My favorite FPS of all time! A bloody and fun shooter. I love every aspect of this game. If you like FPS, you should check this on out! Killing enemies in different ways just never gets old for me. My only complaint is that this game ends too soon and that EA pulled the pluck on a sequel!
PS: If you are from Germany, DON´T get the German version, censorship killed all the fun...

A decent storyline with good gameplay features and points system, the game doesn't take itself too seriously, which works very well. The single player is better than most FPS, only issue is that there is not much incentive to replay, so there are only a few hours of gameplay. Worth buying at a cheap price/ for free off PS+.

This is a pretty nice game. Colorful and entertaining. The fact that the alternate controller configuration is the same as Call of Duty's is just a plus that makes you feel inmediately familiarized with the game. The foul language is directed to a more mature audience, but that's ok. It is not something to make a fuzz about.

As for the graphics .... they are okay however they are not the best I have seen, in some areas there are blurred textures, and it also feels like an old unreal engine game, this is offset by having a consistent frame rate, and you'll likely not notice these issues unless you are looking.

The humor is fun for a while but you'll become bored of them very quickly. I do like the ammount of swearing in the game though as it adds depth to the characters.

While on the topic of the characters they are pretty well acted and their stories do make sense but the main character is only great for the first half of the game, in the last half he changes, but this isn't a bad thing, as the story makes up for it.

I highly recommend getting this game.

I haven't tried the online yet but the campaign has taken me roughly 6 hours so far and i'm about to start the final act of the game. I would highly recommend to all FPS fans and the graphics are truley stunning. The attnetion to detail is phenomenal. There are a few flaws such as it sometimes jams for a second or 2, but this is minor. Checkpoints are very frequent so if you die you don't have to replay 10 minutes worth of killing again! Adding titles for each of the Skillshots make the whole thing reels like a drunk barfight straight out of the pages of Judge Dredd.
The 2 big criticisms that have been levelled at this game, and sparked my initial reservations to purchase, were the length of the campaign and the foul language. Neither is particularly fair criticism. Yes, the script is filthy, but has it's moments, and fits quite well with the rest of the over-the-top social incorrectness. This game is a gleeful, naughty adult distraction, and a serious script and tone would seem just killjoy. As for the length of the game, this too does not take into account the design effort put into each of the 7 Chapters, and the overall attention to detail.
The environments are rich and varied, and I think the developers aimed for a short but tight experience over a sprawling and ugly one. (I'm looking at you, Mass Effect 2). Coupled with the fact that the real satisfaction in the game-play comes from getting the most Skillpoints out of a group of enemies, the length of the game matters less than the quality of the experience.

The biggest problem Bulletstorm has is that it's at odds with itself. It wants you to have a blast killing imaginatively, but gives you limited ammunition, uses cheap tactics and saves the best toys until way too late in the game. It wants you to revel in the wonderfully hackneyed story, but then suddenly gets all touchy feely, serious and humourless for no reason. [May 2011 p.75]
