    Just when I thought my disrespect for IGN couldn't drop lower... Ok, let's look at a bit of gaming history since there are quite a few wet behind the ear "reviewers" out there that want to quote things in biblical style. First of all, Sierra Online Network had Red Baron on it's service. It was a very trimmed down version of this game played on a 2400 baud modem. Ok, let's look at a bit of gaming history since there are quite a few wet behind the ear "reviewers" out there that want to quote things in biblical style. First of all, Sierra Online Network had Red Baron on it's service. It was a very trimmed down version of this game played on a 2400 baud modem. You paid something like 50 bucks for 30-40 hours of time to play the various games on their service. This game is amazingly well done compared to it's true predecessor. It's arcade WW1 flying with multiple objectives and barrows a bit from Warhawk. It's just the kind of TEN DOLLAR game people who want to hop in a plane and shoot their buddies would like. If you want a full fledged WW1 flight sim, well, go load up Red Baron 3D. Stop comparing a $10 hop in and play game to a major $60 full bells and whistles development effort. I played every single Red Baron ever made and I remember the half hour flying around staring at a map unless you compressed time.     Despite what an petulant raving clown at IGN has to say about it, this is a solid game. For 10 bucks you get 36 different missions resulting in 3-4 hours of playtime full of fun arcade action. The plane variety is decent enough for the length. So's the soundtrack. The game's AI that can't be taken too lightly results in numerous nail-baiting moments as you scramble for a healthpack afterDespite what an petulant raving clown at IGN has to say about it, this is a solid game. But, that said, except for maybe a mission or two, the game's difficulty is spot on. You really start to feel like an ace once you get a handle on the easy to pick up controls and start blowing one plane after another out of the sky. The final battle is also absolutely epic. The only major issues with the game is that enemies will often spawn out of thin air very close to you, which leads to some unfair moments, and when there are explosions on screen it starts dumping frames like none other. Wish I had gotten to experience the multiplayer. That would've been a blast. For $10, if you have the bug for a world war-era arcade flyer, it's a good way to spend an afternoon.… Expand

    As it stands, this game might be the worst $10 you can spend on the PSN right now. It's a lifeless, joyless abomination of its namesake and isn't worth the price or time it takes to download.
