    There is nothing other than the word PERFECTION to describe this game. I bought it for my fiancee' and instantly we both spent all night playing it. We just stopped... and can't wait to have 4 people in on the action.

    WOW!!! This is a platforming-gem! I have always loved the Rayman series going back to the PS1, but this is clearly the best game in the Rayman series (sorry Rayman 2). The graphics and sound are a thing of beauty. The controls are pinpoint precise, and allows the player full control over Rayman. The story is alright, but what would you expect from this type of game? There are over 100WOW!!! This is a platforming-gem! I have always loved the Rayman series going back to the PS1, but this is clearly the best game in the Rayman series (sorry Rayman 2). The graphics and sound are a thing of beauty. The controls are pinpoint precise, and allows the player full control over Rayman. The story is alright, but what would you expect from this type of game? There are over 100 levels, including 40 remastered levels from Rayman Origins. The replay value is excellent. Two player co-op is awesome and is recommended to get the most fun out the game. Anything over two players gets dicey. There is an old expression...to many chefs spoil the stew---and that same saying applies to this game. The pure fun factor of this game harkens back to the enjoyment of the old school NES games. The game is challenging, but not frustrating. The music levels are some of the most creative levels I have ever experienced playing video games (and this goes back to the Atari 2600/ Colecovision). I fully recommend this game to anybody who owns a PS3. This is a must have for your collection. You will NOT be disappointed!… Expand

    Ridiculously fun sound design and gameplay is perfect. Loved Rayman Origins as well, but this seriously improves upon the formula. Hopefully this series will achieve the commercial success that it deserves and not just be a niche game.

    This game is refreshing and really good fun. The most impressive aspect is how many different types of gameplay they've managed to squeeze into each of the different worlds. The music really adds another level to the experience, and the bonus rhythm levels are a real hoot. I find myself playing with a cheesy grin plastered on my face a lot of the time, which can't be said of many gamesThis game is refreshing and really good fun.     Rayman, you started of as a simply fun and enjoyable platformer for the PS1, you then made the jump into 3-D with Rayman 2:The Great escape (a game I am still to play all the way through), Rayman 3 was...to me very good, very very good! Creative and beautiful art design and unique method of power-ups (by the way these power-ups are awesome).     Rayman legends combines a clever and gorgeous art style, with the good old Rayman formula we know and love. I'm not going to compare it to 'Origins' simply because I have never played 'Origins' but if it's anything like this game sign me up! This may be my favorite platformers this year, the way you control Rayman is floaty but he stills feel very 'real' If you know what I mean. He does genuinely feel like Rayman again with the long traveling punches and the way he jumps. The soundtrack is perfect, there's no other way to describe it. it's just perfect! It makes you happy or it makes you pumped and ready for more of the game. The story is great, I won't mention it for the sake of spoilers but believe me when I say it's good.

    The only real downsides I have with this game is that the difficulty of this game seems to be two different extremes; very easy or very challenging. The levels as fun as they are full of enemies that die in one weak punch, personally I'd prefer it if the enemies were a little tougher, also the secrets for me at least were fairly easy to find. And then it gets tough by giving you challenges where you have to react quickly, but as long as you have the right control scheme you'll be fine. Overall I'd say pick this game up for a fantastic platformer, a fantastic Rayman game, and for some like, a big blast of nostalgia.    … Expand

    Had the game for awhile, figured I would review it.....First off let me start by saying that this game does have a lot going for it, it ahs a lot of content as well.. This is the only rayman game ever, I wanted to play a platforming game on my ps3 as for there were not many of them. I did however like the ledged levels, they felt like something different....I also really liked the time limit levels, those reminded me of when you had like 60 seconds left in Mario bros to finish the level, felt nice...It's a decent platformer and gets the job done, but I do not think the game is perfect by far. I really liked how difficult some areas can be though, considering a lot of games these days are easy, I like that....I give it an 8... it's good, but not the best..… Expand

    Just a perfect platformer. Controls like a dream. Looks beautiful. Had a hard time putting it down. Just can't get enough of this game. Really don't know why I waited so long to buy it.

    Rayman Legends is simply one of the most beautiful, fun, & engaging games ever made. The controls are responsive and intuitive. I haven't had as much fun with a video game in a long time. Rayman Legend's art style is at times astonishingly animated, and simply beautiful. The musical score is terrific, a perfect accompaniment to the adventure.

    Also, the first, excellent PS3 Rayman title,    Rayman Legends is simply one of the most beautiful, fun, & engaging games ever made. The controls are responsive and intuitive. I haven't had as much fun with a video game in a long time. Rayman Legend's art style is at times astonishingly animated, and simply beautiful. The musical score is terrific, a perfect accompaniment to the adventure.

    Also, the first, excellent PS3 Rayman title, Rayman Origins, is essentially in this game for free! You earn lottery scratch off tickets by beating levels and you "win" most of the original levels from Origins.

    This is one of my favorite games ever, it compares favorably to legendary platformers like New Super Mario World DS and Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World.    … Expand

    Amazing and crazy platformer. The only negative is the UPlay system, which is a mess and feels totally unnecessary. It's the best Rayman to date nonetheless, and certainly one of the top platformers of the year!

Like its predecessor, Rayman Legends focuses mainly in simple yet effective platform gameplay, with an unique art style that mixes both traditional and digital art, 2D and 3D. The music is incredible, Cristopher Hèral and Billy Martin took Rayman Original Score to a new level. The levels are great in numbers and very different from one another, making hard for me to define which was my favorite, since they are all add some ingredient to the mix. The Musical Levels are a clever addition to the series, and they could shine on their own, but there was such need for Ubisoft to add at least five more of these kind of stages. The downside: Playing RAyman Legends with your friends in a couch its a fun affair, but it may get messy and players can spoil one another. Over all, Rayman Legends is one of the best platformers of this generation, a fun game for all ages and something a good old school gamers should surely enjoy.… Expand

    Rayman Legends Improves on everything in Rayman Origins, which i thought was impossible seeing how good that game was. The graphics look lots better, the gameplay is smoother and more fun, the music and sound effects are perfect, there is heaps more content with more levels, challanges and minigames. I could go on and on about how good this game is.

    Rayman legends is an absolutely thrilling game that provides endless hours of fun. I though the graphics would be bad....boy am I wrong. the graphics are absolutely superb. The music is excellent and the co-op gameplay is brilliant. 10/10 for me.

    This is not simply a good game. It's one of these games that we should realize how creative, fun and enjoyable it is and make us feel the joy in our hearts instead of playing these stupid, bloodthirsty M rated games.

    Rayman Legends... Estaba esperando por mucho tiempo para poder reseñarlo. Básicamente es Rayman Origins, pero mejorado. Mejorando los gráficos y añadiendo nuevas mecánicas jugables como los niveles musicales que considero, una de las cosas mas innovadoras en un juego de plataformas hasta la fecha, luego del salto al 3D, hacen de este un juego que destaca! No un juego genérico como puedaRayman Legends... Estaba esperando por mucho tiempo para poder reseñarlo. Básicamente es Rayman Origins, pero mejorado. Mejorando los gráficos y añadiendo nuevas mecánicas jugables como los niveles musicales que considero, una de las cosas mas innovadoras en un juego de plataformas hasta la fecha, luego del salto al 3D, hacen de este un juego que destaca! No un juego genérico como pueda parecer a simple vista. También en contenido aumento muchísimo, tenes un modo online con desafíos diarios que increíblemente siguen activos después de 7 años, un sistema de subir de nivel, mas coleccionables, etc. Sin embargo, no todo es bueno. Desgraciadamente. Sigue cometiendo errores de Rayman Origins, como la historia mala que pone a personajes nuevos como si fueran de antaño (que esto ya se venia trayendo de Rayman 2, pero acá es peor, ya que encima sacaron a los electoons y a Betilla. Y eso que volvió a aparecer después de muchos años en el anterior juego!), o el hecho de que el diseño de niveles no es tan interesante como el de Rayman Origins. Aunque esto no se si contarlo como un fallo, ya que se puede jugar algunos niveles de Rayman Origins (cosa que me parece un detallazo aunque es una pena que no estén los Electoons) y los niveles musicales son excelentes (de hecho, los mejores de todo el juego), pero son muy pocos. Te dan muchas ganas de jugar mas. Y por ultimo, quería comentarles sobre otra de las mecánicas jugables de este juego.... Murphy... Murphy es... terrible... Al menos en esta versión, ya que no es táctil. Tener que activar a Murphy con el botón circulo puede llegar a ser muy difícil en zonas donde vayas muy rápido, ya que te distraes y encima cada 2 segundos el tío insiste en que lo uses. Muy irritante! Arruinaron a Murphy en este juego... El punto mas negativo sin duda alguna. Y al igual que el anterior, muchos niveles son solo ensayo y error, sin habilidad alguna...
    En resumen, Rayman Legends es una mejora substancial de la entrega anterior y lo recomiendo TOTALMENTE, tanto para los fans de los juegos de plataformas como para los que jugaron las entregas anteriores de la franquicia, aunque también es cierto que es peor en algunas cosas, como el diseño de niveles no tan interesante en algunos niveles del Legends (especialmente los que abusan excesivamente del ensayo y error), el uso de Murphy o el haber arruinado la narrativa poniendo personajes super desconocidos y cambiándoles la personalidad a los existentes. Por estas razones, sigo pensando que si bien Rayman Legends y Origins son excelentes, no superan en mi opinión a mi favorito que es Rayman 2 que ese tenia mejor trama, presentaba mejor el mundo de Rayman, tenia la jugabilidad mas pulida y ademas estaba adelantado para su época. Uno de los mejores plataformeros en PS3 sin duda alguna.
    Pd: Me hubiera gustado un montón un juego de Rayman con solamente niveles musicales... Se tendría que aprovechar... de verdad.    … Expand

    Like falling in love all over again. This game is pure magic. I've been a fan of Rayman for a while now so I picked this up hoping to find another good platform experience in Rayman Legends. Not only was I blown away by the sheer awesome unique game design and mechanics but also by the awesome story.     Rayman Origins was a perfect reboot of the Rayman series, and Rayman Legends is the ultimate game. So much content is packed into this game, and as it features superb gameplay, sound and presentation, you can't go wrong here.
    Perfect game that is a must-have for every gamer. 10!

I should say Rayman Legend is masterpiece of platformer Firstly I did not enjoy how some elements of the game are changed in terms of gameplay mechanics. such as the Lums the shiny big ones that were in Origins) or the flying with fly levels and stuff are removed and the whole gameplay is replaced by some better stuff.

    the game does offers some levels where we are given chance to take control of the frog and the rayman through the level, these sorts of levels really gives an interesting amount of variety to the overall gameplay but they can not go too fast as controlling both characters in a same time would be confusing and hard. The variety of the levels are much more, the art direction is simply fantastic, the gameplay never becomes boring and simply it is one of the best platform games I have ever seen. I totally recommend this to anyone, with its price tag it does offer more than you expect:)    … Expand

The best thing I can say about the game is that it's very compressed in fun-factor... there's always something intense going on, and it has hours upon hours of platforming ready to throw at you. I haven't played such a diverse and colorful platformer for years. The intensity also means, however, that there is little background story, almost no cutscenes, none of the classic 'glue of story telling'. It's just a bunch of levels sequenced in a way so that it sort of makes sense. I felt like the story was just an excuse for the lack of logic... "It's dreams! It doesn't have to make sense!"... and I guess that the emphasis on pure fun gameplay is a good excuse. Why not a higher score? Because of the lack of story and emotional appeal. Also because I could recognize all the 'new' ideas from other games. Oh, and the difficulty in some levels is the wrong kind of challenging... trial-and-error rather than a test of intelligence. I like the game A LOT and recommend it. But I need to score it more moderately than all the pro critics. This is not the best game of the generation. And I heavily suspect that Super Mario Galaxy 2 is miles more creative than this game, although I never played that one.… Expand

    Why this version of PS3 or X360 has the same score of the WiiU version? The WiiU version is obviously better. The 360 and PS3 versions have not the touch-screen features in some of the levels.

    The conversion from the Wii U to the Playstation 3 went rather badly. First of all it looks about 10x worse, the controls are bad and it loses a lot of its charm. The whole idea of Murphy is turned on its head, when instead of using the Wii U gamepad you press a button. Next time Ubisoft should stick to the console it was designed to be exclusive on.

    Awesome as always, but it misses the great sound track witch the Legens had so its 9/10 game but i love it and you should concider to buy it, because you will not find anything else entertainning like this!

    I did not find this game fun at all. It was really dull and the opposite of what vibrancy and playfulness many reviewers and players have attributed to the game. Sure the level design appears to be engaging and variable with some variety, but the game-play and characters did not appeal to me. I found killing the enemies and progressing through the levels very pointless and unrewarding, asI did not find this game fun at all. I really wanted to like this game, but maybe it is just not for my age group ( I am almost 17). Though what it all comes down to is the specific elements and aspects that can sustain my interest and my enjoying of any game, but in this game there was little to no substance to be discerned or satisfaction to be derived. Ther's plenty of depth, variety and surprises and the online challenges will keep you coming back long after you've completed the main game. It's the best 2D platformer for years. In fact, if this game was around in the genres 16-Bit golden era itPlatforming perfection! It's apparently the biggest Rayman game ever but great gameplay and genius level design mean you'll never get bored.     Simply a platforming masterpiece. Beautifully and masterfully designed levels that will make your jaw drop, the creativity and love put into this game is off the roofs. The only negative which were a non-existent story quickly gets replaced once you realize this game is extremely challenging, especially in terms of hand-eye coordination. One minute I'm running inside an apple, the next I''m swimming underwater dodging missiles, so amazing. The content in this game is also off the roofs amazing, not only can you unlock levels to the prior game (rayman origins), but there are weekly challlenges which are very fun, and invasion paintings, which are mostly speed levels (which are also awesome of course). This is probably the best platforming game I've played in my life, giving two thumbs way up to the developers who masterfully crafted this amazing game, Thank You!!!… Expand

Rayman Legends is a tribute to its preceedors as this is the "BEST" platformer game in PS3. its funny, soothing, soft texture animation, well detailed and the difficulty levels has been increased which is an extra icing. another knockout punch from ubisoft. rayman is awesome to play with familythe last time i played rayman games was in my java mobile 204x320 and still it had loads of fun.     Bought this game for my wife and never played a Rayman game before because always thought the character was kind of lame. Well damn. Just an excellent game in every way. So much variety, fast paced, chalenging and extremely fun. This game will punish your ass too but not too much (almost sometimes). Many hours of drinkin beer and screaming at the screen. Good times! This game is designed in a more open ended way, so you can do levels in practically any order.     The gameplay is smooth and can become quite challenging, the graphics are beautiful, and the music is exceptional and well suited. Multiplayer rules and it has great replay value.

There is more focus on online multiplayer with many challenges and online scoreboards which will let you try again and again to beat the scores of your friends. The new worlds are breathtaking and well balanced. More puzzles than Origins, which is pretty nice and defiant. You even earn levelsVery refreshing gameplay. Slight flaw is the dificulty of the game, in my opinion it is less difficult than Rayman Origins. I have to say I haven't finished the game yet so the last world could be - similair to Origins - more challenging Final conclusion: Money well spend!… Expand

    Classic Rayman platforming with plenty of fun twists and turns. Everything about this game is top notch save for the online features. If you are going to platinum the 3+ months of daily challenges that ever work quite right can be frustrating. It detracts from what is otherwise, a wonderful game.

    You should buy, play and enjoy this game.

    I love platforming games, I think that it is my favourite games gender, but this was just... OMG, really good. I recommend it for the people that like games like Mario, or for the PS, Little Big Planet.

    Amazing graphics, fun, addictive and one of the best platforms games ever. The music stages are the perfect end to each stage, I'm replaying it to achieve everything!!

    This is the best platform game I've ever played. The combination of the beautiful painting art style, the fast paced gameplay, the challenge, the unlockables, the incredible music, and the spot on controls make this game a delight. That and the game is packed with loads of imagination and charm. I love it.

    Improving upon the already fantastic Origins is no easy task, but Legends manages to do it! Side-scrolling platforming simply doesn't get better than this. The level themes are more interesting than ever before, the musical levels are absolutely mad and hilarious, and the game simply oozes charm and rich imagination. A must-buy.

    Beautifully designed, controls brilliantly with lots of colours. Up there with Mario and Sonic, in my opinion.
    Every day there is a new challenge to keep you playing and lots of characters, but Rayman is my personal favourite.

    Even better than Rayman Origins, which must be one of the best platform games on the PS3. The graphics and music are still incredibly good, and the gameplay is sometimes challenging but extremely fun!

    A great game worth your time. Despite its immature designs, Rayman legends, like all of its predecessors is not an easy game, as it has a perfect difficulty level. This game has (to this day) daily randomly generated challenges and great controls. The greatest part is its multiplayer fluency and the other characters rarley get in the way of others

    There is nothing other than the word PERFECTION to describe this game. I bought it for my fiancee' and instantly we both spent all night playing it. We just stopped... and can't wait to have 4 people in on the action.

    When I started playing this game I thought wow, what a great game once I reached the first rhythm level I knew Rayman legends is one of the best games I played. More games should try experimenting with rythem-based levels or even small sections. Imagine what this would look like in a 3D game.     Frenético. Me sorprendió positivamente, y me gustó sobre todo una misión con un guitarreo de fondo maravilloso y los saltos que debías realizar al son de la música. Muy recomendado.

Again, a nod to the 2d era of Rayman, but, yet again, a more lovable and beautifully tolerable return to roots than the 1996 version. If Rayman Origins was amazing, then Legends is simply outstanding;Sequel to the award winning Rayman Origins, this is even more zany and wacky, with more lush graphics a slightly different (but still enjoyable) sound track and amazing game play elements.     Make no mistake, the difficulty has been ramped up considerably. Something we, as grown up gamers, can truly appreciate. Even the first worlds aren't all that easy, since the levels vary greatly in difficulty. Don't expect a new Demon's Souls, but be prepared to make that same jump a dozen times. [September p.80]
