joetOct 20, 2008The gaming is well ahead of any other sports games, with big hits and clashes. Injuries and slo-mo make the game more interesting and puts more control into the users hands.

Oct 19, 2011I love the gameplay but the fake urban style and emphasis on being "edgy" was laughable. I have to give this a 7 simply because it isn't a sequel. It is the same thing as Blitz: The League with the same single player story and everything. Nothing has changed but a slight HD upgrade. Felt ripped off after finishing the first one years ago.

Oct 6, 2015The story line was much better than the original game as was most of the features. After a while it got a little boring beating the hell out of your opponents in a no holds bar football game.

Jan 27, 2023Any football game post NFL EA era, had to be creative. You have to let video games, be "video games", sometimes. This was both: creative AND a video game! Expounding on the old Blitz formula, & taking it few steps beyond, was refreshing & very fun. To see the injuries from the inside of a bone crushing hit. was a rush.I have both Blitz games, & thoroughly enjoy them.

Feb 1, 2023This game did what most sports games fail to do: It made sports actually fun. There's no rules here, just **** violence. The injuries are brutal (especially the testicle one, ouch). I love this game. Played it a **** ton as a kid. I actually enjoyed playing a sports game, and I hate sports.

Blitz: The League II disappoints on almost every level, leaving gamers praying to be tackled by Lawrence Taylor himself rather than being forced to play the game.
-
Midway has done a nice job of correcting most of the mistakes from last year's game, but the sore visuals and lack of overall polish keep this game from achieving greatness.

If you are looking for an alternative to Madden, Blitz II: The League has enough punch to make it worth the purchase. It’s not going to replace the ultra high gloss of its competitors, but it is an original take on the dark side of sporting.
