    This is one of the best games i have ever played the story os something else for sure you know it's Yakuza developer so i am not amazed

    Thanks for the quarintine i had the time to finish this game, and holy **** man the game is alot better then i thought, between 2013 to 2020 i just played the first hour and leave the game, and i regret so much for not finishing the game before.

    shooting the robots is very satified and there is alot of boss fights, and thats what i love from a game.
    this is slow based game of vanquish, while vanquish is very kick ass but binary domain make a better game in many things.
    there is to much boss fights and many of them is very diffrents then others.
    story is much better while very unique environment in each level.
    AI companion is good and you give them orders to help you.

    The game aged very good, except if you are a very fast based game, this could be little annoying at the biggining, but you need to move forward and get used to it, ant its worth it.    … Expand

Зачем тебе все это, да очень просто в мясных перестрелках только союзники с хорошим отношением будут тебя прикрывать и выполнят приказы. Самое интересное что приказы можно отдаватьОтличный шутер от третьего лица с интонационно механикой отношений между тобой и твоей командой, в этой игре буквально все твои действия влияют на их отношение к тебе, буть то удачная шутка или меткий выстрел. Зачем тебе все это, да очень просто в мясных перестрелках только союзники с хорошим отношением будут тебя прикрывать и выполнят приказы. Самое интересное что приказы можно отдавать как при помощи нажатия кнопок так и голосом, игра воспринимает около 60 команд, которые к тому же можно настроить в меню! Перестрелки также вычленены на уровне что удивительно учитывая мыло опыт разработчиков в этом жанре. Сюжет тоже великолепен, если вам интересна тема человекоподобных андроидов. Очень рекомендую не проходить мимо этой игры!… Expand

    Buen juego de acción en tercera persona, una historia interesante y una interacción con los npc's más que aceptable. Ya habian muchos juegos de humanos contra Zombies o extraterrestres. Un muy buen juego de ciencia ficción.

    A good story with interesting characters, a solid shooting mechanic and some quality boss fights Binary Domain is a very good game with one major flaw for a game designed with it in mind the voice controls are shocking.

    Binary Domain is truly the definition of a hidden gem. A fantastic game that never got the popularity or mainstream success it deserved. It's only real flaw is the lack of an ability to stand out in a genre saturated to the brim with shooters, but that doesn't stop it from being a very satisfying experience.

    First off, the shooting and cover mechanics are phenomenal, very reminiscent of    Binary Domain is truly the definition of a hidden gem. A fantastic game that never got the popularity or mainstream success it deserved. It's only real flaw is the lack of an ability to stand out in a genre saturated to the brim with shooters, but that doesn't stop it from being a very satisfying experience.

    First off, the shooting and cover mechanics are phenomenal, very reminiscent of games like Mass Effect 2. The shooting feels good, and the cover system and dodging works fantastic, making you feel like a badass as you pull off some crazy maneuvers. The main hook BD has is that all enemies you fight are robots with armor that can be chipped away to weaken them. Destroying armor is not only essential, allowing you to create weaknesses or exploits, but it also rewards you with credits to upgrade your weapons. Shockingly, upgrading your weapons is actually tangible and you can feel the difference and how much more powerful your gun becomes as you progress.

    Every form of gameplay can get somewhat boring though, so BD takes the initiative and always throws something different or new into the action to keep the game fresh. It ultimately stops the game from getting boring and repetitive, even if some of these small sections were a little annoying. What also impressed me were the very well done boss fights. Using the same hook as the standard enemies, the bosses have armor that can be chipped away to reveal weak spots, allowing you to fully destroy limbs and other integral parts to the machine. This either kills them or opens up another weak spot of theirs for you to pump all your ammo into. Each boss - big and small - has different tactics and styles of fighting, making each encounter different and fun.

    The only things wrong with the gameplay are the other two gimmicks it tries to implement. BD tries to add in using a microphone to give specific commands and responses to your comrades, but it barely functions. Just turn it off immediately. Also, the trust system - which centers around your comrades liking you - is another nice gimmick, in which you choose the correct responses to an ally's questions, save them in battle, or perform admirably in combat. Choose negative responses or accidentally shoot them and their trust will go down. It's a good attempt, but it only succeeds in annoying you. Shooting a comrade who gets directly in front of your gun on purpose while firing is always annoying, or at least it was until you realize what little consequence the trust system actually has. Even when at full trust, your allies performance doesn't feel any different. It might be because of the badly programmed AI, which is present in both the allies and enemies alike. However, this problem is remedied by giving you allies' huge damage thresholds, and it also makes enemies easier to deal with.

    Overall, the sound quality and voice acting are well done, but the most surprising part of the presentation is the graphics. Three years after its initial release and this game still looks great, with great character models, detailed textures and backgrounds, the graphics of this game still hold up.

    However, the biggest surprise about Binary Domain is the well done story mode. Centering on "Hollow Children" or androids, these robots look and act just like humans. They even think they're human by having false memories implanted in their heads, and it leads to some great twists in the story. They're able to eat, feel emotions, and even reproduce with regular humans, creating hybrids, which are humans with no mechanics, but are stronger, faster, and have better immune systems compared to the average human. The hybrids and hollow children give this game some great lore, but the story itself is good as well. Taking place as Dan "The Survivor," you head up a group of soldiers sent to hunt down these hollow children and their creator. The story is simple, straight forward, and a little cliche, but it's surprisingly engaging for a story in a military shooter. The rights of the hollow children and the hybrids touches on some very real current moral issues. The prejudice, ignorance and hypocrisy towards these robots and their offspring is infuriating, but it accurately represents a lot of human history. The events surrounding these morale issue stands out, and it honestly made me look at the protagonist and his allies in a negative light on occasion. Their hatred and willingness to put these people down disturbed me. As for Dan, his story is entertaining, with fleshed out characters and moments that truly hold impact or make you laugh. Binary Domain's story is truly the most memorable thing in this game.

    Lastly, the multiplayer community for this game is largely gone, and it's not even considered very good multiplayer either way, so it's best to avoid it altogether and play this game for its story.

    Overall, Binary Domain is a great game, with solid gameplay and an awesome story. It's a true hidden gem that deserves your attention.    … Expand

I appreciate the attempts at depth, but this game has the subtlety of a Michael Bay movie    This game is like an interactive 1980's action movie, all the way down to the paper-thin characters and the constant explosions.

    Uhuhu, i loved this one! I seriously loved every aspect of this game! Good graphics, good characters, good level design, good story and battling huge robots never gets old for me! For me one of the best games for the PS3!

    I mean, the setup is pure brilliance: You play a member of some force with a terminator-like setup, and you can use your mic to give tips to your fellow followers, but be careful because if you play your dice wrong, your teammates will no longer follow in your orders. Just thinking about that, the first thing that comes to mind is how FRICKEN AWESOME it would be to play. But... remember siri on the iPhone?
    Remember how she would get things wrong even when you said them with perfection? ...that's kinda like the commands system in this game. Don't get me wrong, it's functional, but even while testing I got allot wrong. At least it works for actual gameplay, but even then it's kind of hard to try to give you fellow teammates commands. I still haven't tried multiplayer, and I will soon. The gunplay also works in a way that's fine, and when your not raging over how the damn microphone can't pick up a single f*cking thing you're saying, the teammates aren't too forgettable, then again, I've seen more memorable characters in the likes of the walking dead and the last of us.
    The story, however, is mediocre at best. The terminator-like setup gets you excited to hear what the story is, then you watch a few cut scenes that can be described in 1-2 sentences... wow.
    It is a fun game to play, don't get me wrong, but it's also really flawed in the areas that had me mostly hyped for it.

    Underrated sleeper, Binary Domain is iRobot cross with any third person cover based shooter. It's really well executed and everything works. There is a relationship system which denotes who'll survive which leads to multiple endings and replay value. It has some insane boss battles and the game is by no mean a breeze.     Well lets say first that i didn't even know this game existed before Playstation decided to put it on free for Plus membership. At first i wasn't sure if i wanted to give it a shot with the low reviews and all... But if you are in the same situation in which i was: do it.
    Lets start with the bad:
    This game is not flawless, the characters are a bit too much and stereotypical, but not bad.     Lets start with the bad:
    This game is not flawless, the characters are a bit too much and stereotypical, but not bad. They are just not has interesting has characters in other series, lets say Mass Effect for example. I would say that they are between pretty good and cliched. Something else that was very frustrating for me was the music. There is almost no music in this game, the overall sound is good, but when you hear some kind of music you might like it, or not all at like me. I listen to a lot of music, but here it is like a medley of some techno rock, very Japanese kind of music, which is ok for some people, and they keep the volume very low at the same time. Which is like listening to Dragonforce at a very low volume while trying to beat a boss that send you waves of stunning rockets up your ass and THAT is an annoying experience. This bring me to the real annoying part of this game. This game can get very F***ing irritating when it wants. Some bosses are awesome to fight and to look at. They are very japoneses in the aesthetic and this time in a very good way. But some of them have some really randoms events which will kill you and make you restart the 15 minutes fights for no reason. I love hard game. I LOVE Dark Souls kind of very hard bosses that make you try on over and over and still you can overcome him. In this game when you die to a boss it wont be fun at all. Only 2 or 3 bosses are that bad. I think of a boss that keep sending freaking rockets at you and stun locks you over and over and even if i didn't die to that boss, it wasn't a good experience: i don't like to lose the control of my character for half the fight (and a 15 min one).
    Now the good:
    Firstly, the combat system, which is amazing. For a third person shooter with cover, i think its pretty much better than the one in Gears of War, even though i like this last one a lot. What make it so good is the way you fight the robots and dismember them, it make the fights very dynamics and entertaining still the last minutes, and this is pure joy. Like i said, i was not a big fan of the character development in this game even if it is not that bad, but the real charm in here come from the background of the universe which is nicely done in many ways. At first, it feels like a boring copy of Deus Ex. After 1 hour or 2 you realize that it is much much more. They did put a lot of love in the making of this world and it shows, and just for that this game worth the 10 hours of your time. There is also a very good variety of enemies and weapon. Too bad you can't change your primary weapon.
    Oh and i forgot. Do NOT buy/download this game for the multiplayer. I did try it a bit and it was mostly a frustrating experience because of d/c and a strange ganking experience which include me spawning and getting exploded by a rocket around 0.5 second after (like i said, I don't like having rockets in my face and not being able to avoid them).
    With all that said, i did like this game a lot. If you can forget the couples of irritating experiences, the bad music (for me) and the 10 hours campaign long without multiplayer, you should really try it.

I played it for free on PS+ and gave it about an hour of my time. The story and voice acting is corny. Here are some key points on why I will never play anything by this studio ever again.

    Great game, the story is amazing. I was skeptical at first but after watching the amazing trailer, I started playing it. The story is amazing, the character have great chemistry. They can be very humorious and serious which goes to show the voice acting is spot on. The feel of the weapons are great, especially when you shoot robot limb from limb.     A surprising gem that I probably would not have picked up on if not for PS Plus. A great story, awesome characters, and satisfying action make this a 3rd person shooter that I recommend you don't pass by. The core gameplay is what you would expect from a cover based 3rd person shooter, but the game manages to feel fresh thanks to it's satisfying combat encounters, despite it's veryA surprising gem that I probably would not have picked up on if not for PS Plus. A great story, awesome characters, and satisfying action make this a 3rd person shooter that I recommend you don't pass by. The core gameplay is what you would expect from a cover based 3rd person shooter, but the game manages to feel fresh thanks to it's satisfying combat encounters, despite it's very familiar style of gameplay. Shredding enemy robots to pieces with your guns is satisfying and an awesome sight to behold, that is made better once you start upgrading your weapons. I did find the earlier boss battles to be more tedious and irritating than fun, but they get better as the game progresses. As far as multiplayer goes it's fun, but it's clear that it is standing on it's last legs and won't be around much longer. Still, the single-player experience more than makes up for what may end up being a lack of multiplayer.

    So combat is incredibly fun and action packed, but there's much more to the package than just that. Squad interactions are another great feature this title offers. Using either voice commands or manual inputs, you'll be able to interact with your squad at certain points to influence their opinion of you. Act like a jerk or shoot them in combat and they'll dislike you and won't follow your orders. Treat them well and do impressive in combat and they'll have your back and open up to you. This sort of relationship management is one of my favorite aspects of the game and this along with the multiple endings kind of gives the game a slight RPG feel. In case you're wondering if you're not a fan of voice commands, or just don't have a mic, then I can say that the manual input works fine and is a great alternative.

    "Binary Domain" is a great game and one that may be criminally overlooked. If you're looking for an action packed game that has you fighting robots rather than the generic terrorists and zombies that just about every other game seems to have, then this game is worth your time. It's multiplayer may be dying, and some of the boss battles may be tedious, but this is still an excellent game with a single player campaign that's worth a look. In a time when every game is either a sequel or a clone of a popular franchise, this game feels unique and fresh. I personally recommend that you don't let this game pass you by.    … Expand

    This is a Beautiful Visual Game to play and the controls scheme does not hold back the enjoyment of playing the game as a Third Person Shooter... As, the gameplay does resemble "Gears of Wars" series and if you had not played "GOW" being a PS3 owner, then this will be your chance to get a taste of their combat gameplay!!!

    The story is futuristic with a mixture of movies such as: 'I Robot" (2004) although not following the Three Laws of Robotics directives because these robots are trying to KILL YOU!!!, "Vexille" (2007) for displaying a Neo Japan that is isolated from the world & other factors to not give away key plotlines, with a taste of "Ronin" (1998) because there are a lot of action sequences that you will have to navigate throughout the game...

    Another Great Video Game to OWN and Play after you BEAT Binary Domain would be "Alpha Protocol" (2010) that is also on the PS3, although the major criticism against it are for it's numerous game glitches!!! But, this should not in any other way tarnish otherwise a Brilliant Game with open game and "Hardy Boys" multi-endings!!!

    Binary Domain is a Sophisticate game that story line may not be for the feeble minded causal gamer and YES I SAID IT!!!

The game mechanics feel clunky and stiff, but you will get used to it as the game goes on, gameplay is very fun and addictive; however I used dan's rifle like 80% of the whole game. RPG elements of the game were ok. I mean there are zombie robots to shoot at; how can you get mad at a game for that? The ending had twist and turns that felt satisfying, but the MP was below average, not bad; below average, but hey if it means lasting appeal then so be it. In conclusion, good mindless robot shoot em up game that i enjoyed; but something felt missing, whether it be the lackluster weapons, or just a game that is good but not great.… Expand

I'm honestly not a huge Third Person Shooter fan, but I thoroughly enjoyed Binary Domain. With many TPS the controls feel clunky, but Binary Domain's controls feel quick, fluid, and natural. The gameplay is rock solid. The sound of metal onBinary Domain certainly has its faults (the dreadful cover art is definitely one of them), but it feels more original than many games I've played. I'm honestly not a huge Third Person Shooter fan, but I thoroughly enjoyed Binary Domain. With many TPS the controls feel clunky, but Binary Domain's controls feel quick, fluid, and natural. The gameplay is rock solid. The sound of metal on metal as your rounds splinter off android armor is satisfying. Annoyed that some video games take half a dozen shots to take down a human enemy? Well in this game every bullet counts as you'll peel off enemy android armor depending on where you place your shots. You also get more money for head shots, type of enemy, etc. in which you can use to buy upgrades. The battling never gets old. There are plenty of boss battles, quicktime events, etc. that keep the game varied. A thrilling story that initially seems bland like most games, but as it progresses it propels into one that Sci-Fi greats like Isaac Asimov would appreciate. The setting/environments are definitely above average. The entire atmosphere of the game is one that adds to its quality. One thing this game does exceptionally well is the banter between the squad mates during gameplay. They are continuously chatting making it actually feel like you are in a squad instead of playing a videogame with AI teammates. There are a few issues. One is the commands. Some responses just simply don't make sense. Additionally, some of the lines your squad uses was insanely repetitive (more prevalent in the beginning) that happens so often in videogames. Sometimes your squad mates feel completely useless. Next, the boss battles are frustrating. You'll be on the ground for most of them as it is way too easy to get knocked down and your health depletes far too quickly.… Expand

    I'll keep this short. Terrible voice controls that keep insisting that you're cursing when you're not, terrible floaty controls, bland enemies, terrible gameplay sequences and terrible dialogue. Basically, Binary Domain is pretty terrible. There are too many great games and life is too short. Avoid and play something better instead.

    Binary domain is a great game with a great history, frenetic action shooter, great graphics with some a la vanquish style, the early begginning maybe some railroad prograssion but everything else is good, higly recomended, only real bad thing is the frame rate in some parts, but you can deal with it

The real star of the Domain though is the deformation of your bot foes. Decapitate their head and they'll instantly fire at fellow drones. Shoot out their legs, they'll scrabble over to you in an attempt to take you out. In this way it's more hectic than other shooters. Though there are great ideas at work, it's still all about progression- shooting, following objectives and orders whilst occassionally varying up the repetition with boss fights and some wild excursions.     A excellent third person shooter. Though it looks generic and mediocre at first glance, it has a lot of things which sets it apart from other third person shooters. The 'trust' system is a great addition to the genre, the story is brilliant and shooting robots never gets old.

There's also times when you will be fighting a mech but wont know whether or not your attacks are being effective.

However, I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered just how well they've done with Binary Domain. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered just how well they've done with Binary Domain. The graphics are a wonderful, detailed affair - Sega got it spot-on with the limb destruction on the various robots. There were times I felt like I was in the middle of a Terminator movie. Unfortunately, this also extends to some of the cheesy lines: Sega have made a multicultural team of squadmates, but fallen into the trap of making some of their lines very stereotypical. That's not to say the characters aren't well written; they most certainly are, but a lot of the depth is revealed towards the middle and end of the game. What seems like a one-dimensional rag-tag bunch turns out to be something much different.

    The music is atmospheric, neither standing out or fading away. It serves its purpose, highlighting the tone of each area or set piece, but I wouldn't shell out for the OST. Where Binary Domain really excels is the gameplay and story. Being a fan of Gears of War, I was always hungry for more depth; Binary Domain does this brilliantly. The player is morally and philosophically challenged at several points over the span of the game, but never loses its sense of pace. Every run-and-gun moment is offset with conversation, occasional "rest points", then straight back into the action. The set pieces are varied and universally fun, with mixes of advanced QTEs and interactive cutscenes, many more than I had expected to see. Despite being set geographically in only one location, the game does a good job of making you feel as though you're progressing.

    I wouldn't say Binary Domain is perfect, but it's much better than the Critic Metascore gives it credit for. It's such a shame that this might be seen as a failure, because I would love to see Sega rewarded for making such a wonderful game.    … Expand

    Starting off my review, the command/dialogue system, good but with the options available it can get rather confusing what your actually saying and wondering why saying "you fool" is a dialogue option where it makes no sense(mic untested). Graphics, good, it isn't battlefield 3, but they are pretty standard graphics of the last few years.
    Audio, okay, but guns just don't sound right when you listen to them, otherwise fine, nice soundtrack. Gameplay, a rather standard third person shooter (find cover and shoot from there), upgrading weapons/customising nanomachines is boring(leveling up), the trust meter is a strange thing, leveled up with headshots/one hit kills/melee kills and agreeing with your team. Team commands, I found on the last boss fight my team member refused to revive another making me use up MY medkits to get them to just go down after a few seconds. Otherwise campaign is good however incredibly short. (Total for Campaign8/10-length)
    Now the multiplayer, utterly and completely mind-blowing at how it's dissapointing. After a good campaign I thought I'd try multiplayer(about 2months after release), hardly anybody online and 85% are Japanese(maybe Chinese the writting all looks the same to me), a poor attempt at multiplayer filled with max level people and it's incredibly unbalanced. So final decision on this game overall good but not great due to length and sub-standard multiplayer and low replayability of campaign.

    Yes a big fat 5 best describes binary domain.

    Yas, if your team is the one who localized Binary Domain, I need to give you some serious commendations. The script, the voicework, and the crisp presentation are all high-caliber. The same love and care that obviously went into the localization for Yakuza 4 and Dead Souls are here, but the addition of a great English dub makes it even more impressive (not that I would EVER want the Yakuza games to be voiced in English again, mind you).

    That being said, Binary Domain is still quite different than its Yakuza brethren. It's a lot more linear, and the gimmicky voice command and relationship systems don't work that well most times. The multiplayer is also pretty mediocre, but the single-player campaign is far more enjoyable than any standard Western shooter that I've played in the last few years. The constant banter between teammates, the well-conceived story, the atmospheric locales, the variety of gameplay, the brilliant mechanical designs, and the satisfaction of blowing pieces off of the enemy bots all combine for some compelling gameplay and replay value. The enemies are fairly intelligent and can be quite difficult to take down, which contributes to a sense of real achievement. Menus and interface components are streamlined and user-friendly, and the auto-save/checkpoint system is about as perfect as you could ever hope to have. You never need to worry about losing progress or screwing up a save file, career profiles, hard saves vs. quicksaves, or any of the other aggravations that seem to pop up in Western shooter campaigns.

    Also, the plethora of upgrades, crafting options, item pickups, and shop offerings still feel like they benefited from Yakuza's pedigree. And like Yakuza, you actually start to understand and genuinely care about the characters, even if they do seem painfully stereotypical and forgettable in the first couple hours. I love the way that minor puzzles, mini-games, and QTE-esque rail sequences keep the shooter combat from feeling repetitive, and the quality cutscenes are lengthy but don't overstay their welcome. Players can also approach objectives in a variety of ways. NPC squad members might suggest an action to take down the enemy, but you are still welcome to do it your own way, to which they will sometimes reply "nevermind" in a comical way. The script is perfectly balanced, too, throwing in some clever humor amidst the intense drama of the narrative. It tackles some difficult existential material at times, so the occasional comic relief is certainly appreciated.

    If there is one thing that I could say is a missed opportunity, though, it's the linear structure of the game. While shooters normally ARE linear and it may not bother a majority of players, I feel like Binary Domain would have been a more stand-out title if it had allowed you to approach mission content and objectives in a more free-roaming fashion. I didn't expect the game to be a Mass Effect contender or anything, but if you were able to set up a base camp as you moved through Tokyo and handle secondary objectives freely before moving to the next hot spot, perhaps even selecting your teammates to supplement your abilities in each scenario, it probably would have made better use of the relationship system and customization that the game touts. Still, this is just wishful thinking, and perhaps the devs will consider that if Binary Domain 2 ever becomes a possibility. Otherwise, the major gripes that you will hear in reviews for this game are focused on the lack of multiplayer options. Sure, the mainstays are present, though not original or revolutionary by any stretch, and there is no campaign co-op. And that's a shame, since it could've garnered Binary Domain some much-deserved attention from critics and players alike.

    The bottom line is this - Binary Domain is, surprisingly, one of the best third-person shooters we've received in the seventh generation, if only for its meaty single-player campaign. Unfortunately, the game wasn't marketed very well for its American release, and many gamers may overlook it assuming that it's just a generic throw-away title. In actuality, even the best Western TPS franchises could learn from Binary Domain's stellar presentation and localized script. I would encourage ever Yakuza fan, shooter fan, or general action gamer to give Binary Domain a shot, and you may be pleasantly surprised by the quality of its experience.    … Expand

    Just got it today, only played the first mission and a little of the second chapter and so far it's exactly what most people are saying, wonderful & awesome game. Pick up if you get a chance, especially if you are a shooter/action fan.

The AI is also goofy at points, often bumbling into your line of fire and forcing you to lose trust with them as they complain about it. Trust is another mechanic that didn't pan out that well. By doing well in combat or responding favorably to dialogue cues, you can increase trust levels with certain party members. This affects the outcome of certain plot points in the story, but little else. These plot points are also few and far between. I was hoping choosing different companions when replaying portions of the game would affect the outcome of the events more, but sadly, it doesn't. The competitive multiplayer modes are awful but the cooperative modes are a blast. Buy this game mainly for the single player, which is somewhat replayable, and the coop modes. Great game.… Expand

A very good challenge on hard, recommended difficulty too enjoy the enemy ai. they will try to out think you. completion time is around 8 to10 hours a little longer if want all the collectables. the campaign story is one of the best this year, robots, politics and humanity to weave an interesting story around some characters you actually care about by the end . re-playable by changing your team members each with there own skills and upgrades but you always play as dan the main character and voice or button control your team. Voice control works after adjusting settings and i found using an old mic worked better than the official one. using voice isnt needed but adds to the overall feel of the gameplay. character voices are localised so you have a robot ninja that speaks french for example . Over all good voice acting in this game no corny mockney accents anywere to be seen. after the campaign you have 50 wave horde mode, online co op and multiplayer ,deathmatch, team death match. more like socom online than cod mainly japanese players online but fairly busy and populated lobbies. i would recommend this game if you liked the movie ai robot as the robots look similar in places. the boss fights are great fun while still challenging.     I bought SXX, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and got a third free - Binary Domain. For me the best arcade shooter on PS3 (similar to Gears of War on 360).
    Neotokyo style + good graphic + simple controls + dynamic action + typical Japanese storyline :) you just enjoy playing it without getting bored.
    really need to appreciate this perfect game and to support the artists by buying the game.

But boy, this game is absolutely astounding ! Characters are great, voice acting is superb, graphics are nice, AI is responsive, voice commands work, a little joke here and there to lighten up the mood and one of the greatestI was watching this game since it was announced and had very high hopes for it.     Played the demo, all i can say: WOW! Great fantastic game, and its got perfect graphics. Runnings a little weird, but cool game all the way. People who rated it bad, are too stupid to know how to get past the enemies lol.

    There's no online co-op which would have boosted my enjoyment further, and I can't see why Sega didn't think to include it seeing as you're always fighting in groups of 2 or 3 within the story. Shame.
    Overall it's a solid shooter, i can't say I didn't enjoy it. But it brings few new ideas to the genre, and without campaign co-op which it is so crying out for, a bit of a let down.    … Expand

    At first i thought it was just another gears of war cover shooter but after the initial disappointment i realized i was having a blast and couldn't put the game down. Often cheesy but always entertaining this game delivers the goods with the most    Like Sci-Fi, robots or just a good action romp?     Often cheesy but always entertaining this game delivers the goods with the most satisfying shooting around! Mix in squad based commands via mic ( it actually works pretty well ) or buttons, a loyalty system where helping and talking to your team mates in the right way will make them more keen to follow your every word and even some light rpg mechanics with a nanomachine upgrade system and you are set for some good times.

    Did i mention some of the most awesome and bad ass boss fights? Well theres that too.

    Seriously just pick it up and give it an hour of your time before you judge, you wont be disappointed i promise.    … Expand

Few little things like some voice not always "perfect" at a given time, a sporadic repetitiveness of some teammates in few circumstances, or the smallness of some non-shooting areas doesn't scratch a bit the greatness of this game. Just do yourself a favour, it's a wonderful 2PS or "TPS", as good as GoW series if not even better, don't ruin it pick watching anything on the web, if you can think you could like the gender buy it blindfold, you will not be disappointed. I can highly recommend this game, I give it an overall 9,4 (better CG on PS3 but better controls and details on 360) cause it deserves it, happy robot wrecking to everyone...and thanks to you Nagoshi for this great game.… Expand

    For shooter fans craving something with a little more substance, Binary Domain is definitely the ticket. Behind its hokey yet self-aware characters and stereotypical premise is a hugely intelligent shooter, one that packs just as much heart as it does brawn.
