    Jak II was already a great game, questionable difficulty spikes and lack of checkpoints aside. And fortunately for the Playstation 3 you pretty much get the same experience only now in a prettier 720p resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. Obviously this is pretty standar by HD remasters, but this also means that is pretty much the best version of Jak 2 that you can get on a physical format. AJak II was already a great game, questionable difficulty spikes and lack of checkpoints aside. Obviously this is pretty standar by HD remasters, but this also means that is pretty much the best version of Jak 2 that you can get on a physical format. A part of me whishes that they would have incorporated o more present checkpoint system, but that is pretty much my only complaint. As such i´m giving it the same score as i would with the original on the ps2… Expand

    I'v loved the Jak and Daxter Trilogy ever since I was a kid all 3 games are good you guys should get it
    trust me it will be worth it.The story, the gameplay,the people although sometimes it gets kinda repetitive after a while but it does not matter just get it it's good

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. How did this get an 8.2? Its a 2.5 at best. Anyway i love challenges: Dark souls, Demon souls. Pretty much any game that offers a challenge and does it right will get me into it. But this, this is the worst challenge i've ever done. First of all the vehicle controls are horrible it feels like im on a plastic sheet coated with lube and the fact that it has missions that require you to get shot at while trying control a vehicle is insane. Another problem is my HP. Small 1 hit kill enemies take off 1 bar of my Permanent 6 Bars of HP However bigger 2 hit enemies take off 2 bars. This is ridiculous if you've played this game you'd know the rarity of health packs which only give you 2 bars back and there is hell tons of enemies in this game if you want to get through you have to play it perfectly or else be completely screwed. Now my final big problem with this game is the checkpoints if i remember correctly for the 3rd or 2nd mission you have to navigate some sort of obstacle course filled with enemies with like 2 health packs in the middle and end this level is quite long and proves to be annoying because the only check point you have is somewhere around the end. So consider this as pretty much the whole game.… Expand

    I had Jak 1 and Jak 3 for PS2. To be honest, I never liked those games at all (Jak 1 was way too complex and gave head-aches because of how boring it was, and Jak 3 used cars way too much). Now, I have the HD Collection, and what do I get? A game that could have been very descent if it wasn't so hard and had checkpoints in all levels. I have this game since it came out, and since the finalI had Jak 1 and Jak 3 for PS2. I have this game since it came out, and since the final boss was way too hard, I decided to put a save-game on my PS3, and oh man, it was the worst mistake I did; it said I that I was not allowed to use another person's save-game! All those hours and back-breaking moments... for nothing!

    At best the gameplay is boring. At worst it is frustrating. The humor isn't clever. The story is obvious. Stylistically the game makes you want to get invested but judging by today's standards it is not worth playing.
