JJSnuzzyMay 13, 2003Its a great remake of the arcade version which is said to be locked into the game..I loved the smooth handling of the game but the objective clearing to move on to diffrent levels is probably the most annoyning thing about this game...

NicholasJ.Apr 27, 2002There is just one thing to say about this game: STUNNING. You go from running over bad guys to destroying ships. Buy this game.

RohitDec 25, 2002Its not that great game. Rent it first then see if you like it. But I wouldn't buy it.

Jan 3, 2014A remake of the 1983 game. A used copy is out there somewhere. Find and buy it. It's mindless fun, but can be quite difficult. Here's hoping Sony would re-release it on PSN

Jun 17, 2019Fast-paced destructive fun in delightfully varying environments with a nice James Bond -esque agent feel to it. The graphics still look extremely good: they must've been amazing back in the day! The mission objectives can be slightly overwhelming as they clearly cannot all be completed in one run.

Jul 15, 2023Update of a rather primitive top down scroller, this 3D version is a road racer/shoot 'em up hybrid that puts you in the hot seat of a James Bond style super car. It's the kind of game that could've been fantastic as levels within a larger sandbox style affair, but on its own there's not *quite* enough to it. It is fast, frantic and fun while it lasts though.

Reborn into a new era of gaming, SpyHunter maintains its great name for being a hardcore action racing title.
-
Midway has perfectly translated SPY HUNTER into the 3D world and everything feels just right.
-
It manages to bring this classic drive-and-shoot arcade game into the next-generation of polygonal gaming without losing the core appeal of the original.
