Recycled areas and enemies is something that has become expected of BioWare lately, and it all apparently started with this DLC. that being said, it did give closure on the Warden and one of the more popular characters and bring more intrigue into the future of the DA universe....however disappointing it actually wound up being.

This dlc addon took me about 2 hours to complete and was extremely disappointing due to the supposed conclusion of the Morrigan story. The actually interaction with Morrigan in this addon lasts about a couple minutes at most and isn't very emotional fulfilling. I'd have to say that this addon wasn't worth the 7 dollars. One can hope that Bioware will put something more significant about Morrigan in Dragon Age 2. Expand

For shame, Bioware! A 2+ hour jog through old maps and old enemies. No new story to speak of, and no resolution for the story thus far. An utterly limp sendoff for the character you generated in Origins - where the 'Origins' element apparently signified nothing, as you'll be forced to start a new character for Dragon Age 2. A very short basic cake walk through recycled areas and enemies. I own all the DLC and this one has to be the least value and biggest disappoint to me by far. It contains one mildly interesting, but still very easy boss fight with a new enemy. The story is extremely weak, introduces more questions than it answers and the encounter with Morrigan feels short and cheap. This was a hugely disappointing Add-on. I finished it in less than an hour, and having received nothing but more questions instead of "the exciting finish to the saga" all one can say is boo. Monty Boo-urns.

Wish I had more hands so I could give this 4 thumbs down!!

This is an insult from bioware since mass effect is getting excellent downloads like lair of the shadow broker.

No conclusion, old areas, nothing new and one of the worst conclusion to an excellent game.

This was a rather disappointing DLC on multiple levels. Lack of compelling story and enemies. For what was billed as a conclusion for the PC in regards to Morrigan it felt superficial and rushed. I also felt cheated at the end as my PC did not get closure at all. The most disappointing part of this DLC is how it recycles so many areas and enemies, and in spite of that, resources weren't used to try to make the narrative any more interesting. Though this DLC still proves to a pivotal part of Origins' narrative, and could be touted as the game's true ending, and it involves one of the best characters in the game.

  1. Despite some small bugs and two somewhat open endings, Witch Hunt proves to be a fine DLC that should't disappoint any fan of the series. If you're a fan of the game and look forward to a decent conclusion to the fantasy saga told until now, look no further.
  2. A mediocre ugprade to a real great RPG. Shame.
  3. Morrigan's return is a disappointment in this vapid downloadable add-on.
