in some ways.    … Expand

    this game had more potencial than sonic boom, but it was not exploited at all.. but i think is a regular game, i like gameplay and the graphics are regular for that time... i have the game for ps3 so when i played it my first impression was: SEGA!!!!! YOU RUINED A GAME WITH POTENCIAL!!!!

You have to grind on his tail and stuff, but you could never really see where he was, as the camera didn't follow him. They could have made it more like the Sonic Adventure Chaos 0 fight when the camera always follows the boss, and that would really help with the boss. Same thing with silver, my camera isn't on him, and oops, im dead. I found that the silver infinite loop isnt actually infinite, you can just hold down right and you can get out, still unfair though. The hubworlds are fun to mess around in, and although the NPC's models look weird, some of the town missions are actually pretty fun and involve speed and combat. Silver as a whole the puzzles are very slow, and although you can skip them with glitches, that is unintended and doesn't make it better. Shadow is just in the middle. The controls are kind of touchy, but that is mainly because the speed sections and platforming sections control the same. It was the same thing in Sonic Adventure and Adventure 2, but 06's level design doesnt work as well with it. 6/10, i would recommend it to a fan of the adventure games that doesn't have to high hopes, but anyone else steer clear.… Expand

    Los tiempos de carga no son largos, pero son MUY pesados y mal optimizados ( aunque en 360 duran menos ) y lo qué tiene esta versión son las ralentizaciones en algunas partes, aunque prefiero jugar así qué a 10FPS con el Werehog en Unleashed de PS3.

    No entiendo cómo este juego tiene tan malas críticas, ya qué tiene los mismos problemas de jugabilidad qué Sonic Adventure ( en cuánto a cámara y control ) aunque algo qué hace a este título algo más malo es su casi nulo motor de física y los tiempos de carga, pero tiene una historia MUY buena, una jugabilidad algo mediocre, pero aceptable, y una duración bastante larga.    … Expand

    I know this game is bad but i liked, not recomended for everyone, but he deserves a little second chance.

The vehicles in the Shadow levels are pointless and hardly turn up. A couple of the bosses are the most infuriating and rubbish bosses I've ever come across, for example: Shadow vs. Silver, and Sonic vs. Silver. The last level is horrifyingly awful. But there are good things about the game..... The story line is interesting and well-written. The cut-scenes are cool, especially the CGI ones. The controls work pretty well. The sonic levels are actually pretty good (they'd be a heck of a lot better if the slow down was gone and if it was more fast-paced, well, the same goes for every character's levels...). Some of the bosses are great. The menus work well. The whole feel of the game is good. That's about it. To conclude: this game was a huge disappointment which is sometimes a pain to play, Sega could of made it loads better if they just revised it and fixed a lot of things, all we'd have to do is wait for a year or two.     It's not the worst Sonic game. For Sonic's story, Radical Train and a couple of other levels were fun, but some of the levels on Sonic's story sucked. For Shadow's story, same as Sonic's. And for Silver, he was the worse. I gave it a 5 because, look at the negative reviews, and because some of the levels were good.

    In retrospect, the insufferable story and total lack of polish are major downsides, but the core gameplay is conceptually sound, and perfectly playable. Couple that with good graphics and sound, and you have a game that somehow seems to be better in hindsight than on release, now that there is no hype to lead to utter disappointment.

Don't get me wrong it is a bad game that it's hard for me to recommend to someone. The game has many glitches, but they didn't bother me that much cause I didn't come across them so often like probably many ppl. did. The story is just lame, the crappy romance with Sonic and Elise (she's probably the worst character in the Sonic franchise) like who the hell cares about Elise and all her problems?? Also Sonic is a **** hedgehog! His eyeball is bigger then Elise's head, and no it's not something like Mario and Peach, because THERE IS NO ROMANCE. A simple invite to a cake and a kiss doesnt make a love story or something like that, same with Amy because she's Sonic's fangirl. The controls are just garbage, they feel so clunky and unpolished as hell. There are 3 diffrent characters and story lines Sonic's controls are least broken and his levels are the best in the entire game. In Sonic 06 nothing just work as it should and that's the worst part of the game. Shadow's story is weird, but the most interesting of them all, and better then in Shadow The Hedgehog for sure. Because he joined G.U.N? Why? What's the point of it? Guess we never will get a answer. Shadow plays like Sonic but is really slow, moving acros the open world cities is a pain and it's even worse with Silver cause he's even slower. And Shadow has ton of wechicles witch non of them are fun too play (i can't remember how the motocycle played like). Silver's gameplay is just bad, there's no god method for the telekines. Personaly i like Silver as a Character, but his voice in 06 is just so bad and annoying. Also the game is rushed. THEY WANTED TO MAKE A REVOLUTION SONIC GAME THEY SAID! AND WORSE THEY EVEN SPLIT THE TEAM! Ok. let's talk about the good side's of the game. The soundtrack is fantastic (personaly my favorite Sonic soundtrack ever), some of the stages are actualy good the problem is the cotrols are garbage so you will die often because of them. Mephiles the main villan is great personaly my favorite in the entire Sonic universe even tho his plan kind of sucked. Ya know what's the worst about the story? No, not the god awful kiss, not the ridicuals time travel, but the story like never happend. Sonic and Elise go to the past where Solaris was just a little flame and then Elise blow out the flame. That's it, all this never happend THE END.

    Summarizing Sonic The Hedgehog 2006 is a really bad game, if you never played a Sonic game and you want to buys 06 don't buy it. Buy Generations insted, but if you played every Sonic game out there and only 06 left for you sure go ahead remember it will not be good.     The worst sonic games I ever played. The game is full of bugs and the story is terrible. Only one positive thing about this game are soundtrack. They are oustanding! Some characters got better gameplay (Blaze, Omega, Silver) some worse ( Sonic, Shadow, Amy) and som of them neutral (knuckles, rouge, tails). Sonic 06 is mediocre and frustrating game and i dont reccomend it.

Literally every quest starts like this > Talk to npc quest giver >>> load for 30 seconds >> npc tells you one more line of information about the quest >>> load for 30 more seconds >> play the quest if you fail, you have to go through all the loading over again. it is unimaginably annoying. on top of that, at 1080i resolution, there is a massive amount of framerate slowdown in even the most obscure, unpopulated areas. when you have 3 or more bad guys on you, its like youre playing in slow motion. and the camera, wow. it can make it impossible to play at parts. you cant see where you need to go, or where the powerups are at. and if this all wasn't enough, the voice acting is just terrible. every time you talk to an NPC they all make a one word sound like "Huh?" or "Heyy!" in a really cheesy ps1 quality sound. ug but the gameplay is really fun when you get the alternate characters. thats about the only really great aspect of the game. I would not recommend this game to anyone, it is not worth buying in any way. if you must play it, please rent it, and thatll still set you back $10 and not worth even that… Expand

Downsides include muddy, undetailed graphics, long(er) loading screens than the 360 version, and more glitches than the original. And to top it off, this game came out 3 months later after the 360 version did, which was more than enough time for Sonic Team to fix the problems of What was Sega thinking?! Unlike the 360 version of this game, there is nearly nothing good about this P.O.S. The other reason is because I like to use failures such as this to learn from for future titles in this series or other games. Consider this a teaching and learning exercise for all of us.
    The story is fairly standard with Sonic showing up to save a princess from Robotnik/Eggman who has found an evil magic McGuffin to help him take over the world in his vaguely evil plan. The McGuffin turns out to be a real monster that rebels against him and turns into a bigger monster that will destroy all of reality. Sonic is killed and brought back to life DBZ style just in time to take it a step farther and go Super Saiyan along with his buddies Shadow and Silver. So it is pretty much Sonic Adventure but with an added human-character love interest that gets kind of creepy as well as a new story line that pretty much gives Sonic (Goku) a Trunks character in the way of Silver the Hedgehog.
    Each storyline plays out like a different bad train wreck. Each has their own bugs unique to them and it shows just how rushed this game's production was to have so many ideas and not enough time to polish them and make them really stand out. There were some genuinely good ideas here, and I feel like some were even built off from for the currently good games (like Colors or Generations).
    Sonic plays as per the norm except now his controls are worse. His spindash and homing attack have weirder physics to them. He has special sections called "Mach Speed Zones" where he runs at full speed through parts of levels where hitting an obstacle can send him flying off the stage or just lose his rings. Knowing exactly what is an obstacle and what isn't can be tough at times. Controlling his direction is a bit of a challenge like a pig rapist is a bit on the creepy side. These are essentially the worst parts of the game, often taking all your lives and requiring a full-level restart to actually beat. Tails joins Sonic's storyline as a playable character, giving us the SECOND worst part of the game. He handles poorly in the air. His attacks are both stupid and unreliable. On the ground he's somewhat slow. And we're never given much time as Tails to really get handle for the bad controls anyway. Knuckles also joins the fray, but his controls aren't as offensive and his sections are MUCH MUCH shorter and less numerous.
    Shadow brings some of that "Shadow the Hedgehog" gameplay to the table with some vehicles and guns. However, this time, the dev team decided to save time and effort by combining the two instead of having guns and vehicles being separate things. A good idea in theory, as it would reduce the loading times and lag that this game already has instead of making it worse. But trying to drive these uncontrollable monstrosities and shoot at something is about as easy as a mountain lion without being maimed. Not to mention Shadow's gameplay much slower and, at times, tedious because you have to destroy all the enemies in an area to progress and you don't even get the fun Chaos powers from his own game to at least make it bearable. There are sections where you play as Rogue the Bat and Omega. They aren't terrible. Just weird.
    Lastly, there is Silver. He is probably the best main character to play as simply because combat for his sections is much easier and less stressful. His gameplay is also slower, but that's because his levels focus more on exploration, genuine platforming and (a few times) puzzle solving. In the hands of a dev team that was actually trying or had been giving time to make this fun, this would have been the highlight of an otherwise servicable Sonic game. As it stands, his levels are merely PLAYABLE with heap amounts of to help keep this consistent with the rest of the game. Puzzles are not explained well and even if they're figured out, still require massive amount of trail and error. Combat MUST BE with his powers and he can't do anything without them. And the platforming is sometimes unreliable and can even be broken by using your powers to get to places in unintended ways.
    Sonic 2006 is an example of a rushed game with many bold ideas that could have been one of the best games of all time. But whoever was in charge of putting this together didn't have the time needed to make it work. The result was a sloppy mess of a game and probably the biggest mark against the Sonic franchise entirely. I'm glad to see SOME elements of this game have evolved and made their way into more recent games. And, anything deserves a remake, it's this game. A good version of this would be nice.    … Expand

    Ha ha. This game is so terrible. It took me a month to finally beat it. It gets really boring when you're in Shadow and Silver's campaigns, Sonic's campaign is sorta fun. And the story sucks... but hey, we still have that scene where Shadow kicks Silver in the back of the head to look back on.

The SUPER glitchy controls to the overall plot, it was very difficult to even finish the game. The plot was messy and the romance between Sonic and Elise was absolute crap.     The game itself was not bad ERA PÉSIMO! The game itself would have been a fairly passable game clear if they had finished, the game has many bugs, a story a little loose and was responsible for the decline of one of the most beloved mascots of gaming unfortunately.

    How bad for sonic you do not deserve it friend 4/10

    I have been a Sonic fan for many years, and very little games have disappointed me. However, this is unfortunately one of those games that carried so much potential, and yet was wasted in execution. Due to SEGA rushing themselves to get this out for Sonic's 15th birthday, the gameplay is simply a broken mess.
    However, the story can be really interesting. Well, Shadow and Silver's stories, anyway. Sonic's story is based around rescuing Princess Elise III of Soleanna. Now, I don't mean to offend Elise, but can we compare how many times she's been kidnapped in this ONE GAME ALONE compared to the amount of times Princess Peach Toadstool was kidnapped?
    Shadow's story shows him now working for G.U.N, but is trapped in a dilemma created by Mephiles (more on him soon) that his friends will eventually abandon him, leaving him to face the world alone. 3 words for Sonic Team - OW THE EDGE.
    Silver's story makes him the most developed - as a fighter from the future, he is tricked by Mephiles to attempt defeating Sonic in order to change his future. I just love how he's so intrigued by the atmosphere of the present. It's adorable. But his gameplay still sucks. I don't have time for your apples, Silver.
    And speaking of Mephiles, let's talk about him. No doubt, he is the real villain of this game, and he is epic! He is the mind of Solaris, separated from the god's body known as Iblis. In order to reunite with Iblis, Mephiles has to release the Flames of Disaster from within Elise by making her cry. This is why he tricks Silver into thinking Sonic is the Iblis Trigger, as if he knows Elise will form an attachment to Sonic and therefore cry when Mephiles... let's just say he accomplishes his goal in a historic execution that is then crushed by the cringiest scene in Sonic history. You guys know the one.

    But in my opinion, this is a game that contained high potential for the Blue Blur, but because of the rushed development, the departure of Yuji Naka, and Sonic Team split in half to work on 2 different games at the same time, we ended up with a broken mess. It's not Sonic's worst game (*cough* Sonic Boom *cough*) but it's still pretty bad. My recommendation for this game would be for you to form your own opinion on this game through experience.     This game has nothing good, except the music, atleast it gives me a reason to give it 4/10 instead of a 1/10.
    This game looked so great, that's the ultimate proof that you must NEVER judge a book based on its cover.
    The least annoying story between the 3 stories is probably Sonic's one.

    It sucks that Silver debuted in this game since he's pretty hated and it's been wonky to fit him into Sonic's universe because of it. I at least like some of the soundtracks in the game which're memorable to me. His World, All Hail Shadow, Dreams Of An Absolution, White Acropolis, Flame Core, Aquatic Base... I love 'em so much.     Also, that one scene where Sonic is revived by a kiss from Elise (well, specifically the Chaos Emeralds)... that wasn't necessary and it's personally not even because of the whole "human × anthropomorphic" thing. It was just pointless really, especially when Knuckles prolly could've did a chant and accomplished the same thing, not to mention Amy's hilarious would-be reaction to that. What that whole sub-plot should've been was one about inspiring Elise to live up to her title as Princess of Soleanna, if anything.    … Expand

Bad controls, a very strange camera, lags and slowdowns in the PlayStation 3 version, an infinite number of bugs in the Xbox 360 version. Add the bad acting of American actors, who clearly did it on get away, some unnecessary and unfinished gameplay elements. And it turns out we have a complete disaster. Although, it was worse, and even now some games in the series are much worse than this ****
    In short, the game gets from me:

    While it is very pretty and some of the gameplay styles are interesting, but that doesn't excuse Sonic 06's very complicated and nonsensical plot, and the overabundance of glitches and bugs that have clearly not been tested.

Что там с Сильвером? Это Наклз скрещённый с Тейлзом. Литает на расстояние 1-го метра, пьяный и 1-номиллиметровые руки.     I'm surprised that I don't HATE this game. I don't like the missions, there's the constant lagging, and the glitches. But once you get into a stage, you start having some fun. The issue though is that the moment it gets going it either stops or loads the second part. Also, the mach-run sections. The story is okay, but inconsistent.

    If you want a Sonic game that's actually GOOD, there are several options: 1) dust off your Sega Genesis and fire up Sonic 1 or 2, 2) dust off your Dreamcast and fire up Sonic Adventure, or 3) get Sonic and the Secret Rings for the Wii. Sure, all three options involve neglecting your 360 or PS3, but it's better than TORTURING them with this piece of garbage.

    Not the platforming game of the 90s that I remembered. My wife picked it out of a bargin bin for our kids. While the cutscenes are stunning to see on an 52" HDTV, that's about all that's entertaining about this game that tries to develope an Final Fantasy format. My kids don't care to play it past the first hour/ hour and a half. Good thing it didn't cost us much.

    Sonic the Hedgehog isn't just the worst Sonic game to date... it's also the worst game of 2006. Pros: Fantastic FMVs; overall, there's a lot of variety in the gameplay. Cons: Far too many glitches to bugs; unresponsive controls and camera; poor level design; it has one of the most cringe-worthy kisses in gaming history, as well as a ridiculous storyline.

I can't see how the sonic fanboys can say this game is "perfect" when it's not it is horribly flawed and it's a glitched out mess. Example: you can't walk in a straight line on the edge of a sidewalk without it getting stuck, if you stand still your AI companions will disappear and respond in their death animation, The environments were completely Bland and low textured and so were the people and monsters. you can really tell this game is rush if they use the same monsters for both Iblis and you can really tell this game is rush if they use the same monsters for both Iblis and mephalis but change the colors so you can tell which group of monsters belong to who. if you're going to bite his game you're better off using the CD shiny side up as a coaster so we can get scratched up and destroyed.… Expand

    Im here to tell you all this game sucks.the glitches,and the freaking silver boss battle the only good thing about this game is the music which i agree is better than ROL but the cgi are good,and the cutscenes(not the cgi) is just ps2 era,what i really hate about this game is the beastiality eww.Please Do not buy this game 3/10 nothing else to say except ITS NO USE.

    When I opened the box. I was very excited. I have played a demo of this game and I was looking forward to it's fast moving levels. But instead I am served with a dull boring game. Right away when you have control of Sonic the Frame rate of the game begins to slow the game down at very random moments.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. sonic 06...ugghhhh. this game is balls sonic controls like he did in the other 3d sonic games but slower and given a ton of glitches and downgrades compared to previous games. in certain parts of levels he DECIDES to run fast and these levels control even worst than before such as you cannot move in midair. plus the level design is horrid. tails controls like he did in adventure but his flight is more stiff and during flight tails will randomly loose all momentum and fall.knuckles and rouge control like they did in adventure 2 but they are much slower. tails and rouge both use bombs to attack but they are next to worthles. well at least knuckles can still attack =). knuckles and rouge also have a glitch that when they are climbing walls they get stuck and you will be suck for a long time. shadow controls like sonic but slower and has some worthless attacks to replace useful attacks that sonic had. omega or e - 123 is goddamn game breaking. by mashing the hover button you can fly wherever you want and did i mention he runs faster than sonic? silver is pretty interesting. he can telepathicly pick thiungs up and he can hover for a limited time. but in this game however good comes with a price and that price is he is slow. amy is the worst character in the game. she is like adventure where she already was bad but now... she is to bad to explain. the only character worth playnig as is blaze who is fast and is pretty much what sonc should have been. too bad she has few levels. this game has horrendis load times. be sure to have a snack with you while playing this game. this game however has 1 redeming factor which is the soundtrack. go to truesonic1's youtube chanel to see what i mean. if you have never played this you should pity those who have… Expand

Shadow's gameplay is like Sonic except it focuses on a combination of speed and combat. Shadow's gameplay is not really good, as there are as many bugs and glitches as Sonic's. And then there is Silver who is a psychic hedgehog who randomly throws objects across the stage. I got this game in the bargain bin for $10 but it was not even worth that. If you even think about buying this game, you will regret it for the rest of your life.… Expand

    If you're willing to withstand the constant onslaught of glaring issues regarding the control, you might be able to revel in some of those aforementioned highlights, but it won't last. In the end, you'll find yourself wishing for the good ol' 16-bit days.
