SteveP.Nov 1, 2002The game is very good if you're planning of playing alone! The career system is well done. The only reason why it's not a 10 is because the multiplayer isn't very good.

PoncherelloNov 4, 2002AMAZING graphics, Great single player action and outstanding physics. I've played a lot of racing games and this one just feels right. The courses are varied and detailed and there are plenty of them to keep you busy.

MetalInc.Oct 30, 2002Great single player experience......but do not be fooled by the multi player aspect.....it is one racer at a time....not true multi player. As a multi player game it is VERY lacking, but as a single player game it is outstanding.

Sep 22, 2013I played this game in 2013 and really like it! Cool graphics for PlayStation 2, nice cars and an interesting gameplay. It is a bit hard at first but then you get used to.

Apr 27, 2023I liked it, it's fun and a very arcade gameplay, it just lacked more smoothness and weight in the movement of the car because it looks like a cashier moving! The movement of the car is horrible

It could have been a great driving sim were it not marred by its poor control.

Official U.S. Playstation MagazineThe feeling of brute force in even the smallest of cars is wonderful... Gearheads will love it. [Jan 2003, p.132]

Fans of both the series and racing titles will lap this up (no pun intended).
