    The concept of this game is amazing. A former outlaw in the Wild West, choosing who you want to be. Incredible gameplay, story, and world as a whole. Best third party game of the generation.

    Poco más que añadir, lo único que no me ha gustado es que lo haya jugado tan tarde. Tardé como un año o dos desde su salida en jugarlo.

    Red Dead Redemption 2 is an incredible game, and so a lot of people have come to play this game as a result. The problem is, Red Dead Redemption 2 is great for many different reasons, but the original Red Dead Redemption was only good for one. The incredible writing.

Red Dead Redemption es un juegazo a todos los niveles: la ambientación western está tan conseguida que consigue transportarte a esa época; la narrativa es muy buena, con personajes e historias secundarias realmente interesantes; los personajes son muy carismáticos y profundos; el mundo abierto tiene muchas cosas porA día de hoy, este juego se sigue sintiendo como el día de su salida. Red Dead Redemption es un juegazo a todos los niveles: la ambientación western está tan conseguida que consigue transportarte a esa época; la narrativa es muy buena, con personajes e historias secundarias realmente interesantes; los personajes son muy carismáticos y profundos; el mundo abierto tiene muchas cosas por hacer; la música es simplemente sublime e inmejorable; y los gráficos siguen manteniendo el tipo a día de hoy y no se siente anticuado (a pesar de algún que otro bajón de fps en PS3). Como puntos negativos: algunas misiones secundarias son de recadero (ir y volver) y quizá se nota algo anticuado en este apartado actualmente por las mecánicas algo simples y escasas. A pesar de ello, personalmente Red Dead Redemption me ha conseguido transmitir con su historia y su argumento una empatía hacía diversos personajes, algo que no consigue cualquier juego. Recomiendo esta obra maestra a cualquiera que quiera vivir una experiencia inolvidable. 9,5/10

    Story 10/10. At the very beginning it seems a little lackluster, but after some time you just cannot stop playing.

    Gameplay feels outdated, but killing hundrend of soulless dummy npcs like come kind of a superman is somewhat fun.

    Solid 9/10.

    In my 30 years of gaming, Red Dead Redemption is my favourite game to date. It’s a shame R* didn’t supersede this with RDR2. A true Masterpiece if you’re into Wild West movies and feel like taking the role of the lead character.

    O jogo se passa em 1911 durante o declínio do Velho Oeste e segue a história de John Marston, um antigo caçador de recompensas que tem sua esposa e filho tomados como reféns pelo governo para forçá-lo a trabalhar como seu caçador contratado. Um dos melhores jogos que já joguei.

    I found the story of a common man versus the government to be intriguing. The characters were convincing and the minigames were very fun. The gameplay is nothing special and exactly like GTA.

    Really disappointing that this never came to PC. Finally got to play it with PS3 emulator on PC, because that's pretty much only way to experience this masterpiece on PC. It's fully playable with keyboard/mouse, in case anyone wants to try. Overall this game has this late 2000s/early 2010s games feeling/atmosphere and i love it. GTA 4 has similar vibe. Would recommend.

    What a beautiful game such an expansive outstanding experience where you genuinely believe you are in the old west. my only problem with the game is the fact that travelling from place to place could be a bit of a repetitive task, besides that there is nothing wrong with this game I would recommend to anyone. the game is also surprisingly accurate to the wild west era with very little variation.

    One of the most iconic Westerns in the videogame industry, perhaps Rockstar's very first "serious" game.

    The story is memorable and the atmosphere is depressing and gritty which I adore.

    Gameplay-wise it's quite slow but I enjoyed it a lot, I don't mind slow paced gameplay as long as it works well.

    This game is a classic.

    Final Rating: "Amazing" ~ 9/10.

Gerade die ersten Stunden des Games, wo noch alles neu und frisch ist, ziehen den Spieler wie magisch in den Bann. Die Geschichte um JohnRed Dead Redemption ist neben GTA5 sicherlich das ambitionierteste Open World Adventure der PS3 Ära. Was dieses Spiel letztlich so faszinierend macht, ist die unglaublich lebendige und authentische Wildwest Atmosphäre die Rockstar hier geschaffen hat. Gerade die ersten Stunden des Games, wo noch alles neu und frisch ist, ziehen den Spieler wie magisch in den Bann. Die Geschichte um John Marlston, einem ehemaligen Outlaw, der sich eigentlich bereits zur Ruhe gesetzt hatte, seiner Vergangenheit letztlich aber doch nicht entfliehen kann, ist hervorragend gewählt, um das Bild einer Zeit zu malen, in der alles im Umbruch ist. Zudem bringt Rockstar die Geschichte um Marlston auf eine eher überraschende Weise zu ihrem Ende, die wieder einmal davon zeugt, dass Rockstar keine Scheu hat Dinge auch mal anders zu machen. Dass man nicht einfach bedienen will, was das Genre erwartet, sondern die Geschichten erzählen will, auf die man auch Bock hat.

    Das Questdesign ist auch in RDR hervorragend gelungen, da sehr abwechslungsreich, und lebt nicht zuletzt auch von seinen charakterstarken NPCs. Auch hinsichtlich der Gameplaymechaniken erlaubt sich Rockstar keine wirklichen Schnitzer. Gut, nicht alles ist wirklich intuitiv gelöst, bei manchen Mechaniken fragt man sich schon, ob man das nicht eleganter hätte umsetzen können. Dennoch, im Gegensatz zu einem GTA5 spielt sich Red Dead durchgehend flüssig. Allerdings werden Quests, Rockstar typisch, weiter als eigene Kapitel behandelt. Verkackt man irgendwo, hat dies oft ein "Mission failed" zur Folge und die Aktion wird von vorne gestartet. Die Freiheit aktueller PS4 Open World Titel, wo man aus Missionen im Zweifel auch einfach flüchten, und diese später wieder aufnehmen kann, die hat man bei Red Dead Redemption nicht.

    Neben L.A. Noire ist Red Dead Redemption sicherlich die intensivste Spielerfahrung, die Rockstar Games bisher realisiert hat. Schade dass es, im Gegensatz zu GTA5 und L.A. Noire, keine Remaster Version des Titels für die PS4 gibt. Da RDR2 jedoch bereits in den Startlöchern steht, sei Rockstar dies einmal verziehen.    … Expand

    When I first playing this game I was astonished by the graphics was not outdated even after 12 years already! The issues about graphic is the anti aliasing, it looks inefficient. This game is really detailed about NPC, you can literally looking at them playing harmonica at some random camp!     One of the best games that I ever play, the history is one of the best in the videogames. The number of things you can do in the game is also very good, I spent hours walking around the map and completing various secondary missions that did have their degree of difficulty. Well deserved that it won the GOTY.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Going back and playing Red Dead Redemption after its prequel game shows a lot of the places where it tends to fall back. The gameplay feels a lot more tight and stilted, and while the pace is a lot faster than RDR2, the first act or so isn't as incredible as I remember. However, this game still remains an absolute classic to play. The story is amazing and the characters are fully realized and developed. The open world truly feels like the "Wild" West unlike RDR2, and the more gritty tone lends itself to its depressing conclusion. This game is on par with its prequel and both games deserve to be recognized as some of the best in the industry. Even on its own, the original Red Dead Redemption remains an alltimer in Rockstar's catalogue.… Expand

    Perfeição,o John Marston é só o melhor protagonista de jogos de todos,mundo aberto insano de grande mesmo não tendo muita coisa pra fazer de secundario,historia muitoooo!!! boa,zerei 100% e o traje que libera é bem interessante,minha unica "critica" é que não tem muita variedade de roupa.

    I never loved Rockstar Games. I felt they weren't for me. Games are too large and feel empty. Stories weren't too engaging for me. But Red Dead Redemption stands out from other Rockstar gmes.
    One of the best stories in gaming history. Characters fascinate you from very beginning. World is crammed with interesting side quests and interesting activities.
    Masterpiece from Wild West.

    It's fine. I honestly don't think it was that good though, the setting was great but it really did nothing gameplay-wise. The slower-paced gameplay worked, but the storytelling in videogames has come on a long way since 2010

Muitas vezes, durante algumas viagens, eu parava para apreciar o cenário e as vezes cavalgava pelo simples  prazer de passear pelas regiões do mapa.     I'm not a huge fan of GTA games. I've played them all and enjoyed most of them, sure. Every new game released by R* is always something that people tend to congregate around and marvel at the incredible skill of these developers.
    RDR is one of the rare cases where a game made by R* not only went on to become my favourite among all of their games they had released up until that point, but    I'm not a huge fan of GTA games.     It's quite possibly their best work for the 7th gen consoles, surpassing both GTA4 and GTA5.
    Yes, the familiar templates of Rockstar's flawed game design can still be found here, though the mission design hadn't yet become stale.

    I found myself completing the stranger missions (Side quests) because of how unique all the characters were, yes some were fetch quests but the story is worth completing them. The characters you meet all leave a lasting impression no matter how brief the encounter. A few of my favorites were a crazy old grave robber, a cannibal & a snake oil merchant.

    I played this on release and recently replayed it after playing the second installment, and it's just as good as I remember it. You can easily spend 50+ hours on this game, and once you complete that you could move onto the DLC zombie title Undead nightmare.    … Expand

    This is my favorite game ever. I have played 4 times and never is enough. Hunting, riding, and being John Marston is always a deep experience. Outlaws to the end!

    There are too many overrated games that get remasters! This one should be ported to PC and get a proper remaster so that PlayStation and PC users can enjoy it too!
