    Solid enough conversion of the old school arcade blaster, but the Overkill mode is marred by an overly cluttered screen and the game doesn't quite have the variety and invention that makes one stand out as truly special. A good scrolling shoot 'em up, but not a great one.

    While the Raiden series in general isn't my favorite collective of shmups, it's been a steady staple for over two decades for a reason.
