An enjoyable underwater escapade with plenty of nice touches. It's aimed at youngsters, but even the over-nines will get some enjoyment out of it. [Apr 2006, p.109]
  2. As mediocre as a video game can get when viewed as a whole.
  3. A cute marketing vehicle that is too difficult and underdeveloped for its target audience.

If I didn’t hate God before I certainly do now.

The Bible Game is a trivia and mini game based party game. It has a game show mode where four players partake in challenges and religious trivia. It is published by Crave Entertainment. The same fellas that unleashed Trigger Man on the world.

The major issue of this game isn’t even the shoddy religious themes or the shallow trivia. It’s the mini games. The mechanics are downright disparaging. The A.I. is already jacked beyond belief, leading to extremely tough and challenging gameplay so poor controls and mechanics just make it frustrating.

Simply put – it’s a poorly designed game that was meant to turn a quick buck on an untapped market. Serving the only real God we all believe in – our wallets.

Once the timer runs down youThis game is a mix between trivia and trivial mini games. It is presented like a game show and is set on a timer. Once the timer runs down you have a final round which is game, not trivia based. The fun in the game is that it is well designed to be interactive for everyone. Gamers who know the trivia may score high on the trivia sections but may do bad on the gaming mini games. The opposite is also true so it doesn't matter your knowledge or skill the game could be won by either. Games are short and sweet and random for the most part. I scored this game low because it has very trivial games, which are fun, however some have such archaic designs combined with terrible visual design the games can boil down to just fumbling around until the timer runs out. With regards to trivia there is a reward for buzzing in first and getting the correct answer but no penalty for buzzing in first and getting the answer wrong. So it's kinda cheatable in a sense or bad game design depending how you want to view it. The games presentation is fun however it's also has little staying power. After a few rounds or games this is a game which could easily wear thin quickly. On the other hand the game has pretty decent instant appeal. It is very user friendly and by good design is suitable for any group of people getting together for a first play. For some one or two gameplays will reveal all the game has to offer and so I would not recommend this game to everyone. It is fun for everyone but I think I'd only recommend it to individuals who really are looking for a trivia game around the topic. Full Review »
