    Star Wars Battlefront II Classic is definitely one of the best Star Wars games that I have played. The Story of the 501st is a good idea and the missions are great. The maps have Easter eggs and are not to big but not to small either. The Multiplayer is still working in 2023 and the Game has also some different modes.

    One of the best games i have ever played everything is so perfect the campaign is one of the best out of all the star wars games it even feels like you are playing in the movies

    Some of my best memories come from playing this game with my dad on splitscreen when I was a kid. A timeless classic. Hundreds and hundreds of hours played, and I will never get bored of it. It's probably the only game that I can say I was extremely good at. The first Battlefront was really good, but this one improves upon that in every single way.

    I love this game. I thought the original was awesome and this is even better, with the ability to fight in space which is completely terrific and to finally wield a lightsaber is brilliant. I have this on PSP and it almost seems impossible to carry such a large amount of entertainment in my pocket. I can play with my mates while i'm on the other side of my room and the bonus trials are terrific. I enjoy playing on Episode III environments such as mustafar. You can also ride vehicles such as speeders on Kashyyk and play as characters such as Luke, Yoda, Darth Vader and General Grievous This truly is one of the best games ever made and you can never get bored of it!    … Expand

    The best star wars game i ve ever played, it has so much content, the battles are so inmersive, it also has a campaign about the clone wars before and after order 66 (with cinematics and a clone diary), the put all of their effort to make this game awesome and they did it, one of the best games in history

    In my opinion this is one of the greatest Star Wars games ever. I never played this game as a younger kid, so I don't come at with any nostalgia bias, but when I bought this game and played it, I was amazed at how fun it was for being more than 15 years old. Comparing it to the EA Battlefront 2, sure that game is fun, but there's something about Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Classic that justIn my opinion this is one of the greatest Star Wars games ever. This game has many different things to do, whether you want to play during the original trilogy era, or the prequel era it has a treasure trove of content for both. Want to have a giant space battle over Tatooine? Its got it. Want to shoot Gungans on Naboo? Its got it. Want to defend Endor forests as an Ewok? Its got it. Want to have a massive battle on Hoth, and pilot a snowspeeder and take down AT-AT's just like in the movie? Its got it. This game is wholesome, and still holds up despite being older. It's very fun and very replayable and in my 47 hours of gameplay I haven't found any sort of bug or problem with this game. It is arguably one of the all-time best Star Wars games. 10/10 would definitely recommend.… Expand

    Me gustaria poder explicar de manera sencilla y concisa lo simplemente genial e increible que Star Wars Battlefront 2 es, podria incluso llegar al limite de caracteres que MetaCritic ofrece y aun asi mis palabras no harian justicia a semejante obra maestra. Dicho lo anterior, si tuviese que explicar por que Star Wars es la joya que es, les    Sencillamente el mejor juego de Star Wars.

    Me gustaria poder explicar de manera sencilla y concisa lo simplemente genial e increible que Star Wars Battlefront 2 es, podria incluso llegar al limite de caracteres que MetaCritic ofrece y aun asi mis palabras no harian justicia a semejante obra maestra.

    Dicho lo anterior, si tuviese que explicar por que Star Wars es la joya que es, les puedo decir que:

    El aprovechamiento de los graficos y lo bien que se veia en la consola en sus tiempos y lo bien que ha envejecido a pesar de los 16 años que han pasado desde el dia de su creacion es sencillamente sorprendente, los modelos de los personajes y los escenarios ademas de los efectos se siguen mirando y sientiendo bastante acordes a los filmes y siguen luciendo muy bien hoy dia.

    Los mapas son increiblemente inmersivos, no solo por el nivel de semejanza que comparten con lo que vimos en el filme, sino que tambien estos se ven acomañados por distintos eventos que los hacen incluso mas inmersivos y acordes a los filmes, desde los vehiculos que coinciden con lo visto a la pelicula y cambian dependiendo del mapa que se este jugando, hasta pequeños eventos que ocurren durante el combate, por ejemplo: en Hoth para poder tomar un puesto de mando de los Rebeldes, antes deberemos destruir los generadores de la base rebelde con la ayuda de los AT-AT o en Kashyk, podremos destruir la gran barricada de los Wookie para poder acceder con mayor facilidad y arrasar su base o en Endor, lugar en el cual los Ewok lucharan a nuestro lado para acabar con el imperio o en Tatooine, donde los Jawa seran Creaturas neutrales, las cuales se dedicaran a reparar los daños causados a la infraestructura y la tecnologia del mapa o tambien los Guardias Gamorrianos, los cuales se encargaran de atacar a ambos bandos cuando se encuentren en el palacio de Jabba, detalles que aunque parezcan pequeños en realidad son ENORMES y es de verdad una caricia en el alma tener esta calidad de detalles, los cuales no hacen sino aumentar aun mas la inmersividad que existe a la hora de jugar y diferenciandolo de sus sucesores.

    No voy a mentir, las clases no son "Perfectas", hay algunas que estan muy lejos de serlo, pero no hay ninguna clase que sea realmente desbalanceada (Para bien) clases como el Bothan Spy, el Magna Guardia y el Oficial Imperial se quedan muy atras en comparacion a todas las demas por su poca utilidad dentro del combate y su peculiar estilo de juego, que si bien no las hace clases injugables, son clases algo situacionales y poco efectivas en comparacion a las demas unidades. Pero hablando de las demas, el modo en que todas tienen un proposito y encajan tan bien en los escenarios brindando apoyo de distintos modos hacen del Meta de Star Wars Battlefront uno bastante variado y divertido, puedes jugar cualquiera de las clases y no hay 1 sola que me haya aburrido.

    La implementacion de los Heroes y Villanos dentro de las peleas terrestres es increiblemente divertida y el modo en que los poderes de la fuerza y/o habilidades que poseen los "Heroes y Villanos" esta muy bien implementada, la inmersidad que sientes al jugar con Darth Vader en el Tantive es indescriptible.

    El nuevo modo de juego del cual carecia su predecesor, "Asalto Espacial" es una implementacion sencillamente genial, en el sentido anglosajon de la palabra, no he jugado ningun otro juego de Star Wars que tenga un sistema de combate espacial tan fiel a lo visto en los filmes y con mecanicas sencillamente tan divertidas e inmersivas como lo he podido probar en Battlefront II y creo verdaderamente que esta implementacion deberia ser objeto de estudio para todos aquellos Game Designers que quieran o pretendan hacer algo aunque sea la mitad de divertido como lo es este modo de juego.

    Hay tantas cosas que se me escapan en esta critica, cosas como los Vehiculos y el hecho de poder compartirlos con compañeros los cuales pueden accionar diferentes mecanicas y torretas dentro del mismo y el como la I.A de este juego esta tan bien implementada tanto del lado aliado como del enemigo, ademas del hecho de que conforme vayas jugando inicias con un Rango, mismo que va aumentando conforme vayas jugando al mismo y vayas ganando "Reputacion" dentro del campo de batalla en las distintas batallas, y el como eso afecta el comportamiento de las I.A aliadas...

    Hay tantas cosas por decir de este maravilloso juego, pero pocas que puedan realmente describir lo genuinamente genial que es, asi que en su lugar les dare un consejo.

    The game is a farming simulator against ai. It is fun. If the game had online multiplayer or more difficult ai it would be a six out of ten.

    This game is sure to bring hours of fun to any star wars fan. The campaign is great. I love the galactic conquest gamemode and it has a great storyline. I love all the mods available for this game like the kotor mod and maps like raxus prime and dantooine. I do recommend PC for this game because the controls are easier. There are soooooooooooooooo many game modes in this game like huntThis game is sure to bring hours of fun to any star wars fan. The campaign is great.     Totally wish the new BF2 could have been this fun and cool. This one will be my forever favorite! I loved this title so much. I ended up playing it on PS2 first and then got it again for PC later on. This is what inspired the new BF’s but they are not nearly as good and everyone who played the older BF’s know that. Give this one a try if you haven’t! You upgrade your troopers byTotally wish the new BF2 could have been this fun and cool. This one will be my forever favorite! I loved this title so much.     AIs are one of the best but also one of the worst factors of the game. They sometimes just go afk and stay in one area when the matches become close. There are some parts of some maps where they get stuck like that building in Naboo. But they can be really smart at times like when you are away from the battlefield and come into a 1 v 1 they will actually sidestep when you're shooting at them, crank the difficulty to elite and u might even lose that 1 v 1.

    Guns are not accurate at all. I dont get whether its the reticles or the actual guns but either way its ****.

    Speaking of guns, if u go 1st person you can see they reused models in the SAME classes and there are
    only four factions. This **** was lazy even for ps2 standards.

    Also just a nitpick but jedis with two lightsabers should not have the throwing ability or either they can attack whilst the other one is returning back not in between cuz then whats the point.

    Overall though if you can get past these few mistakes you got a detailed huge maps with unique interactables, investing gamemodes like galactic conquest and the new space battles, varied vehicles, special classes, ofcourse mos eisley assault and one of the greatest online/splitscreen multiplayers if you played it back in its heyday. Its probably worth an 8 but for those modding fanatics out there and the fact that this came out 15 years ago its a 9.    … Expand

    This game is one of the best games I have ever played, It falls right behind Knights of the old republic not because KOTOR prioritized story, but rather this game constantly kept we wanting to come back because of the fun gun play and the great controls, graphic, and single player experience.

    The biggest advantage:
    Brilliant gameplay in its simplicity.
    Biggest flaw:
    Some of the stupid bots I've seen, but they're causing problems at first.

    Oh, and some there is a mistake which consists in the fact that instead of names they are displayed [NULL] but it can be easily fixed by going into the option to start and type: / lang 0

    In my opinion, this is one of the best shooters (I have over 130 hours in it) and I highly recommend it.    … Expand

When we were younger my brother and I would sneak out of bed at 5AM to sneak to the basement and play Battlefront II for an hour and a half before quietly getting back in bed before my parents came to "wake us up" for school.

    It's not without    This game is one of the finest pieces of electronic entertainment of all time. In fact I've often described it as the game that made me a gamer. When we were younger my brother and I would sneak out of bed at 5AM to sneak to the basement and play Battlefront II for an hour and a half before quietly getting back in bed before my parents came to "wake us up" for school.

    It's not without its faults, for example, enemies like to turn around for no reason if you track them with a sniper rifle, making them hard to hit at times, and the award weapon system gives vastly more powerful weapons (with the exception of the Beam Rifle award sniper, that which always bugged me) that outclass players without them meteorically. But these are so vastly overshadowed by the infinite replayability and ahead of its time gameplay that I thoroughly considered just calling it faultless.

    To me, Battlefront II is a defining game of the sixth generation, and I would recommend it to anyone who's willing to play a game with 2005 graphics.    … Expand

    With the multiplayer servers coming back online as of October 2017, and cross-play compatibility between GOG and steam copies, I bet the original Star Wars: Battlefront II will retain more concurrent players 6 months down the track than the new one coming out Nov 14, 2017.

    I've easily put more time into this game than any other FPS I've ever played. It has managed to somehow find the perfect balance of skill and ease, which is something many FPS games struggle with.

    Star Wars: Battlefront II has the single greatest replayability of any game ever made. Period. I have spent at least 50 hours on this game and am looking forward to 50 more. The only slight negative aspect is that, yes, the graphics are worse than I, but you will not even notice when your having this much fun.

    9.6 - As good as Battlefront I was, Battlefront II significantly upgraded and eliminated most of the flaws from the first and added various features, especially Jedi battles. Fantastic sequel.

    In my opinion, Star Wars: Battlefront II was one of the 6th generations best shooters. The first Battlefront was very good but this game only takes that experience and make it even better. Improved mechanics, interesting campaign story, epic Galactic Conquest, fun instant action, playable heroes and villains, good number of and nicely designed maps. This game is definitely better then theIn my opinion, Star Wars: Battlefront II was one of the 6th generations best shooters. The first Battlefront was very good but this game only takes that experience and make it even better. Improved mechanics, interesting campaign story, epic Galactic Conquest, fun instant action, playable heroes and villains, good number of and nicely designed maps.     Not as good as the first one, never the less, the force is strong with this one. Heroes become playable characters and may be used in the battlefield for a limited time.The game includes a plethora of great maps, including the movie locations from Episode III. The space battles are a little chaotic and the player will need some practice to get used to them.

    mmmm por donde puedo comenzar no se la verdad , en 2009 me regalaron la ps2, con el tiempo un familiar mio me paso este juego (pero pirata XD) lo puse en la consola y la pantalla de inicio con la música clásica de star wars . pero al principio pensaba que me iba a encontrar con una mie de juego aunque no fue así , mi primera partida fue algo pésima a mi corta edad no sabia que era un fpsmmmm por donde puedo comenzar no se la verdad , en 2009 me regalaron la ps2, con el tiempo un familiar mio me paso este juego (pero pirata XD) lo puse en la consola y la pantalla de inicio con la música clásica de star wars . pero al principio pensaba que me iba a encontrar con una mie de juego aunque no fue así , mi primera partida fue algo pésima a mi corta edad no sabia que era un fps ( que todos sabemos es un juego de disparos) ese dia fue especial ya que jugue toda la tarde mi primer vicio frente a un televisor . al pasar los días me metí al modo "conquista galáctica" muy sencillo de comprender como funcionaba las clases se desbloqueaban al tener mas dinero , varios beneficios que se podían comprar como sabotaje , también las naves nodrizas , me pase ese modo muchas veces con las 4 facciones que todos conocen . una de las cosas que mas me llamaban la atención era el modo de las batallas espaciales de los cruceros estelares . usar las naves es algo fantástico . sus controles no son del otro mundo de complejo las naves se manejan de forma fluida y cuando combates con otra nave parece una verdadera danza . cada nave tiene algo único, unas mas rápidas que otras , mas poderosas y resistentes etc. existe un mapa que puedes jugar como heruoe o villano , según mi opinión de este mapa fue la mejor idea que se les pudo ocurrir pero lo único malo que en este mapa los herues siempre ganan XD , una ves use a dark maul y solamente usando a el pude ganar jajjaa. un modo campaña excepcional la historia de la 501 una verdadera maravilla con todos sus eventos únicos . aunque habían
    etapas de la historia que era casi imposible pasar , pero con paciencia se podía pasar . tiene muchos mapas y variados aunque el favorito de todos seria hot ( mi opinión del mejor mapa) . al pasar el año al jugarlo tuve que usar lentes jejejej por mi vicio . otros puntos positivos de este juego son las diversas clases , unidades especiales ( que son las mas poderosas creo que tienen menos vida que le mismo francotirador) . los vehículos muy bn echos los gráficos buenisimos mucho mas logrados que su primera entrega la música clásica del juego en ps2 modo cooperativo muy bn logrado . excelentes mapas . un punto negativo que los cruceros no se mueven están intactos. que mas decir de esta obra maestra de los videojuegos , mi memory car de 8mg se lleno de saves de solo ese juego . para los creadores del juego les doy gracias por darme una excelente infancia :3    … Expand

    It captures the thrills of the original, and spices up a few areas while adding some new things. Unfortunately, space battles drag down the total package; but at least it's trying something different.
