    Not revolutionary, but it just plays so damn well. The stable frame rate, good graphics for the time, and great gameplay make it worth playing, even 20 years on.

    Very basic unspecial platformer. Provides some fun fan service to SpongeBob fans, but the gameplay is utterly forgettable with a move set that has pretty much 0 potential for experimentation or satisfying skips, and levels which are not especially strong for the most part.

    the game is really fun even after you finish the game its still fun to play it again and collect the other spatulas. that i give it 9

    Eu amo esse jogo! Na minha opinião é o melhor jogo baseado em desenho. Fiz 100% uma vez em fevereiro de 2020 no PS2. Só não dou nota 10 porque tem umas partes e inimigos que fazem eu passar um pouco de raiva, se não seria nota máxima com toda certeza!

    Open ended platformer great for spongebob fans
    Amazing music and gameplay.

    Game feels like a full experience start to finish, the difficulty curves are great, the platforming is also fun and simple.

    Definitely the best spongebob game.

    It's a solid platforming game the levels are great despite some glitches and technical problems the gameplay is fun and controls well, I enjoyed the three playable characters, and there's a good amount of replay value and fun boss battles, With Great humor and nice colorful graphics.

    It's a must own for platforming fans and especially for spongebob fans.

This game is highly coveted for not taking the easy route and being a meaningless shovelware title. No matter how you look at it no matter the quality a game on on of the best selling consoles based upon one of the most watched shows was going to sell well but heavy iron studios put in the time to make not only a worthwhile Spongebob game but a worthwhile 6th generation gaming experience. The game sees you collecting shiny objects while completing tasks in open world levels with the end goal of getting 75 golden spatulas to reach the final boss and complete the game. In short the golden spatulas are comparable to stars in Super Mario 64 and shiny objects are similar to coins in that game. While the game is fun to play and complete it isn't without its flaws. First off all aside from the plethora of references to the show which are all appreciated the game doesn't do much to stand out as a platforming game. Most of the common tropes are accounted for and the game doesn't have any unique style of gameplay or gimmicks that make the game feel stand out at all. I personally don't find any trouble getting past these issues but I'm sure that there are some people who will. The game is also infamous for the kelp forest level which contains slow and tedious gameplay and after the first couple spatulas is not fun to play at all. Aside from those minor hiccups you can find the game used for relatively cheap and in my opinion is definitely worth picking up.… Expand

    The game is magnificent for its platforming genre so you will find it a 10/10 if you haven't played any game of the high-level platforming genre in the past (e.g the 3D Mario games or other derivatives like A Hat in Time). The main flaws other than the lack of serious originality in the platforming genre was the fact that the levels were not designed impeccably (see Mario 3D games for that) so in several cases you had to follow counter-intuitive routes and they were also in a small but noticeable part bugged so it needed more quality-assurance testing too.… Expand

    this review is actually for the new remaster I did play this as a kid though aswell it's pretty good as a platformer ,graphics are great ,honestly not much you can say that's bad for only 30$ I'd love to see more remastered games .

    An amazing game. I never got to play the original so I am grateful that they made a remaster to this classic game. The game does have bugs and it at some points does seem a little bit empty. especially when you get to the end game it starts getting slightly tedious. Still an amazing experience and a fun game. 8/10

    Pretty decent game, never played the original but had a great time with the remake, definitely better than the last of us 2 that i traded in to get this game, well worth it IMO.

    It's a well done Spongebob game that has all the charm, music and characters you know from the cartoons. It's humorous and very enjoyable. What's not to love about it?

    This game is not just like any other TV video game tie in. It actually feels like you're playing through an episode of SpongeBob better yet not just any SpongeBob episode but the season 2 episodes of SpongeBob the best ones if I wasn't clear. It is a fantastic platformer before I found this game back in the early 2000s I had only come from Mario being my main platformer. I felt right atThis game is not just like any other TV video game tie in.     This game was great I don't know what the critics were thinking and how the critic average was below 80! Battle for Bikini Bottom is a fun and engaging platformer.

    I used to like Mario 64. but now that I’ve played this I think it’s better than Mario 64. I like how it references the episodes of spongebob. the thing I don’t like is that the voices for Mr. Krabs & Mermaid Man weren’t there. And now that there is a remake coming in 2021 I am very excited

    SUPER SUPER SUPER underrated game it offers amazing gameplay, atmosphere, music, very creative level design and an outstanding hub world that is very appealing to go through. I really wish that this game could get much more recognition because it truly is an outstanding 3d platformer PLEASE MAKE AN HD REMASTER!

    Like a sponge that absorbs hours of your time, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom will keep young gamers very occupied. By kids' standards I'm "old," but that didn't stop me from loving this game.
