Good game but very disappointing story mode compare to the other Budokais!! number 2 and 3 were the best in Z chronicles and a long story mode with loads of characters. Burst limit is limited in characters and stories so leaves you with completing the game in less than 2 days... However the online battle are fantastic for the exception to players quiting matches right before they die !!! Great game, like a refined version of the PS2 Budokai games. The decision to remove manual powering up is a good one, the battles are much faster and more fluid, with the cutscenes being seamless and well made.

If you're thinking, bet this game is another great graphics, think again, it's just another budokai game, if your good at budokai games, this game is that, but with more.... how do i put it?..... pazzazz. it's got cut scenes where your enemy can't do anything while you give them a beat down. and in some levels, when you're being beat to a corner and you can't do anything, about to die,If you're thinking, bet this game is another great graphics, think again, it's just another budokai game, if your good at budokai games, this game is that, but with more.... how do i put it?..... pazzazz. it's got cut scenes where your enemy can't do anything while you give them a beat down. and in some levels, when you're being beat to a corner and you can't do anything, about to die, press R3. sometimes a friend will suprise attack your enemy..... i HIGHLY recommend you get this game

Good looking continuation on a budokai style of gameplay, good graphics, good combo/battle system.
Pretty mutch everything fans love, BUT a very short story mode and serious luck of content and characters.
If not huge love for chalanging battle it would be 5.9. but as it was fun it deserves what it gets.

Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit isn't an awesome game but offers a few hours of pure fun and this is a big positive point of this game, but unfortunately it has several major flaws and for that reason I think is a good game but not great!!!!!

In my opinion this game sucks. It's basically a Budokai 2 rip-off and really needs to brush up on it's skills. The music is half-bad and the controls sucks. It's basically a Mario crossover with that 2D scrolling section with 3D turning and a 1D point of view. Sucks.

The game is really short and stops with the Broly saga. Its also a bummer that i mis a lot of characters. Its really a nice game but I expected so much more from this title on the ps3 or xbox360.

Its a huge step backwards from Budokai Tenkaichi 3, if you still have your PS2, you might want go play Budokai instead, its much better.

A good game of Dragon Ball Z, the same style of the other but the others have MORE, MORE and MORE characters!! This game does not have the Buu Saga, the online is not very good and the game doesn`t have trophies

The story was very short compared to other DBZ game i played, but the offline multiplayer was enjoyable. There were better DBZ in my opinion so i must give it a 6. The lack of characters was a weak point also.

Dragonball Z Burst Limit is actually a really good game despite a few shortcomings. The graphics even look better than some newer Dragonball Z games such as Ultimate Tenkaichi, and the upcoming Dragonball Z Xenoverse. It has beam struggles unlike which is a huge plus to fun factor unlike other DBZ games that don't have it. The game is fun to play vs. the CPU with several challenge modes available. It is more fun vs. another player locally or online, that is, IF you manage to find someone to play against online. The character roster is too short and the game only went up to the Cell Saga. Drama pieces interfere with the action, but they can be set to off in online mode. There is no Ki charging system, and some players complain it promoted spamming of special attacks. However, I did not find that people spam special attacks anymore than they do in other DBZ games, and I have ways of dealing with spammers. Although it wasn't a major problem, I do prefer the ki charging system for balance. My wish is that they create a sequel to this game with more characters, stages, and goes through the GT Saga. Looking back i can certainly see why more than a few people hate Burt Limit. The story mode feels very underwhelming and the content is definetly lacking, even compared with the very first Budokai title on the PS2. Dragonball lazy disappointment is a better name for this game. Did they fire all developers who worked on Budokai Tenkaichi?

After putting all series in the Tenkaichi games, they decided to go back to Budokai 1 in terms of content, but also **** up the camera in combat. If you survive the epileptic attack you'll get from watching cut scenes during a fight (yes, there's actual cut scenes in the middle of the fight) you'll be watching animations of moves that, other than looking like a spectacle, just mean you are not actually fighting!

The freedom players had in Tenkaichi is completely gone, as it is a side scroller now with heavy limitations on movement. Why? Who thought this was a good idea?

It feels like 6 steps back, and a way to get money from gullable fans. i cannot recommend this game at all, just buy any of the Tenkaichi games instead. The game functions without bugs, but that means it is boring by design.

It is a bad game, i give it a 4/10.

This game was the first DBZ game i ever played on console, so i think that this is probably one of the best DBZ games of all time. The story is truly amazing , sadly it ends at the end of the Cell saga and there wasn't a Buu saga. The game has a lot of content in it, and it was really fun to complete the entire game.

The best Budokai DBZ game. Yeah, it isn't named Budokai, but gameplay is pretty similar to budokai Trilogy. The only minus - characters fly speed, they are veeeeeeeeeeeeeeery slow.

It's nice to play a game that manages to be fun for the hardcore and casual alike. [Summer 2008, p.48]

Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit managed to really impress me. It's not perfect but it's a fast, over-the-top fighter that's an absolute blast. The single-player Z Chronicles mode is perfect for hardcore fans and the multiplayer options are good enough that you'll want to call your friends over for a few matches.

Get rid of the drama, though, and Burst Limit becomes a delight. [July 2008, p.78]
