If you can get past the games dated RPG mechanics as well as some of it's design flaws there is a lot of fun to be had with Wild Arms 3. Even with all it's issues the enjoyable story, western steam-punk fantasy setting, and catchy soundtrack should make up for a lot of the games faults. If your fond of older RPGs then you'll likely have a good time while it lasts.

This game features wild, nonstop action mixed with a respectable battle engine, it's just really hard sometimes.

Just one word, "Cool!" That basically sums up the entire game.

It would be the best game only if it had actual diaglogue, not subtitles.

the man behind this game design is a moron. Using the same button for running and taking is the most stupid thing i ever saw in a game... This choice of game design make the millenium puzzle a pain in the butt. I hate this silly game

WildArms3 has a cool western-style soundtrack and fast battles. Story also nice. Haven't played much yet but it surely will be as good as part1 and 2. I am sure of it!! If not then i will post it here!! ;)

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Incredible from beginning to end. The combat system is world class and like 80 percent of the magic you get is useful and unique. There is a spell that can restart the battle. Ive never seen that before or since. The characters are very likeable and they each are uniquely useful in their own way. A near perfect game Expand

An underrated gem for the PS2, Wild Arms 3 boasts an impressive and well fleshed out cast of characters, an innovative combat system, a constantly escalating story with tightly written and well planned arcs, some of the best music of its era, all wrapped up in a delightful Wild West desertpunk package that stands out among RPGs to this day. The developers constantly went out of their way to break the JRPG standards of the time, both in mechanics and structure, and it shows. While the game’s visual polish has faded somewhat, it remains a solid title. Sony’s decision to re-release this on PS4 was no coincidence, because this game deserves way more love in hindsight. Im hoping that Sony reinvests in this franchise (though it’s not likely since the latest game has gone to mobile), because this one deserves a remake/update. Expand

Play it for sure, but at your own risk. and it's one of those where you'll be playing for the rest of your life if you don't absolutely use a guide. No guide, then just don't even bother. it's a hassle even with one. Expand

That said, there is no doubt that this is a fantastic game that contains believable characters (surely a rarity in the world of RPGs) and although occasionally stuttering in a fit of lost focus, manages to both charm and delight with its fresh locales and gung-ho attitude.
